Hi Karen, By "password protected", is the data stored in a QR code encrypted and then requires a password input in the app to decrypt? If so, Survey123 doesn't have a capability to prompt a user to decrypt the text nor functions to automatically decrypt the text based on the answer of another field. It should successfully scan but present the encrypted text.

Hi Omur, In reviewing with our technical support, it was misdiagnosed as only affecting public users because of the permission levels the technical support people had - they were acting as administrators when duplicating and had elevated permissions. In terms of recovering, the best method for you should be: 1) enable the fields to be shown in the destination fieldworker service - this was documented in the blog post I had previously placed in this forum and must be done for the existing feature service - see Enable anonymous submittal - 03/2017 workaround - YouTube 2) have the students resubmit their surveys, by going to the sent folder, clicking on their responses, and then submit the form again

Hi Tucker, Yes, there is a change between 1.3 and 1.4 in how URL encoding is handled (we previously had a workaround implemented in Survey123) - SSuresh-esristaff or elvin, could you provide guidance on if it's easy to adjust the workaround?

1) Currently, the values that you describe must be in the XLSForm that is published as a survey; changes to the values will need the survey to update. We are looking at ways to use feature services in a manner similar to what you describe, but don't have anything concrete planned 2) The closest way to share just a portion of the survey would be to have an username question (which is automatically filled in) and a group of questions that have a relevancy to the username of the person (i.e., ${username} = 'james' ).

We will be doing a hot fix a little later this week as we get the fix completed and verified. Note that this will not recover existing data, just ensure that surveys published in the future do not experience this problem. If the surveys were collected using the mobile application, it may be possible to recover the original surveys by extracting the data from the phones.

Hi Kjell, Which components of the Data Store did you install? It sounds a bit counter-intuitive, but the check for the Data Store relies on the 3D Scene Service component (in earlier versions, checking for the hosted feature service component was problematic and there wasn't the option to install them separately).

Hi Omur, When was this survey authored? Was it authored via Survey123Connect or using the Survey123 website? The results you are seeing look like the issue that caused us to post a blog post on Friday - https://community.esri.com/groups/survey123/blog/2017/03/03/known-issue-with-public-surveys-made-via-the-website

Hi Henrique, We make a distinction between who can submit data and who can view the data. You can set who can view the data by going to the 'Collaborate' page and setting the sharing properties for the 'Analyze' action. Note that you cannot currently set that to everyone (no login required) from the Survey123 website. You can set this to everyone by logging into you account via www.arcgis.com, going to 'My Content', clicking on the 'Survey-<survey name>' folder and selecting the '_stakeholder' item. You can share the item to everyone for use in other web applications; we don't support anonymous access to the Survey123 website for viewing the Analyze or Data pages.

I've been able to workaround this by creating a note question that has a calculate statement; the calculate statement is overridden by the incoming values.
