All: 1. FYI, ArcGIS Monitor 2025.1 uses the same license file as Monitor 2025.0 - there was no license file update. This issue does not relate to the Monitor license file. 2. As far as we're aware, this issue only affects customers who have a perpetual ArcGIS Enterprise license file (it does not matter which release). If you have a term ArcGIS Enterprise license file, you are not affected. 3. We've identified the issue (based on the Tech Support cases) and the team is working on a fix. We think it's just ArcGIS Monitor Agent that needs a fix. Apologies for the inconvenience on this regression. I will update this thread when I have news to share.

HI @MichelleAlley, Thanks for confirming you're working with the ArcGIS relational Data Store. One last thing to check: have you set the enablessl option to true? https://doc.arcgis.com/en/monitor/latest/get-started/windows/register-arcgis-data-store.htm (see item 2 on this prerequisites list) If yes, then please contact Esri Tech Support so they can help investigate further. Hope this helps,

@ReeseFacendini_MadCo - Thanks for opening a case with Esri Tech Support on this issue. @AdministratörHolmen - If you haven't already, can you please open a case with Esri Tech Support? We are actively investigating this issue, but we're unsure if this has to do with the permanent ArcGIS Server license file or something else.

ArcGIS Monitor provides observability by collecting metrics on the health, performance, and usage of your enterprise GIS. It is designed to help administrators and managers ensure their ArcGIS Enterprise deployments are working efficiently by reducing and preventing system downtime, resulting in operational cost savings. ArcGIS Monitor 2025.1 includes two new features to help administrators better manage their enterprise GIS deployments: Component relationship graphs - Visualize relationships and dependencies of your enterprise GIS assets Custom database query monitoring - Apply custom SQL queries to database/geodatabase components Learn more in the What's New in ArcGIS Monitor 2025.1 release blog.

Hi @N8-CORR, Can you please provide more information, What release of ArcGIS Monitor are you using? Is this a brand new installation? or an existing Monitor instance? If an existing instance, is Monitor collecting metrics for other components and you just added a new host component and it's not collecting metrics for just this host? Anything unique about this host, is it in the same domain as Monitor? or perhaps something else? -

The Esri European Developer & Technology Summit 2025 will be held in Frankfurt, Germany on Nov 18-20. This 3-day event is designed for geospatial professionals to learn about applying GIS and location technology using ArcGIS technology. Learn more about the event here. To learn more about ArcGIS Monitor, attend the technical presentation: ArcGIS Monitor: Observability in Practice Effectively managing and operating systems requires that staff and responsible teams have access to information about how the systems are running. This is referred to as the observability of a system, and well-architected systems take observability seriously. In this session, we will look at observing ArcGIS systems in practice using ArcGIS Monitor — a comprehensive tool designed to collect, analyze, and optimize the health of your enterprise GIS system and its underlying infrastructure. Come see what ArcGIS Monitor can do!

Hi @Shawn_NG25, The behavior you're seeing is expected. ArcGIS Monitor only shows "Warning" & "Severe" log messages from ArcGIS Server components. It does not sync with the ArcGIS Server component log settings. > Need to understand why there is no sync between the log levels of the Site vs the registered component in Monitor? The intent is for ArcGIS Monitor to detect and identify errors that might occur in an ArcGIS Server component, hence why it only returns "Warning" & "Severe" log messages. Typically you might have multiple ArcGIS Server components registered with Monitor and collecting more detailed log information may overwhelm Monitor with too much logging info. Hope this helps,

On Oct 15, the fourth ArcGIS Monitor User Group meeting was held. The topic was a discussion on strategies and tips & tricks for getting started with ArcGIS Monitor. Presenters from two customer organizations City of Grimes, IA and Madison County, IL shared their experiences and provided guidance on how to get started using Monitor. Attendees should have a solid foundation in ArcGIS Enterprise and some knowledge of ArcGIS Monitor. ArcGIS Monitor User Group #4: Getting started with ArcGIS Monitor Webinar attendee submitted questions & answers: Q1) Is it possible to integrate ArcGIS Monitor with Datadog? A1) There is no direct integration between ArcGIS Monitor and 3rd party IT monitoring software like Datadog. But it is possible to export the collected data from the ArcGIS Monitor database and import into Datadog, but this would be a custom solution. Q2) Does ArcGIS Monitor still use Mongo DB? A2) No, ArcGIS Monitor 202x.x uses PostgreSQL for its underlying DBMS platform for the ArcGIS Monitor database. Learn more in this help topic. Q3) How can I get an alert to close if it's resolved or isn't relevant? A3) You can update the alert’s status in ArcGIS Monitor. This does not actually 'close' the alert, but will update its metadata so admins are aware it's been looked at. Please see this blog post to learn more. Q4) Does the ArcGIS Monitor Agent have impact on system resources while it's collecting data? A4) No, ArcGIS Monitor Agent does not affect host performance. Its usage of system resources is very minimal. Q5) Do you have ArcGIS Monitor installed on its own server? If so, how did you convince your IT Dept. to do this? A5) ArcGIS Monitor should be installed on its own host. The justification for this is because it needs to be separate from the enterprise GIS assets it is monitoring and actively collecting data from. If an enterprise GIS asset becomes unavailable, then Monitor will still be up and running and can tell you when the asset went offline. Q6) Can you access server logs within ArcGIS Monitor? A6) Yes, you can access GIS Server logs in Monitor for registered ArcGIS Server components. Under the Monitoring page > select the ArcGIS Server component > Logs subtab – this is where you can view its logs. Q7) Does ArcGIS Monitor support exporting metrics to a format that could be consumed by external monitoring systems e.g. Prometheus/Grafana. Or more generally in any format at all? A7) It is possible to export the collected data from the ArcGIS Monitor database and import into a different monitoring system, but this would be a custom solution. Q8) Should we install one ArcGIS Monitor instance per environment (ex : dev, staging, prod) or install one ArcGIS Monitor to rule them all? A8) One ArcGIS Monitor instance can collect and monitor multiple ArcGIS Enterprise deployments. Monitor can be the single console to quickly view metrics for your entire Enterprise GIS. Q9) Can ArcGIS Monitor keep tabs on disk space usage on the host machines? A9) Yes, for the storage component of the selected host, storage capacity metrics are collected by Monitor. Learn more in this help topic. Q10) User statistics, who is using what services and webapps, is this possible? A10) Not yet, but this feature enhancement is part of the 2026 Dev roadmap. Q11) Just to verify, ArcGIS Monitor doesn't track stand-alone ArcGIS Servers? A11) Incorrect. ArcGIS Monitor can collect metrics from stand-alone ArcGIS Server sites. Q12) Can ArcGIS Monitor use some of the tags that are in enterprise portal to describe item types? A12) No, ArcGIS Monitor does not use tags that are defined in enterprise portal.
