I am trying to use Survey123 to create a form for linemen to collect phase order information for electric lines. Is it possible to select a line in a map, click a custom url to open the survey, and have the line geometry be copied into the survey? If a line can't be created in the survey, can I tell the Custom URL to create a point in the middle of the line somehow?

Unfortunately, that didn't work. 😞 I'm now wondering if I should create a new geotrace survey and collect the information about the conductor in line form rather than in point form. Can I select a line in a webmap and pull that geometry into a Survey to create a feature like I can with a point?

I'm creating a survey for an electric system to collect the phase information. I want the possible downline phasing options to filter based upon the data collected. If Three Phase is chosen, the downline possibilities can be anything from the Phasing choice list. If Two Phase is chosen, the downline possibilities can only be Two or Single phase options that include that letter. If Single Phase is chosen, that phase is the only downline possibility. Thanks, @DougBrowning ! That did the trick! It's like magic now! I copied the csv files into the media folders of all of the surveys. Updated the select_one questions to select_one_from_file, and published the survey. Then I added the Portal csv files to the Linked Content tab. I added a new name to the csv and updated the Portal version, but not any of the ones in the media folders. All of the surveys are reflecting the new addition without having to be published again. Magic! 🙂

I've got this setup for one survey - the CSV in the media folder, and then uploaded to my Portal and in the Linked Content of the survey. It appears to be working. I opened another survey that uses the same list and linked the Portal csv in the Linked Content tab. It is not pulling the data from the csv. Do all surveys have to have the same csv in the media folder and in your Portal content? I thought I could have one list and keep one list updated instead of eight. How can I link multiple surveys to the same csv in my Portal content?

I'm still having problems with this. Is there a requirement for the geodatabase version that gets implemented when sharing a service? I've got the process working on another feature layer in the same GDB. It just doesn't make any sense. Tech Support is still stumped.

We are using Enterprise 10.8.1 and (I'm assuming) the previous-generation home page editor. When I go to the Gallery and click the icon for the Story Map, it takes me directly to the beginning of the story map. Thanks for the tip about changing the dashboard to a card. I did that, and now the story map link takes the user directly to the beginning of the story and doesn't ask for additional log-in.

A colleague has created a story map and I would like it to be displayed in the carousel on our Portal home page. I've shared it to the proper Group, but when the link is clicked in the Home Page the user is taken to the Item Details page and not the Story Map. How can I get the link to go straight to the story map? Also, when I email the story map link and a user clicks on it, they are asked to sign in to out Portal (which is fine), but after signing in, another message appears saying they need to sign in. Once the user clicks ok here, they are taken to a dashboard towards the end of the story rather than the beginning of the story. How can I get the link to go straight to the beginning of the story?

I've shared it as a Hosted Feature Layer. AprilChipman_0-1661951639657.png I've read through the documentation enough now that I'm confused - does it need to be a hosted layer in Portal in order to work with Survey123?

I've got a feature class in my Enterprise GDB with 2500 records. I used it to create a survey in Survey123 Connect a couple of years ago. I've got webmaps in Collector where the pop-ups include a link to the survey and data is auto-populated in some of the fields, as well as the data point being placed in the same X,Y location. It all worked great until I had to make an update that caused me to re-share the service in ArcPro 2.9. ArcPro gave me an error that I had to enable Replica Tracking in order to continue. I did so and my service became corrupted and no longer works. I've spent 3 weeks with Esri Tech Support trying to get the process working again. I've now got the new service successfully shared and linked to my Survey123 and webmaps. But any change made or new point added via Collector or S123 does not appear in my EGDB, and vice-versa. I've got Archiving, Global IDs, Editor Tracking, No Attachments, SupportsGlobalEdits=True Does anyone have any suggestions of what to try next? Tech Support keeps having me create a new service and go through the whole process again, but it always fails in the same place.
