Efa: A similar incident happened to us this week. I am the Admin of our AGOL subscription. I keep the ArcGIS Pro offline license borrowing disabled for our organization. A colleague needed to go offline with Pro, so I enabled borrowing for 10 minutes while she checked out a license and then disable offline, once again. That seemed to work, at first. Then she was unable to open ArcGIS Pro, at all. She got this message when attempting to open Pro. We ended up contacting Esri Support to have that Pro license reset. I’m not sure if I short-circuited something by allowing the license to be taken offline and then disabling that access in the AGOL admin dashboard or not. I am uncertain how an AGOL administrator can keep the licenses locked down, that is, not available for Offline check-out as a standard practice for the organization, yet allow the occasional user to grab a license for a short time and then return it. It would be very nice if the Offline licensing allowed the administrator to set a time-out duration, so that the license would be automatically checked back in and the license on the user-end would stop working. Ben: Thank you for your Reply. It sounds as though you had a tougher time doing updates then, than I am, currently. I guess I can live with the 4-6 week deployment workflow that we currently have. Staff get really excited about the new functionality that arrive with a full release, but we tend to wait the extra 4-6 weeks for Esri to put out the 2.x.1 version. Thank you for your time and input. Over the past two calendar years (2018 & 2019), ArcGIS Pro has been updated five and eight times per year, respectively. Our company has disabled automatic updates (“Checking for updates is blocked”). We must go through an arduous process of having the IT department build a “deployment package” that is pushed out to GIS computers via Microsoft SCCM. Since this process takes so much effort, we update Pro only twice per year. ArcGIS Pro’s Automatic Updates mechanism is likely disabled due to our corporate policy allowing software installs only from either the local C:\Temp folder, from a network drive or from an SCCM push. Of course, Admin creds are required for any stand-alone install of software. Does anyone have any experiences or suggestions regarding how a large organization updates ArcGIS Pro on a regular basis more elegantly or easily? For instance, is it possible to have “Check for Updates” enabled, but have the software bits download and unpack in a prescribed place like a C:\Temp folder? Thank you.

Well, that's a bummer! Thank you for confirming your suspicions. Charging 2.5 credits per report export, which equates to 25 cents per report, reminds me of the days when color copiers first came out and we were charged 10 cents per page to print. Quite expensive. OK, I'll look into Plan B; Robert and Doug's use of ArcGIS Pro and maybe ReportLab - Ugh

Thanks to all of you for sharing you experiences and suggestions. I am intrigued by the Integromat workflow and will study the blog postings authored by the Survey123 team to see if this could work for us. https://community.esri.com/groups/survey123/blog/2019/06/02/getting-started-with-survey123-and-integromat https://community.esri.com/groups/survey123/blog/2019/06/04/survey123-tricks-of-the-trade-integromat

We love the power and functionality of Esri's Survey123 for ArcGIS, but we simply cannot afford the 2.5 credits per report output. Has anyone discovered an alternative reporting system? Joe

Mike: Thank you for taking the time to answer my question. I ended up rebuilding my survey form from scratch. To minimize the necessity of re-typing everything and to stay away from copying links from one xlsx sheet to my new form, I copied cell values from the old xlsx form into Notepad and then from Notepad into the new xlsx form. It worked well and I was done in about 30 minutes. Thanks again! Joe

Mike: I have the same warning pop-up issue with a survey XLSForm that is not the “Elections Wait Times” survey. Are you able to share with the GeoNet Community how you “removed the external links” from survey spreadsheet to fix this problem? Thank you

I am wondering how I might get in touch with the owner of a wonderfully authored ArcGIS Online StoryMap (see the link, below) that was built for the 2019 “Doors Open Minneapolis” event. The 2019 StoryMap includes no author attribution and the Doors Open Minneapolis coordinators would love to get in touch with the author to gauge their interest in working together to produce a revised StoryMap for the 2020 Doors Open Minneapolis event. https://www.arcgis.com/apps/Shortlist/index.html?appid=3dcda7effb784db8947effbb4d668e28 Thank you, Joe

Yes please!! I have a Recycle Bin in Microsoft's OneDrive and Google's Google Drive. This seems like it should be feasible in ArcGIS Online. Microsoft's OneDrive Recycle Bin Policy: "If you're signed into OneDrive with a Microsoft account, items in the recycle bin are automatically deleted 30 days after they're put there. If your recycle bin is full, the oldest items will be automatically deleted after three days."
