Brian Dudek Remember to up vote your idea. Another tool where this functionality might be applicable would be Delete Field: As you noted, any tool that uses the Add Many dropdown box. Could you update the title of the Idea so that it isn't specific to the Dissolve tool; rather, refers to the functionality of the Add Many dropdown box? The description could include examples of the Dissolve and Delete Field tools. This would help the community find and vote on the idea. Thank you!

Thank you for the idea, infobleep. Yes, ArcGIS Pro is part of the ArcGIS Desktop product. Categorizing the idea as Desktop and including ArcGIS Pro in the title is perfect! I understand that the request is generally for all documentation, but if you have any specific examples of places where you think it would be particularly helpful, that will help understand where or what kinds of topics to focus on first. Thank you!

Greg, The Q & A for this year's UC provides the answer to your question. Will ArcMap be replaced with ArcGIS Pro? http://www.esri.com/about/events/uc/get-involved/q-and-a#id=1584 "Yes. ArcGIS Pro will eventually replace ArcMap. We will continue to support and maintain ArcMap. However, our focus is on making ArcGIS Pro the world’s best desktop GIS. There are still some capabilities of ArcMap that are not yet in ArcGIS Pro, so some ArcGIS Desktop users will be using both ArcGIS Pro and ArcMap till Pro has everything you need to fully support your work." What is the retirement schedule for ArcMap? http://www.esri.com/about/events/uc/get-involved/q-and-a#id=1586 "While Esri has moved most of its development efforts to ArcGIS Pro, we will continue to provide support and minor bug fixes in ArcMap for a long time (you can find the ArcMap Product Life Cycle on the Esri website). This means that users will be able to use legacy ArcMap applications and workflows long into the future. At the same time, all ArcMap users have the ability to use ArcGIS Pro in their desktop environment. There will be many sessions at the conference this year that show the new features and the advantages of migrating to ArcGIS Pro." The link to the Product Life Cycle is above, but here is an example: I hope that this information helps to solidify the answer, but please let us know if something remains unclear. Thank you!

Dan and Thomas Colson. I think that Offline Web Maps and Layers - View web maps and edit feature layers when disconnected (Near Term) is the answer in Pro for having the functionality for disconnected editing of services. This workflow will actually allow for multiple syncs rather than the one-time sync with the ArcMap workflow.

Mark Cederholm What about just using the Undo stack? You could keep edits, and undo and changes to the map by filtering: Filter undo and redo for editing—ArcGIS Pro | ArcGIS Desktop Would that accomplish what you're trying to do?

If you have already upgraded to ArcGIS Pro 2.0, you may have noticed that your recent projects aren't listed under 'Open a recent project'. If you haven't upgraded yet, this will be a handy piece of knowledge to get you going. There were some changes to how the user configuration (user.config) file is stored that lead to this, but don't fear, it is easy to get those to show up again. Follow the steps in this technical article: Problem: After upgrading to ArcGIS Pro 2.0, recent projects do not display under 'Open a recent project'

Yes, Bill. If you're using the Concurrent Use license model with ArcGIS Pro, once you have converted the Named User licenses to CU, the setup is the same as ArcMap. I think that what is confusing about the documentation you're referencing (which is specifically the Portal for ArcGIS doc) is that it states (bolding options!): You have the following options for licensing ArcGIS Pro: Provision named-user licenses to Portal for ArcGIS members. Provision named-user licenses to members of an ArcGIS Online organization. Implement concurrent-use licenses using License Manager Server. Use a single-use license. So we should see these options, decide we want to set up CU, click that and it should take us directly to those instructions and you'd see that there is no need to set up Portal at all. I see that the links aren't working, which adds to the confusion - I've submitted a request to fix those links. This documentation would have been more helpful: Concurrent Use licenses—ArcGIS Pro | ArcGIS Desktop We're working on a more cohesive Pro install and licensing guide that hopefully will make the process more streamlined for anyone, regardless of which direction they're coming from (Named User in ArcGIS Online, Named User in Portal, Concurrent Use, or Single Use). I'm glad you got it set up!

sarahpc It looks like this should be added in the end-of-year releases (ArcMap 10.6 and ArcGIS Pro 2.1). As always, there could be unforeseen circumstances that could push that back, but that is the current plan.
