In response to David James‌ original reference to BUG-000113996: Firstly, I’d like to apologize to anybody who  experienced this issue.  We take data corruption issues very seriously and are pursuing a patch.  I've checked in with the teams handling this and we wanted to share some details about workflow so that it can be avoided between now and the time that the patch is available.     What will cause ArcGIS 10.6 to delete data from C drive? If you run Zonal Statistics multiple times in sequence or in a loop, and then run any one of the following tools that supports parallel processing such as: Cost Allocation, Cost Back Link, Cost Distance, Euclidean Allocation, Euclidean Direction, Euclidean Distance, Nibble, Fill, Flow Accumulation, Flow Direction, Sink, Stream Link, and Watershed in 64bit background or in 32bit foreground with the Parallel Processing Factor environment set to zero, then the software could potentially delete data from C drive.   The problem doesn’t happen if you run Zonal Statics only once followed by any of the tools that supports parallel processing or if you run Zonal Statics multiple times followed by any of the tools that supports parallel processing in 32bit foreground with the Parallel Processing Factor environment set to greater than zero.   How to avoid the problem? If you are running Zonal Statistics multiple times, run it in a separate process from the other tools that support parallel processing such as:  Cost Allocation, Cost Back Link, Cost Distance, Euclidean Allocation, Euclidean Direction, Euclidean Distance, Nibble, Fill, Flow Accumulation, Flow Direction, Sink, Stream Link, and Watershed. Or run all the tools in the same process in 32bit foreground with the Parallel Processing Factor environment set to greater than zero. To provide a response to Thomas Colson‌'s question about affected versions:  Versions that we need to patch:  (the fix is already installed in 10.6.1 and 2.2) 10.6 Data deletion does occur. 10.5.1 Data deletion does not occur, but the long path name is being generated which adversely affects the raster disc cache which results in failure to run raster analytic tools and/or creation of cloud based image services. 10.5 Data deletion does not occur, but the long path name is being generated which adversely affects the raster disc cache which results in failure to run raster analytic tools and/or creation of cloud based image services. Pro 2.1 Data deletion does not occur, but the long path name is being generated which adversely affects the raster disc cache which results in failure to run raster analytic tools and/or creation of cloud based image services.   At 2.1, with parallel processing factor set to zero and running Zonal Stats many times followed by one of the tools in the list cited above, Pro will try to create temp directories at the root level of some drive, which may fail due to lack of permission. If the temp directories are created, there may be times when Pro does not remove one or more of them.   Versions that we do not need to Patch: Pro 2.2 -> fix is already installed 10.6.1 -> fix is already installed 10.4 - > problem does not exist   Status: We are currently testing the patches on these environments as we speak.  We will keep you updated with the progress. Very interesting analysis, Tom   I skimmed through and I think that somewhere in there you mentioned that ideas with more votes are more often implemented.  Yeah, that can happen.  Sometimes for an idea to get a lot of votes though means sitting around for a long time.  And that isn't really ideal.  So sometimes you'll actually see an idea implemented with 1 vote.  And in Pro 2.2 I think we'll see something implemented that actually doesn't have any votes!  Interesting. Well, I know that you're personally vested in seeing this idea implemented.  And we know that because we've spoken with you personally both from the Pro side as well as from the Enterprise side, just as we've been speaking with many customers interested in this same functionality.  We're listening, there are a lot of Esri eyes on this idea.  Its unfortunate that this didn't get the Reviewed status when it was submitted, but from an "action item" standpoint, whether an idea is New or Reviewed doesn't really affect our tracking of it.  While the total score is a consideration, we also keep a close eye on how quickly support for an idea is growing.  So we look at which ideas have grown most in the last month as well as over a year.  And to speak to your comments about number of Views and Comments, we also look at that.   Anyway, just wanted to assure you and others who are tracking the idea, and who may also be formulating interesting analogies to the Idea scoring system, that it hasn't gone stealth under our radar.  It happens to be a very big blip smack dab on the radar screen... ... In ArcMap when you have a map with a layer pointing to featureclass, and you rename featureclass in ArcCatalog to featureclass_OLD, what happens to the layer?  What data does the layer now point to? 2. If it is just related, you won't be able to label or symbolize on the related data.  But if you used the Make Query Table tool you should have ended up with a virtual table (a feature layer if you included the Shape field in the output) that has all the fields you need and you can use it like any other table.  We'd need to see what you have done so far and what the result was.  Screenshots will be necessary at this point. ... Amanda,  Normally, you would just right-click a command > Add to Quick Access Toolbar.   You cannot currently do this in 2.1.x for the Build Definition Query.  The ability to customize the QAT through the backstage options becomes available at 2.2 which should be out pretty soon.  So hold tight and then you'll have an interface to do this in 2.2. Amanda, commands added to the Quick Access Toolbar should persist across projects.  So if I add the Build Definition Query to my QAT, when I open a new project or even another existing project, that command is still on the QAT. If you're seeing different behavior, it would be good to log a case with technical support because this should work, meaning that when set up once, you should have quick access to the Build Definition Query command in all projects without setting it up again. Yes, the .stylx is the Pro equivalent to the ArcMap .style file.  If you already have the .stylx, just import it to your Pro project.  Add styles to a project—ArcGIS Pro | ArcGIS Desktop  You can either add symbols to your Favorites, or you can create a project template containing a connection to your custom style and whenever you want a Pro project with that style, create it from the template. If there is something about panes or tabs along with visibility of layers, etc. that are important to a workflow that you're sharing with others, consider setting up a Task for the workflow: What is a task?—ArcGIS Pro | ArcGIS Desktop  Those things can be controlled by the Task author so when a user gets to a step where you need a certain layer to be selectable (and all other not selectable) a certain tool to be activated, a specific contextual tab to be showing, etc. all of that can be set up for the person running the Task.   ... Sean, can you provide some more detail around  I want to be able to update that data source in my database  The layers in your maps are pointing to a data source.  My understanding is that you're not switching the data source of the layer, but "updating" the database table.  What do you mean by updating?  Appending data?  Truncating the table and adding all new feature?  Deleting the table completely, and adding a new table called the same thing?
