Rachael Chasse I don't see that happening. I'm working in the current release (ArcGIS Pro 2.0.1) I can work in the Symbology pane (in this example, on the Structures layer): When I change the color and click Apply, the layer remains highlighted to continue working on its symbology: 1. Confirm you're working in Pro 2.0.1. 2. Do you see the behavior for every/any layer, or only a specific layer? Depending on this answer, what is different about that layer? 3. Does it happen in all Projects, or only a particular Project? I'm interested to hear more. Thanks

Hi Josh! Ordering the layout elements through the contents pane should be pretty easy. But if you're still finding this to be an issue where you'd like to see the 'send to back' etc type of functionality, you could always go to the ArcGIS Ideas site, vote and provide your comments https://community.esri.com/ideas/11349 As you start to work more in Pro, the Ideas site can be another resource to search if you feel you're missing something. Users have been posting ArcMap/Pro equivalency issues there as Ideas, so we're using that site to track demand and help prioritize development work for Pro. Hope this helps!

***This idea is being logged on behalf of a customer*** A user would like the ability to symbolize his text labels with a graduated color ramp. Currently, the only way to do this is through the use of complex label classes and expressions. User frequently uses hydrographic software that has this functionality built in natively, but would like this functionality to be available within ArcMap as well, as ArcMap is his preferred software package. The client likes to see point data plotted this way (no symbols, just depths plotted directly atop measurement points with a ramped color scale and legend) . The software used that addresses this issue is called HYPACK. Its plotting limitations are very problematic. Using ESRI parlance, there is no interaction between “data view” and “layout view”. While ESRI’s layout scales are infinitely scaleable and interactive, HYPACK’s are fixed. This results in miserable days and inefficient plot production. Here is an example of what the customer would like to see in ArcMap:

It isn't in Pro yet. There is a request that is in the development team's backlog. ENH-000109182: Distance Distance editing tool in ArcMap should be carried over to ArcGIS Pro. Edit: I was a bit rushed in my initial response. jbear725, I just wanted to clarify that the functionality wasn't removed. It just hasn't been built into Pro yet. It is on the editing team's list. Thanks for the patience.

Thomas, because in Pro info is provided for each parameter, when using the tab key, it correctly goes to that info option before moving to the next parameter. I believe this is an accessibility issue meaning that it's highly unlikely we'll change that behavior. Drew Flater

I don't think that is what japete02 is getting at. That only exposes the non-SHAPE fields in the field picker. So SHAPE_Area in your screenshot is an actual field, correct? As would be SHAPE_Length. They really want to get at the geometry field so they can pull the Xmax, Xmin, Ymax and Ymin coordinates and do some stuff. I don't *think* that is possible. But you can access those geometry properties in the field calculator through Python so with a little bit of pre-setup do what I proposed above. Maybe that will work for the user?

Couldn't you do this by adding a YDIF field and calculating to !Shape.extent.Ymax! - !Shape.extent.Ymin! and an XDIF field calculated to !Shape.extent.Xmax! - !Shape.extent.Xmin! and run the def query on YDIF > XDIF?

In addition to what Jayanta Poddar posted, I'd also recommend going to ArcGIS Pro split polyline by length It looks like while there is Split editing tool in Pro, it doesn't yet include all methods available in ArcMap: Methods for splitting line features—Help | ArcGIS Desktop

Make Layer From Selected Features is included in the release of ArcGIS Pro 2.1. Look for that release in January 2018.

Can you provide some more details around where you're looking for the described functionality? When editing annotation, in the Attribute Pane, I can use the dropdown to change Status from Placed to Unplaced and back again.

Marcel, what version are you working with? In ArcGIS Pro 2.0, when working with annotation symbology, there is a check box to Draw unplaced annotation. Is that the "show/hide" functionality you're requesting?
