Hi Ryan, The Location Tracking capability for ArcGIS Online is planned for release around the end of Q2 / towards the User Conference. Happy to answer any questions on it you may have - I can also point you to our Early Adopter site if you want to read the content we have for Enterprise. Craig

Andrew, Ok, sounds like what you're trying to use Workforce for is different than what I read it as from your previous posts. My understanding is the following, please let me know if I have this correct or are missing anything: You have a large service area, on the national scale The same type of work is done across service area The service area is broken out in to regions, which are used to manage workers and their work assignments. I'm assuming Dispatchers/Supervisors are also associated with those regions However, there are stackholders who need to view the work at a national scale, i.e. they need to view work across the regions. This use case is not one we target for Workforce, but sites who have tackled this (and there have not been many) create a project for each region and then pull the assignments into a single service for reporting/use in dashboard, etc. There are ways this *could* be handled but they would require edits to the Workforce projects that are not documented/nor supported. I'm happy to suggest those to you if you'd like to try them. While this isn't a use case we've targeted, it's an interesting one that we could look at in a future release of Workforce. Craig

Mele, In addition to what Aaron's outlined, I'd also suggest taking a look at the schema doc for Workforce. Automate and script Workforce—Workforce for ArcGIS | ArcGIS That would address your question on: Is the Worker ID something that we could see in the Workers data? Craig

Andrew, The workflow you're asking for; to be able to use the same Workforce assignments feature service across multiple Workforce projects, is not supported. From your other posts, I'm guessing you cannot use a single Workforce project as: - There is different types of work being done in different geographical areas - Workers should not be assigned work outside of their area and the Dispatchers cannot be relied on to make this decision Are there are other challenges you're facing on this? We have other customers who have Workforce projects with these same challenges and are successfully using the product. Happy to outline what those are and the concessions they have made for it to be successful. I agree that, Workforce does not currently handle these well, but we do have items in our backlog to tackle this, as I mentioned in another post. Craig

Becky, Thanks for replying. In your scenario, when a user starts an assignment - should it still be available to other users? Do you need a record of who took what action on an assignment; for example, which user started it? We're currently working on support Offline for Workforce Projects and that work is very much connected to a several foundational rules within the Workforce app; Workers only see assignments assigned to them. Once an assignment is started, we assume that worker is the only user changing the assignment (i.e. the Dispatcher cannot change an assignment that is In Progress). The scenario you're outlining where, any user can start/complete an assignment, will run into issues with future versions of Workforce. Your use case and requirements are valid, but I don't know if Workforce is the app to use for solving them. It might be better to take this discussion offline into email or a call to dig into this a bit more. If you'd like to do that, please send me a DM or email the [email protected] alias and we can set something up. Craig

Andrew, No, this is not supported. I'd also add that your way of doing this manually is not technically supported and will probably run into issues. What you're asking for in this post is not something that we have any plans to support. Craig

Hello Becky, Allowing multiple workers to be assigned to a single assignment is in our backlog, but is not assigned to an upcoming release. In your workflow, would each team member have their own mobile device/named user in an organization? Would multiple team members be able to "Start" and "Complete" the same assignment? What kind of status would you want to see in the Workforce back office web app for each team member? Thanks for responding on this issue. Craig

Vincent, I believe you're running into a known issue that we've seen with 10.6 Enterprise. A couple workarounds for this: - Configure your system services to have a min of 1 SOC - Try creating a second Workforce Project, which should succeed. If these don't work - I'd suggest contacting Technical Support to help you troubleshoot this issue. Craig

Email discussion with Jonathan - this is a known limit with Workforce that forced us to limit the features returned to 12. We are looking at improving this in an upcoming release during 2020.

Hi Andrew, not at this time. This ability hasn't been assigned to any of our upcoming releases. There are a number of dependencies we need address or have addresses in the platform first. Craig

Andy, we don't have any plans to support this type of workflow. However, there is a capability we're considering that could address this; it's the ability for mobile workers to see unassigned work around them and grab it or pick it up. This would be an assignment that is not assigned to anyone worker, but is available to any worker with the ability to view unassigned work. Once we finish our current release, which is focused on Offline support, we'd evaluate if this ability would get into our next release. Craig
