Yes, Bill. If you're using the Concurrent Use license model with ArcGIS Pro, once you have converted the Named User licenses to CU, the setup is the same as ArcMap. I think that what is confusing about the documentation you're referencing (which is specifically the Portal for ArcGIS doc) is that it states (bolding options!): You have the following options for licensing ArcGIS Pro: Provision named-user licenses to Portal for ArcGIS members. Provision named-user licenses to members of an ArcGIS Online organization. Implement concurrent-use licenses using License Manager Server. Use a single-use license. So we should see these options, decide we want to set up CU, click that and it should take us directly to those instructions and you'd see that there is no need to set up Portal at all. I see that the links aren't working, which adds to the confusion - I've submitted a request to fix those links. This documentation would have been more helpful: Concurrent Use licenses—ArcGIS Pro | ArcGIS Desktop We're working on a more cohesive Pro install and licensing guide that hopefully will make the process more streamlined for anyone, regardless of which direction they're coming from (Named User in ArcGIS Online, Named User in Portal, Concurrent Use, or Single Use). I'm glad you got it set up!

sarahpc It looks like this should be added in the end-of-year releases (ArcMap 10.6 and ArcGIS Pro 2.1). As always, there could be unforeseen circumstances that could push that back, but that is the current plan.

Absolutely! Glad this is helpful. Just want to be clear that Ideas are only a part of what to expect with 2.0. Don't overlook the What's new in ArcGIS Pro 2.0—ArcGIS Pro | ArcGIS Desktop documentation.

With today’s release of ArcGIS Pro 2.0, it’s time for another summary of what’s happening with Ideas. 11 Desktop ideas have been moved to Implemented: Run more than one instance of ArcGIS Pro Saving Service and SDE Connection in ArcGIS Pro Grid and Graticules Rename Shapefiles (better data-management) in ArcGIS Pro (1.4) Make Enterprise GDB Connections User-Wide for ArcGIS Pro Using a Web Feature Service (WFS) without converting it to a feature layer (ArcGIS Pro) ArcGIS Pro: Rearrange Fields in Field View Exporting Data from Project View in ArcGIS Pro Native/Direct WFS Support in ArcGIS Pro ArcGIS Pro - Extract Data tool - polygon input as in ArcMap ArcGIS Pro: Allow connection to .sde files in folders 2 Desktop ideas have been moved to In Product Plan: Drag & Drop Data into ArcGIS Pro Add full OGC WFS support in next version of ArcGIS Desktop (no extension use) 2 Desktop ideas have been moved to Under Consideration: Add an autosave feature for ArcGIS Desktop. Add Direction to the Measure Tool While ideas marked as Implemented are great things to know about in ArcGIS Pro 2.0, don't overlook the What's new in ArcGIS Pro 2.0—ArcGIS Pro | ArcGIS Desktop documentation for a complete picture of what's new in this version. As always, I hope that sharing these updates is insightful. I wanted to thank you for participating in the process and let you know that we’re listening!

WFS support was added at ArcGIS Pro 2.0. Use WFS services layers—Services | ArcGIS Desktop Notice that there are some limitations and WFS with transactions is not yet supported. The layer behaves as a read-only data source. Therefore, this idea has been promoted to In Product Plan as full functionality including editing will come at a future release.

Mark Volz Check out Favorites with Pro 2.0 releases next week. I think that it will help with the issues managing connections you mention in the original idea. A query layer is not the same as a database connection. See Create a query layer—Query layers | ArcGIS Desktop You use the Add Data button on the Map ribbon to create query layers. Before you can create a query layer, you must first make a connection to the database. So now, it seems like the idea boils down to wanting the drive letter to come before the path, correct? After you've had time to work with and understand Favorites in Pro 2.0, if you agree, then I'd recommend changing the idea title and updating the description to describe the change in drive letter position that would make adding data a better experience. Thank you!

Thanks all for responding to help hafidloa As rleclair-esristaff correctly pointed out, a bug was logged with support and testing indicates that the crash doesn't occur with Pro 2.0 which is coming very soon. Look for 2.0 and as always stay on the most up-to-date release.

Sounds good jay.gregory Just to cover all bases, I set up a Windows 7 SP1 machine with .NET 4.6.1, installed Pro 1.4 and everything opened fine. I then installed .NET 4.7 and everything is fine. Then I installed the latest build of Pro 2.0. Everything is looking good. Seems like it has to do with the touch screen issue noted above.
