It doesnt happen on every service. Most work fine. Its odd. https://www.mymanatee.org/arcgis01/rest/services/queries/cipquery/MapServer/0 That is the first one i saw it on WAB built into portal 10.5.1 eSearch version "2.4.0.2", slightly modified for pathing for local hosting in portal Using the GUI, i was not even aware you could manually edit the config. I tried include all, and even just adding objectid.

Robert, Thanks for this great Widget. I think i can (almost) skipping using the query widget. It looks like i am missing one feature, unless I just cant find it We build an address search based on multiple fields, each with unique values specified. In the stock query widget you can set each expression to filter based on all other expressions. I.e. if the user selects house # 10, only street names with a 10 house number would show in the street name drop down. This is a very handy feature, is it or could it be in your widget somewhere? Thanks Jeff

I can confirm that adding the line this.config.searchOptions.sources[0].searchTemplate = "${Match_addr}"; Into the appropriate files in Portal does fix the issue

Hey Robert Scheitlin, GISP, I was wondering if i could put an enhancement request for the eSearch widget. We have one WAB app with about 60 searches (utilities). I would love to be able to group them. So a filtering select with two boxes, group and then layer So its Search Group List with (Water, Sewer, Reclaimed, etc..) Search Layers Filtered List of Searches for just the water group, etc.. for example Manatee County GIS Mobile Server Let me know please, or email direct jeff.pace@mymanatee.org

Apparently this is a false trail. geocoderOptions worked because it is deprecated, i.e. the parameter is skipped and it is executing with no options, which means it isnt pointing to the local geocoder. Currently the issue is you cannot use searchOptions with a local geocoder and have it return an address.

Derek Law Kelly Hutchins David Coley Confirmed with support this looks like a bug in api. Esri Case #01970931 JS Bin - Collaborative JavaScript Debugging Basically if you use "geocoderOptions" with the Directions widget it works as expected. If you use "searchOptions" in returns coordinates instead of the address when using a local geocoder. NOTE: Prior to 3.14, this option was named 'geocoderOptions'. this has been deprecated since 3.14 so it has been broken for a long time. It was supposedly fixed with Defect ID: BUG-000084635 but it looks like not. Thanks all for looking into it.

The step i did not complete was removing the secondary machine prior to upgrading. I moved the content directory local to basically ensure that it was a single machine site. As if it were never HA. I agree it may have been the WebContextURL or UNC pathing for the directory. I basically wanted to make it as simple as possible.

So our issue was a failed upgrade, due to me not following the upgrade path for HA environments (i didnt realize it was different) In the end, i restored the server, dropped the second machine, moved the content directory local to the server, and ran the upgrade. After that all was well. I am not sure i will restore the secondary server.

So this is what i notice. When I use the ESRI geocoder, the result is of the reverse geocode is { "address": { "Match_addr": "1301 6th Ave W, Bradenton, Florida, 34205", "LongLabel": "1301 6th Ave W, Bradenton, FL, 34205, USA", "ShortLabel": "1301 6th Ave W", "Addr_type": "PointAddress", "Type": "", "PlaceName": "", "AddNum": "1301", "Address": "1301 6th Ave W", "Block": "", "Sector": "", "Neighborhood": "Downtown Bradenton", "District": "", "City": "Bradenton", "MetroArea": "", "Subregion": "Manatee", "Region": "Florida", "Territory": "", "Postal": "34205", "PostalExt": "", "CountryCode": "USA" }, "location": { "x": -9192178.327651022, "y": 3185346.6512340987, "spatialReference": { "wkid": 102100, "latestWkid": 3857 } } }
But the result of the reverse geocode from my local geocoder is
{ "address": { "Street": "410 8TH ST W", "City": "BRADENTON", "ZIP": "34205", "Match_addr": "410 8TH ST W, BRADENTON, 34205" }, "location": { "x": -9191661.5173121095, "y": 3185587.8277426539, "spatialReference": { "wkid": 102100, "latestWkid": 3857 } } }
Since the Match_Addr is what is listed in the geocode results using ESRI
I would expect the same from a local geocoder.
