Hi Drew Rather than set the accuracies to NULL, I would decrease their values - ie make the accuracies higher. See this excerpt from the doc below, which gives an example: If the Rigorous Sigma Zero value is significantly less than 1, the estimated a priori accuracies (or weights) may be too low, meaning that the numeric accuracy values may be too large. This also means that some or all the measurements can be given higher weights based on the statistics. For parcel data, this can often indicate that the COGO dimensions were calculated from the line shape geometry rather than entered from the original parcel record. The tool displays a warning message to indicate that the direction and distance values are unusually good for the given distance and direction accuracy values. To achieve a Rigorous Sigma Zero value closer to 1, increase the estimated accuracies (give them a higher weight) by decreasing the numeric values. For example, decrease a 30 seconds accuracy estimate for directions to 5 seconds to give it higher weight, and run the adjustment again. If the Rigorous Sigma Zero value is larger than 1, the estimated a priori accuracies (or weights) may be too high, meaning that the numeric accuracy values may be too small. To improve the result, first use the adjustment feature classes to identify and correct any measurements that are flagged as outliers. Then run the adjustment again. If there are no measurements flagged as outliers, decrease the estimated accuracies (increase the numeric values). For example, increase a 0.59-foot estimate for distances to 0.8 feet. Christine

Hi Phil Yes there are tools you can use to reconstruct parcels from updated linework. But this might result in misalignments with adjacent parcels that you will then need to fix. So you will have to decide what is going to be quicker - reconstructing parcels or COGOing them all in from scratch. The tools you would use to recontruct parcels would be the Shrink To Seeds tool and the Reconstruct from Seeds tool: https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/help/data/parcel-editing/modifyparcellines.htm Regards Christine

Hi In the Pro parcel fabric I would first create a parcel fabric point with the coordinated position. Then I would traverse in the new lines, starting from the point you just added. You can create many traverses sequentially to traverse in parcel line loops. Once you have created the line loops, you would then build parcels from the lines. You dont necessary have to use the parcel traverse, you could also use the 2Point line tool to create lines with dimensions - there are several ways in pro to COGO in lines with dimensions. This workflow below shows how to build a parcel from a traverse: https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/help/data/parcel-editing/createnewparcel.htm This help topic is about building parcels from lines in the parcel fabric: https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/help/data/parcel-editing/createaddlines.htm If you have points with known coordinates - you can run a least-squares adjustment after building parcels to evaluate and improve the spatial accruacy of all the parcel corner points. https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/help/data/parcel-editing/runleastsquaresadjustment.htm I hope this helps Christine

Hi Robert Now that I have embedded the traverse tool in the Tasks pane, I see the problem - the New button is not there (it has been replaced by the Next Step button). I will log the issue. The workaround is to not embed the Traverse tool or use 2 steps, each with a different layer preset to create parcels with a connection line. The first step that creates the connection line traverse, should be optional so it can be skipped. Christine

Hi Robert In 3.0, we are doing things slightly differently. Please see this help link for creating a traverse that starts with a connection line: https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/help/data/parcel-editing/createnewparceltraverse.htm#ESRI_SECTION1_74B4A0CF8F874DC5A3D69707DAC335C4 Christine

Hi I tested this out with a subtype on the 3.0 install (no patches) and I couldnt reproduce the problem. I thought the issue may be the subtype. One question - can you create connection lines using the Create pane and a feature template - and do you see this warning? This may be causing your issue... Christine

Hi - has the connection lines feature class been renamed - or is it just the layer thats been renamed? I wonder if that is causing that error...

Hi please see this help link on creating a parcel traverse with a connection line. Connection lines are now handled slightly differently in 3.0 https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/help/data/parcel-editing/createnewparceltraverse.htm#ESRI_SECTION1_74B4A0CF8F874DC5A3D69707DAC335C4 Regards Christine

Hi Andrew These feature classes are created when doing an alignment using the Align Parcels tool. They are safe to delete or merge - unless for some reason you want to keep them. Christine

Heres the help link for creating a new parcel using a parcel traverse (3.0) https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/help/data/parcel-editing/createnewparceltraverse.htm Note the workflow for releases prior to 3.0 is slightly different: The connection lines are part of the traverse. In 3.0 they are added as separate traverses.

Amir is right - I modified my answer, its the lpolygons that dont participate in the topology. I would first try the Must not overlap rule in the topology and see if that can identify the overlapping lines. As for Select by location, there are a few options that might work and you would have to test them each out individually to see which one gives the best selection.

Hi - if a parcel type is created with administrative boundaries checked on, the parcel type polygons will not participate in a topology. As for identifying overlapping lines, I would either try a topology rule or use a spatial query (Select By Location). You can add additional topology rules to the parcel fabric topology, so you could add a Must not overlap rule for your parcel type lines. I would also see if any of the Select by Location options work for selecting overlapping lines.

Hi in 2.9, the parcel fabric has configured data quality layers you can use - and one of these layers show lines that have many vertices. See below the help topic below https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/help/data/parcel-editing/parcelfabricdataqualitylayers.htm#ESRI_SECTION1_8223936434F64B49B6B118309D446479 hope this helps Christine
