Hello @BrandonLongenberger1 this sounds like a similar issue reported through Support. We're working on a fix and will be deploying it this week. Craig

Is there a timeline for including Workforce in Field Maps and closing out assignments from the web app? It will be next year. I can't provide a release quarter at this time.

Hi @KaraUtter how did you perform the join? Was it in Online or Pro or somewhere else?

@OsamaOthman is correct, there is no desktop or web equivalent for the mobile app that workers can use. @rcraig_RockportMA what is it you need to perform as the worker in the web app? Is it just limited to closing out work assignments? If so, that is on our roadmap and something we plan to include when Workforce is integrated with Field Maps. Craig

Hi @KatieGaut Unfortunately no, you're a bit stuck. Few things you can do here. Clear your form (which will remove what you've done to date) and Save. You should now be able to delete the field. Add the field to the form and Save. Close Field Maps and go to the Item Details of the Feature Layer in Online. On the Data tab, find the field you want to delete and click its name in the header; you should see a dropdown with an option to delete the field. Now, when you open the form in Field Maps again; you'll be prompted with a message that a field is missing. Dismiss the message. Select the field on the canvas, and click the trash icon in the upper right to remove the field from the canvas. You should now be able to save your form. We know this is an issue and are thinking about how to solve it - it's a unique scenario; you have a required field that you need to delete and have outstanding form edits, which prevent you from deleting the field. If you have any questions, let me know. Craig

@ahargreaves_FW this is in our backlog to address but will not be part of the Summer, 2022 release later this month. It is something we're considering for the Fall release. Craig

@JustinReynolds @KatieGaut We've been working on reproducing this and tracking it down but haven't had much success. Are you able to reproduce this somewhat consistently? If so, would you be open to setting up a call where we can see what you're doing to try and narrow down the issue? thanks, Craig Gillgrass

I'd say the earliest will be Summer, 2023 and could even be Fall, 2023. This work is dependent on Workforce moving into Field Maps. Craig

@JanetSilb_Spike agree with @JustinReynolds that what your client wants to do should be possible. From you explanation above, I think the issue is that the field you want to be displayed as a Switch is missing default values for all of its feature templates. do you see this warning when you select the Form Element in the web app? Setting the default value for the field on the Templates tab should correct this. Craig

@rsun_TQB at this time, this is by design, Field Maps web app doesn't support changes to non-hosted feature layers that involve either adding new fields or updating the default value for Feature Templates. The recommended workflow would be to configure your schema; fields and default values in ArcGIS Pro (it looks like you're doing that in your first screenshot) and then use the Field Maps web app to configure the Form for us in the Field Maps mobile app. Craig

Hi Zach, they might be - can you edit the Templates in Map Viewer Classic and set Default Values there? That will tell us if this is a Field Maps specific bug or larger issue. Craig

Hi @ZachBodenner "So I guess my question is, am I missing anything? Will these capabilities be added to future enterprise portal versions? It strikes me that the Enterprise version of the Field Maps smart form is barely better than a regular pop-up-based attribute editor, while the AGOL smart form is everything I need." Yes, these capabilities will be included in future enterprise releases. This topic in our doc explains the differences between Online and Enterprise and I think will start to answer some of your questions. https://enterprise.arcgis.com/en/portal/latest/administer/windows/choosing-between-an-arcgis-online-subscription-and-portal-for-arcgis.htm "Why would ESRI release this app without something as essential to a smart form as a default value?" - To clarify this point, you can set the default value for the fields in your form, but this is controlled on the Templates tab, no the Forms tab. The Templates tab allows you to define different default values based on the type of feature or Template. Craig
