Chad, do you have the Allow assignment of unique numeric IDs for sharing web layers checked on or off in Pro? How is that set in ArcMap? If necessary, would you be able to share your data for us to work with? We can do that off this thread if needed. Cheers

Hi Richard, Thank you for the details as these are super helpful in understanding the workflow. If I have an accident table and I create an accident Events layer based on a routeID (ROUTE1 field), the Related Data button seems to be working as expected; i.e. it works in both directions. Note that neither layer has the 'Automatically select related data' box checked. This box corresponds to the Select related records option in the table menu: So if I select ObjectID1 in the accident table, then click the Related Data button, it selects ObjectID 1 in the accident Events table: If I clear the selections and then select ObjectID 1, 2, and 3 in the accident Events table and use the Related Data button in the ribbon, ObjectIDs 1, 2 and 3 are selected in the accident table: To me this looks like the equivalent behavior as ArcMap. Note that it is different than what will happen using the 'Automatically select related data' option as that will only select in the forward direction of the relate as described in the documentation: View related data—ArcGIS Pro | ArcGIS Desktop Important usage tips when working with automatic selection of related data A selection will only propagate in the from-to, or origin-destination, direction through a relate. Because you're on Pro 1.2, I'd recommend moving to the current version (2.0.1) and trying again. You noted that you're moving in November. Soon after that should be Pro 2.1 so try to get to the latest version as soon as possible, and then chime back in to let us know if there still isn't something working. Thank you!

Jan, it may not do exactly what is being requested in the idea, but try Ctrl + and Ctrl - while you have the Catalog pane in focus.

Jan, I just wanted to make sure that you were aware the Map can be named from the Contents pane by slow-double-clicking to enable the rename. This saves you from having to go to the Catalog pane and expand the Maps folder in order to do the rename. Same behavior for a newly added Layout.

Jan, as for the renaming part of the idea, are you not able to rename your WFS connections in the Catalog pane?

Yes, it's clear that it isn't possible, and the Idea is valid which is why it is marked as Reviewed and open to voting. The reference to the article was because it provides some explanation like "Most cached web map services such as those available from ArcGIS Online are designed for viewing on the screen" and "The basemaps are provided as services, thus such behavior is expected." Maybe it isn't necessary here, but I usually try to link to documentation, technical articles, other sites, or show screenshots that provide additional context to an idea rather than nothing.

There is a technical article about this FAQ: Is it possible to improve the resolution of a basemap from ArcGIS Online? and it links to some other articles as well.

Hi Ana Villa Please try to keep comments associated with the original idea. This idea is about right-click functionality with the specific example given as right-clicking on a field to show it's properties. For your comments about Identify tool functionality, those would be better placed in Add a Real Identify tool to the ArcGIS Pro's Inquiry Ribbon Area In ArcGIS Pro, there are options as to which layer the Explore tool will act on: Hope this helps. Thank you!

In the screenshots from yesterday there was no example for a text field. That does show the type and length along with the other properties seen above. Hope this helps.

D T To achieve what you need in ArcGIS Pro, lock the start time on the Time ribbon (though you may not necessarily need to do this if the span is not locked). Configure time slider settings—ArcGIS Pro | ArcGIS Desktop Because the start is locked data will display cumulatively during playback. Try working with the Start and Span locks to get your data to display cumulatively.

Hi D T. Thank you for submitting the idea. I just wanted to make sure that you were aware that you can click directly on the question mark in the application's upper-right hand corner to launch the Help directly - similar to ArcMap's Help > ArcGIS Desktop Help. About ArcGIS Pro Help—ArcGIS Pro | ArcGIS Desktop There are also a number of other places where help is available as described in the link above, and captured in the screenshot below: My understanding of the request here would be to have something like a Help ribbon, is that correct? It is possible to set up a simple Help tab for yourself by customizing the ribbon Customize the ribbon—ArcGIS Pro | ArcGIS Desktop You can add the Help command to your ribbon so that you end up with something like this: Clicking where I've circled will launch the help documentation in the same way that clicking on the question mark does - so it's up to you if you prefer to set up a ribbon. All of that said, I'm interested in learning more about what you'd like to/expect to see if the Help were set up in a ribbon format. You've made a good point that transitioning to ArcGIS Pro for long-time ArcMap users does require some learning. What would be most helpful to you in terms of functionality on that ribbon? How would you use it, if not just to launch the Pro help documentation?

Thanks for the additional details, Rene. For the second point about switching the map that the Map Frame is pointing to, I don't get the same behavior. For example, if the new map I'm pointing to has 2 layers, both show up in the legend once I've pointed the Map Frame to the new map. If you do come up with a reproducible case for point 3 where adding a layer to a map does not appear in the legend when the sync is set up, please get back to us so we can take a closer look. Finally, remember to up vote your idea! Cheers

tomdilts Are there other specific tools where you see this smart resampling default not working? If you could provide examples we could share those with the appropriate team. Thank you!
