Joshua: Thank you for your responses. I added a folder full of *.sde connection files to my ArcGIS Pro map project, but nothing happens when I double-click on the DB connection or right-click on the connection. Am I missing a step here?

It appears that, currently, for a file geodatabase with established domains published to AGOL as a "hosted feature service" will not respect the domains due to a bug. From Mike Minami: "This is a bug that is on track to be fixed in the Nov/Dec time frame. Publishing from Desktop is the way to go until the fix goes out." https://community.esri.com/message/393360#393360

Is this an ArcGIS Explorer for Desktop question? An nmf file is an AGX map file. An AGX content file has an nmc file extension. Place your shapefile in your AGX map. Zoom to the extent of the features in the shapefile. Click on the shapefile layer in the table-of-contents. Click on the Tools tab. Click on the Spatial Query tool. Choose the Draw a rectangle on the map button. Draw a rectangle that encompasses all the features of your shapefile. Click the Query button in the Spatial Query dialog window. The query completes and the Add to Map button comes alive. Click on the Add to Map button. You should now see a Map Notes folder that contains all the features with attributes from your shapefile. Right-click on the Map Notes folder and choose the Share button. Share your map notes as a Map Content file (*.nmc) or - Save the map (*.nmc) with the map notes folder and share the map.

Is there no option to use Custom Layout Templates in ArcGIS Pro? We have put a lot of time into designing custom MXD templates and it seems that they are not accessible in ArcGIS Pro.

Does ArcGIS Pro have an ArcCatalog-like function for Folders, Databases and GIS Server Connections that I am missing? I open an ArcGIS Pro map and see the “Project” window with Folders and Databases and Toolboxes, etc. for that particular map project. But, if I want to connect to an enterprise geodatabase, I must use >Insert >Connections to add a SQL database connection and that database connection does not persist to my next map project. So I need to re-connect to my enterprise geodatabases everytime I make a new map? Also, it appears that ArcGIS Pro does not recognize and use existing *.sde and *.ags connection files. Is this true? OK, then I will open ArcCatalog stand-alone beside ArcGIS Pro and bring data into my Pro map that way. Nope – one cannot drag & drop any kind of featureclass, shapefile or ArcGIS Server services from ArcCatalog into any place in an ArcGIS Pro map. Really? If I am wrong about this functionality, I would certainly welcome any guidance or direction. Thank you.

You can guide users directly to your map with a URL or they can sign into AGOL and see it in a Group (of which they are a member) where you have "Shared" the Web AppBuilder map application. No "registration" of anything is necessary.

Another Observation: Snapping during an Edit Session (hold down the Ctrl key) in a Web AppBuilder map or an AGOL map viewer map is not respected in IE 11, but it is in Chrome and Firefox.

I have an ArcGIS for Server feature service with points, polylines and polygons in my Web AppBuilder map application. With the Edit Tool, I can split and union my polygons. With the Edit Tool, I can split polylines, but the Union tool does not seem to work on polylines. Should the Union tool work to merge two polylines into one like I can with Union on polygons? The polylines have been "snapped" so their ends are touching. Thank you.

Here is how you get to the Web AppBuilder in AGOL. Create apps from maps—Help | ArcGIS Once you have created a map application from WAB, you can share the URL with end-users. They need to be a Member of the group with which you have shared the WAB map.

I have a map service published on ArcGIS for Server 10.2.2. The map service is intended to be used in ArcMap. Is there a setting for preventing ArcMap end-users from right-clicking on the map service in the table-of-contents, choosing "Create Layer Package" and downloading the data? I would like to prohibit end-users from being able to download the map service data from within ArcMap. Changing the map service options under >Capabilities >Mapping >Operations Allowed are not prohibiting data downloading. Thank you

Kyle: I'm not a Javascript guy, but publishing your table in one service and then using Javascript API code in each client web map to query only the data from the table you want to display. One service would be easy on your ArcGIS Server and easy to maintain. See link, below. Layer definitions on a dynamic map service | ArcGIS API for JavaScript

Updated... We are using ArcGIS for Desktop 10.2.1 and do Direct Connect to SQL Server 208 R2. We publish our maps to ArcGIS for Server 10.2.2. If your ArcMap 10.x.x can consume SDE layers and publish to Server 10.2.2, I think your good to go.
