Jody, When you say it's not working for you; does this mean the layer doesn't appear in the dropdown on the Advanced tab or that the field isn't populated when you launch Collector? Do you know if the layer is using http or https? Craig

Hi Mike, Couple thoughts on this: Some ideas I have are that every dispatcher could also be a worker. But that would require every dispatcher to install the worker app on their phone which they probably won't do. I don't recommend this as a workflow; for the reason you mention but also because you'd now have all these extra workers that could be accidentally assigned work. Second idea would be that a dispatcher could complete an assignment they created. They can already cancel an assignment so it would seem that it would be possible for WF developers to add this option. This is something we're considering. Should all of the Dispatchers in your organization be able to mark assignments as Completed in the web app? Or, should only certain Dispatchers have this ability? If the Project Owner had the ability to mark assignments as Completed, would this work for your scenario? My third idea would be to create separate web map or survey123 form the dispatcher can use to manually edit the HFS and complete the ticket. This is the most do-able thing I can do now although needing to introduce a separate app to a workflow is not ideal. Even if we added the before mentioned ability, that would not be available for several months at the earliest. I do recommend the workflow you mention and would suggest that creating a web app to handle this is the way to go. I know of several other users who are using this workflow and it works well for them. From your description; this is not something that Dispatchers need to do often and you can use Web App Builder to create a focused web app for this. If you go this route; you need to consult the Workforce Schema doc and ensure you are setting all the correct values for Completing an assignment: Workforce schema—Workforce for ArcGIS | ArcGIS Craig

Hello April, For Workforce, if you remove the user, none of the assignments created or edited by the user will be removed. If you do not remove the user from the Workforce Project prior to removing them from the Organization, you'll be notified of this when you next open the Workforce Project (This is how Workforce in Online works and Workforce, 18.0.1 on Enterprise works) Craig

Hi Michelle, This is in our backlog and on our roadmap. Unfortunately, we were not able to get to it in 2017 but I'm hoping we can target a release in 2018 for it. Can you provide any details or use cases on why this ability is needed? I know that controlling the visibility of layers is a common task in mobile apps; but one thing we've found with Workforce is that, since the Workforce Projects are geared towards specific types of work, the need to control the visibility of layers is not as much a priority as other apps. Unfortunately, no - we didn't release a version of Workforce with the 1.5 version number. We updated Workforce for Enterprise (this is our 17.0.1 release) at the end of November. We addressed the issue of the Users tab crashing in this release. Let's go at this a different way - can you use Developer Tools in Chrome to capture a HAR file? We need the log for when you click on the Users tab to dig into the error. Craig

Jimmy, Workforce supports launching Survey123 at the Project or Assignment Type level; the doc taking you through these steps is available here: FAQs for project owners—Workforce for ArcGIS | ArcGIS Tips for project owners—Workforce for ArcGIS | ArcGIS This allows information to be passed from a Workforce Assignment to Survey123. However, it sounds like you would like link Survey123 to a specific feature in a feature layer in the Worker web map and pass information from that feature to the Survey. You mention in your first post the need to pass AssetID, are there other fields that you'd like to pass? Craig

Hi Peter, A few things will happen when the phone no longer has a network connection: - Workforce will present the Worker's last known location on the map - you're correct that it will appear like the Worker has not moved for a period of time. - Workforce will also display the last known status of the Worker; i.e. Working, Not Working, On Break and the color associated with that status. - On the Workers tab in Workforce, under the Worker, you'll see an indication of how long it's been since we last received an update from Workforce on the Worker's phone. This is to give the Dispatcher an idea if the Worker's status and location are stale; as they would be if they had lost network connection or if the phone died.
