We are running Enterprise 10.7. We are pointing the identity store to our Active Directory and adding users to portal based on AD enterprise groups. This is working but does not backwards sync, meaning if a user leaves our company, their account is not removed from Portal. Any tips or advice on handling cases like this? I'm thinking every month, I will need to somehow add any new active users and remove users no longer with the company. What would be the best way to do this? If we had an AD group with everyone in the company, I can import this group each month. Is there a way to batch remove users? Thanks

So it looks like Superion was acquired by Central Square a year or two ago. We currently push GIS Data (streets, address points, dispatch zone polygons) to our 911 Clients as shapefiles every 2 weeks. They have IT guys that load the data into their PCAD (Superion/Central Square) system. Are you saying this can be done via map service? If so, that would be awesome!

Check out the Copy Raster tool in ArcGIS Pro. You should be able to export your JPG as a GeoTiff using the tool.

None of those came up 😐 Looks like the PIW file is a Pictometry file though. Not sure how to open or use it without their software or ArcGIS extension.

I am looking to publish some updated aerial imagery to our Image Server to use in a web map. We received a .piw file from a client that they are saying is the aerial. This format is new to me and it doesnt look like esri can read this. Before I request the data in a different format, is there anything obvious I'm missing in order to bring this file into ArcGIS Pro and publish it as an image service?

It ended up being a proxy server issue on their end. They needed to do some magic to bypass the proxy server.

Not sure if this pertains here but I've seen this error with Collector if the SHAPE Fields are hidden from the attribute table when you publish.

In ArcGIS Desktop, we could connect to a GIS Server and Start/Stop/Restart services. I would like this functionality to exist in ArcGIS Pro as well. We have many users who are not quite ready for access to ArcGIS Server Manager but are still responsible for updating and maintaining services. Some examples: In order to update services coming from SDE, they need to stop the service, then make edits to the data If something isn't working right, they can start troubleshooting by restarting the service We would prefer that these users do not have access to change service configurations outside of these functions, like editing # of instances and capabilities through Server Manager. Server Manager also shows some GIS Server settings that we definitely do want accessible by the everyday GIS user.

I think Geoprocessing Service (Published from ArcMap) = Web Tool (Published from ArcGIS Pro) Did you run through this? A quick tour of publishing a geoprocessing service—ArcGIS Server | Documentation for ArcGIS Enterprise In Server Manager, make your your SDE is registered with the GIS Server too.

I am using Experience Builder on ArcGIS Enterprise 10.8.1. I'm trying to add a new map to my experience which uses 2 secured services from my 10.7.1 GIS and Image Server. I'm getting a vague 'Saving Error' message when I try to save my experience after adding the map. I have 2 services, 1 Map Image Layer and 1 Image Service coming from my 10.7.1 GIS and Image Server - both are shared to my organization. I added both services to my 10.8.1 Portal and saved credentials with the service. Then, created a map which works just fine in the map viewer. I can see both services there. In experience builder, I created a new page with a map and added the map. When I do this, I am unable to save the experience builder. Is there anything obvious I am missing or can check? The webmap works fine in the 10.8.1 Portal Map Viewer but when I try to add it to my Experience I get a 'Saving Error' message. This is what I see in DevTools in my browser: Devtools error I can try publishing the services to my 10.8.1 GIS and Image Server but would prefer not to. If anyone has any input I would appreciate it!

Thanks much! I will give the Copy tool a go then try the XML workflow if that fails. I'll get back with you in a week or two when this is done 😅

I have a large Terrain Dataset (roughly 450 GB) that I need to move from a File Geodatabase to an Enterprise Geodatabase on SQL Server. I figured I could just Copy/Paste the data to the EGDB but I'm assuming this will lock up my ArcGIS Pro session for a LONG time. Is there a preferred GP tool or way to do this that would increase my chances of this working successfully?

1 -3ft DEMs, TINs, and Contours used for civil engineering projects - mainly Hydrology and Hydraulics. The goal is to create this larger composite terrain, then create derivative products for each project for various smaller study area. Ideally we wont have to process lidar for each project, we can just create a raster or TIN or whatever using the larger Terrain Dataset. We've used LASDatasets before but the Terrain Dataset performance is better and if we need to add breaklines, or tweak elevation values the terrain dataset shines here. Our CAD guys use Microstation as well so if I send something to them, it's usually 3D contours. Been experimenting with LandXMLs too
