Hey Parcel Editors! Here's the final of our 3 encores of the Parcel Fabric technical workshops that we did at this years User Conference. We finish it off talking about Quality Driven Workflows. I hope you enjoy and thank you all again for attending Description from the MeetUp Page: Are you looking to manage data quality in your ArcGIS Pro parcel fabric? Discover how to use attribute and topology rules to evaluate data quality in your parcel fabric and meet data quality requirements for your organization. This presentation includes common quality-driven workflows for fixing topological errors, geometry errors, and attribute errors. Also, learn about least-squares adjustment to detect outliers in measurements and to evaluate and improve your spatial accuracy.

Hello Parcel Editors! Here's another one of our technical workshops we did at this years User Conference with some added discussion and more in depth exploration of migrating and administrating parcels in the Parcel Fabric for ArcGIS Pro. Enjoy! From the MeetUp Description: Interested in the parcel fabric information model and how it can be extended? Join us to learn about both data migration from simple feature classes and the upgrade process from the parcel fabric for ArcMap. Then, discover how to configure the parcel fabric in your organization, including single user and enterprise deployments, editing map configurations, tasks for parcel workflows, topology rules, and attribute rules, and learn how to put your properly configured parcel fabric to use publishing maps for viewing and multiuser editing.

@CathyAppleton Thanks, I'm thinking you might need to upgrade your enterprise. As this was a new tool that was released at 3.3 and the functionality on the server side became available at server 11.3. If you hover over the greyed out box does it say something like this? Hopefully this solves the problem

Hello Cathy, This "Split Parcel Lines" is an option available for Parcel Fabrics and is accessible only when an there is an active record. Here is the documentation for Dividing a Parcel in the parcel fabric: https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/help/data/parcel-editing/divideparcelworkflow.htm This option is available at 3.5 and it was first released in ArcGIS Pro 3.3. I've also noticed you say the tool is greyed out. Are you using the Parcel Fabric? Do you have an active record?

Hello Parcel Editors! Here's the recording of today's MeetUp. In this video we performed our Technical Workshop that we presented during the User Conference with added content and material that we didn't have time for in San Diego. I hope you all found this informative and learned something new about the parcel fabric! Description from MeetUp site: Join us to learn common record-driven workflows for managing the parcel fabric in ArcGIS Pro. This presentation covers parcel creation (including from CAD files), editing and lineage management, merging, splitting, and boundary line adjustment. Learn how to edit using COGO (coordinate geometry) measurements from legal descriptions. Speakers also touch on advanced capabilities such as workflow automation, 3D cadastre, and coordinate-based cadastre.

Hey Ruth, that's a good enhancement idea. We will take that under consideration. In the meantime a workaround is that you can take a screen shot of he page and just use MSPaint or other software to rotate the images and put them together in a large image and load that.

Hello Everyone! Here's the recording from this weeks MeetUp. Thank you again for all who attended. Sorry for a few technical issues at start that may have prevented some people from joining initially. The ArcGIS Parcel Fabric serves as a robust framework designed for the efficient management, editing, and seamless sharing of parcel data. Built upon simple feature classes accessible through web services in a collaborative multi-user environment, it offers a comprehensive solution for parcel data management. During the upcoming meet-up, members from the ArcGIS for AutoCAD team will present an insightful overview of the ArcGIS for AutoCAD solution. They will delve into how this solution can be effectively utilized to integrate and foster collaboration with the parcel fabric, enhancing workflow efficiency and data interoperability.

Hey @LearnThenShare The Floor Order field is simply a LONG field nothing else special. It does not need to be set up as a required field and it can accept NULL values. The only behaviors that happen when the Floor Order field is created on both lines and polygons is that when running the Duplicate Parcels tool and using the Floor Order field as the Update Field, the lines will be duplicated for each iteration. The behavior for Duplicate Parcels when using any other field the lines will not be duplicated, only the polygon. So to answer your questions individually: 1. The field can be empty (null) and back-filled 2. The 3D visualization is up to you how NULL Floor Order values are presented. You can set up the extrusion method however you please. 3. Long does not have to have a DEFAULT value. It can be null. You can set up a default value if you like meaning that all parcel polys and/or lines can always default to 0. But that is not required. 4. We cover strata parcels in this MeetUp briefly: https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-parcel-fabric-videos/meetup-introduction-to-record-driven-workflows/m-p/1322272#M139 You can also find more info here: https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/help/data/parcel-editing/createstrataparcels.htm

This will not require a version upgrade of the fabric. It will be an opt in per parcel type and existing users will have a way to modify their fields of an existing parcel type to take advantage of this behavior. We are actively working on this enhancement at the moment.

We do not recommend deleting historic data you can utilize the gaps and overlaps tools currently to find where current parcels overlap with one another. However, we are working on a new enhancement that will allow for subtypes to be utilized with historic parcels. This way you can apply topology rules between subtypes which will make what your describing more manageable.

Hey everyone, thanks for joining our meetup! Due to a recording problem we had re-record the meetup, so those who attended feel free to watch again as there might be something new! It's remarkable that the ArcGIS Parcel Fabric capabilities have been available since July 2019, marking six years of advancement. Over this period, numerous valuable lessons have been gleaned from various implementations. Often, when encountering a blue spinning wheel, the issue may not necessarily lie with your server but could be related to the labeling in your map. In this meet-up, we delve into the insights gathered from our community regarding the implementation of the ArcGIS Parcel Fabric. The discussion will encompass topics such as architecture, information model, map configuration, tuning and more. You can find the slides with links to the help documentation attached to this post

Hey @Heather_Campbell That's odd, I'm not seeing that on my end. When you created templates and symbology, did you have features in the map for all the types? I've seen issues where things get skewed if those features don't exist in the map. After I create the seed symbology the Templates all look good... Maybe if you want to record your process and send me a video either on here or via email I could take a look. Thanks, Jason

The system start and end date were removed as they were not accurately reflecting when a parcel was retired in the legal sense and are no longer used in the ArcGIS Pro fabric. And you are correct in regards of why retired parcels were associated to {DDDD....DDDD} globalID. That is because in ArcMap there was no reliable way to determine which plan retired parcels. There for a place holder was used to retire all the historic parcels. If you want to maintain the system start / end dates you can do what you suggested by copying the values over to another field. Then it will be treated as an extended attribute and be copied over.
