Xuewen: Thank you for your attention to my question. Maybe it is my computer operating system combined with graphics card and driver. I have two tower computers (Dell Optiplex 9020 Windows 7 and Dell Precision 5820 Windows 10) on which my AE 1.9 experience is choppy and two computers that behave as expected (Microsoft Surface Pro 2 Windows 10 and Dell Latitude E7470 Windows 10. Either way, no need for you to attend to this question any further. Thank you for your time. Sincerely, Joe Here are the specs on the two tower computers: DELL OPTIPLEX 9020 DELL PRECISION 5820

I recently upgraded ArcGIS Earth from 1.8 to 1.9. Using the mouse wheel to zoom in and out on the map was very smooth in version 1.8. Now, in AE 1.9, the mouse wheel zoom experience is stepped and choppy. I have installed AE 1.9 on two computers that have different graphics capabilities and I experience this behavior on both machines. Is there a setting in AE that I am missing to get the smooth zoom behavior I had with v1.8, or is this the new expected user experience? Thank you, Joe

Luke: We are accomplishing this task by using the "Generate Attachment Match Table (Data Management)" and "Add Attachments (Data Management)" tools in ArcGIS.

Anna: Not sure if this is what you are looking for... Do you have an Enterprise License Agreement with Esri? If you do, check section 5.4. 5.4 Esri International User Conference Registration. Esri shall provide Esri International User Conference registrations to Company annually during the term of this ELA in the quantities set forth in Appendix B. Company is responsible for distributing the registrations to Licensees. Third parties may not represent or attend on behalf of Company or Affiliates at any Esri International User Conference.

Andy: I don't know what your script looks like, but I used this line of code in a python script to keep attachments in an ArcGIS Online hosted feature service from being downloaded to my local database. arcpy.env.maintainAttachments = False

To add to Peter's request/idea: We manage our ArcGIS Pro licenses via ArcGIS Online and named users. There is an option to view “License Activity” for ArcGIS Pro, but there is no option to export to a CSV or MS-Excel file. Please add functionality in the ArcGIS Online Admin dashboard to export ArcGIS Pro and extension licenses activity reports. Thank you

Thank you Thomas and Dan. I copied/pasted my data into a new sheet within the Excel 2016 workbook, pasting "values" only into the new sheet. I saved the workbook and tried again in ArcGIS Pro. This time the XY Table to Point tool worked as expected! Thanks again for your time to respond to my posting.

One step forward, one step back. I so want to migrate to ArcGIS Pro, but little things like this keep me in ArcMap. I have a table in a Microsoft Excel 2016 spreadsheet with attribute information plus latitude and longitude fields. I want to add the data to my ArcGIS Pro map and, optionally, create a new point feature class from the table. In ArcMap 10.5.1, the Add XY Data dialog window gives you drop-downs for choosing the X and Y fields from the Excel 2016 spreadsheet (*.xlsx file format). Everything works as expected. In the ArcGIS Pro XY Table to Point tool, there are no drop-downs for choosing the X and Y fields from the spreadsheet and the tool automatically creates a feature class in your default FGDB! I manually type in my Lat/Lon field names, and it apparently does not like the spreadsheet field names I am using? Oh, no, that’s not the problem! << Excel Spreadsheet fields If I add the Excel table to my ArcPro map’s TOC and open the table to view it, first off, I see that my field names are not being recognized. I see Field1, Field2, etc. with my field names in the next row down. Secondly, I see that my Lat/Lon fields are being recognized as “Text” fields, even though I purposely made them Number fields in the Excel spreadsheet. From Esri: “ArcGIS Pro supports XLSX files (Excel 2007) and XLS files (Excel 2003 and earlier).” Source: https://community.esri.com/groups/esri-training/blog/2017/05/26/working-with-excel-data-in-arcgis-pro Export the Excel spreadsheet to a an earlier version of Excel or to a CSV file and everything works!! CSV File in Pro Now the XY Table to Point tool shows drop-downs for my table fields and it automatically recognized Longitude and Latitude as my coordinate fields. I can use an Excel 2016 spreadsheet in ArcMap 10.5.1, but I can't use it in ArcGIS Pro 2.3. It is sad to me that this wildly popular workflow is not functional, yet, in ArcGIS Pro.

Ian: Thank you for the input. I found that making a Group Member a Group Manager helped solve a long standing issue we have had. However, it would still be nice if we could allow Level 2 Contributors and Level 1 Viewers to co-exist in the same Group.

It should be possible to assign more than one Owner to a Group in ArcGIS Online (AGOL). Scenario: I am the owner of a group into which a map and related data are shared. I need one Level 2 co-worker to then update the map, but the other Level 1 members of the group should not be able to modify the map. AGOL Administrators are allowed to create a group and give members of that group “update” privileges, but then I cannot add Level 1 members to that group. Yes, I could create a second Group for Level 1 users, but then my world has gotten so much more complicated. Thank you, Joe

How will Windows Virtual Desktop (WVD) in Azure, reportedly due out in Q1 of 2019, impact plans regarding choices for the virtualization of ArcGIS Desktop and ArcGIS Pro in the cloud? According to this article, WVD will be a better Windows 10 desktop choice than Windows 10 in an “Amazon Workspace.” What other considerations should be factored into one’s decisions regarding this effort? Would ArcGIS in WVD require the Teradici Cloud Access software or some other client/cloud technology (Citrix)? Thank you for your time and attention to my questions. Joe @John Mesa @Ryan Danzey

Randall: You state in your article: “…but tutorials on how to do this can be found in our documentation within the section titled 'Register ArcGIS Online as the trusted service provider'.” Yet, when I visit the linked website, there is no section titled 'Register ArcGIS Online as the trusted service provider.’ Also, to be clear, if I download a service provider metadata file today, it is the updated file metadata file? If yes, when do I install it on my end? Now or wait until November 13 th ? I would like to be clear on the timing of when to implement this new metadata file. Thank you, Joe
