Hi @IDOTAdmin, > ... still see the timeslot gap I'm sorry you're still seeing this behavior. I've only heard of this happening once before, but we were unable to reproduce this behavior. Can you please contact Esri Tech Support so they can take a closer look and try to reproduce this issue?

Hi @GrantSmith122, > I haven't considered upgrading but should maybe look into that. FYI, ArcGIS Monitor 2023.2 was retired in Dec 2024. Please see the ArcGIS Monitor product life cycle document. I recommend you upgrade Monitor. > To confirm I cannot see something's ID in 2023.2 on the Overview tab. Correct. We added this functionality in Monitor 2023.3, see the release blog (side note). > What is strange to me is that I can (possibly) see the component ID for a given item in the URL, but those ID values then don't appear in the notification setup. Perhaps when we enabled displaying the component ID on component overview pages in Monitor 2023.3, we also made it a queryable attribute field for configuring notifications? It's been over a year so I cannot recall exactly. Can you at least upgrade to the Monitor 2023.3.1 release? I know moving to Monitor 2024.x is a bigger lift because of the requirement to install AM Agents on host machines. Hope this helps,

Hi @GrantSmith122, I haven't run ArcGIS Monitor 2023.2.0 in a long time, so I don't recall the UI/UX. Can you upgrade your ArcGIS Monitor instance to v. 2024.1.1 - the latest release? Not only does it contain many new feature enhancements and bug fixes, it also displays the component ID for components on their overview tab, like this: > ... but when I go to create a Notification so I could get an email if the Alert is triggered, I have no idea what I am doing. In Monitor 2024.1.1, you can create the notification this way, Navigate to Administration > Notifications > Create Notification > type is Custom Notification Provide a name and description For Subscribe to Events, Add Event Alerts - Added For Condition Component ID is [component ID of your service] Status is Critical Then you can input the email address and optionally enable a webhook. Conceptually, you have enabled a notification to be created, whenever a new Alert with status critical is created for the service (based on the component ID). I am not 100% sure, but I believe the notification configuration experience in Monitor 2023.2.0 is similar. But as I said, it's been awhile. Hope this helps,

HI @IDOTAdmin, > ... today I noticed a gap in the analysis view. By "gaps" do you mean the "empty" timeslots, such as at 12:30 and at 1:25? So your expectation is to see some data points at these timeslots, right? This behavior is really odd. Some things to try to troubleshoot: Can you please restart your AM Agent service on the host machine; Can you please manually run the ArcGIS Server component's Metrics observer; (navigate to Monitoring page > select the ArcGIS Server component > Observers > select the Metrics observer > View observer details > Run Observer) When change the serial chart display option to line type, do the data points appear? Hope this helps,

Hi @ZahidMia, > However it is registered as Type: Database and Subtype: SQL Server, can't see any geodatabase subtype. Are you sure the SQL Server database you registered with ArcGIS Monitor is an enterprise geodatabase? This indicates that Monitor is not seeing the geodatabase repository tables that should be in the SQL Server database. > Is there any separate workflow to register the database as Geodatabase No, registering a database or enterprise geodatabase with Monitor is the same. And Monitor will detect which type it is. Please contact Esri Tech Support and ask them to help you investigate further if you're certain the SQL Server database is an enterprise geodatabase. Hope this helps,

Hi @EricJohnson-HDR, > Wondering if the Y axis "scale" can be adjusted? It is not possible to adjust the X and Y axes of serial charts in ArcGIS Monitor. Right now, the behavior of the serial chart is to autoscale value ranges based on the input data. Sorry. Please submit a feature enhancement request in the ArcGIS Monitor Ideas forum. If you want more precise control on how the data values are displayed, you could put the components into a collection, then enable their metrics as a feature layer and show the data in ArcGIS Dashboards (which offers more options for data visualization). Hope this helps,

Hi @psugamele_wt, > If detailed logs were available, it would be easier to diagnose the issue ... In the ArcGIS Monitor web app, please navigate to the Administration tab > Logs subtab. You may want to change the log settings to 'debug' or 'verbose', then attempt to register an AM Agent with AM Server. I'm unsure if you will get any helpful information, but please give it a try. > Could there be additional ports that need to be opened on the firewall or Security Group to allow proper registration? If the other 18 Windows hosts were able to register with AM Server, then I don't believe so. Hope this helps,

Hi @psugamele_wt,, Is there anything different (configuration-wise) between the 7 Windows hosts that are not registering with AM Server vs. the 18 Windows hosts that you were able to register with AM Server? In your 2nd screenshot "monitor_agent_register.jpg", the error message "Unable to connect to target server" when you try to register AM Agent with AM Server, suggests that there's a communication issue between them. Likely cause is that port 30443 is not available. However, I know in your first screenshot "test_connection_monitor_server.jpg", it suggests that port is open. Which machine did you run the test connection from? On the host machine with AM Agent, can you open a command prompt as administrator and run, telnet [monitor_server_hostname] 30443 Does it return a valid connection? or does it return a "Could not open a connection to the host" error? Hope this helps,

Hi @NicolasNi1977, > ... however, all feature services are still displaying no data. Additionally, the ArcGIS Server Observer is also not showing any data. I'm not clear on what you mean. Are you saying after upgrading to Monitor 2024.1.1, your registered feature services are no longer reporting any data? What do you mean by the "ArcGIS Server Observer is also not showing any data" - which observer? Inventory? Metrics? Can you please elaborate? - Which release of Monitor did you upgrade from? - Were metrics being reported for the feature services before the upgrade? - Is this for all registered ArcGIS Server sites with Monitor, or just some of them? - What release of ArcGIS Server is showing this behavior? - Can you provide some screenshots or error messages?

Hi @ZachBodenner, Does the SQL Server account that you're connecting to the enterprise geodatabase with, have the following: "To monitor a geodatabase, the SQL Server user account's default schema must be the same schema in which the geodatabase system tables are stored." This is in the help topic I referenced in my previous post. Hope this helps,

Hi @ZachBodenner, I've glad to hear you were able to register the database. > ... the gdb metrics (gdb_version, gdb_connections, etc) are not coming through as options when I try to set up the expressions I don't mean to state the obvious, but are you sure you registered an enterprise geodatabase (that is implemented on SQL Server) and not just a "regular" SQL Server database? The gdb_ metrics are only available for enterprise geodatabase components and not "regular" databases. Does the new different account that you used to register the database component with Monitor, does it have the correct access permissions to view the enterprise geodatabase? Hope this helps,

Hi @LouEarly, > I've attempted to unregister the agent, uninstall and reinstall with no success. To confirm that you've completely removed AM Agent from the machine, after running the uninstaller wizard, Can you please navigate to C:\Program Files\ArcGIS\Monitor in Windows Explorer and ensure the folder labeled "Agent" is completely removed? Then try to install AM Agent again. Hope this helps,
