Woolpert, an Esri partner, is an architecture, engineering, and geospatial (AEG) company that works with clients in many industries such as aviation, education, government at all levels, maritime, and utilities. They use ArcGIS for a wide range of activities, including infrastructure and asset management, building information modeling (BIM) for sustainable design, and other innovative applications across their projects. For Woolpert, ArcGIS Enterprise isn’t just a product they use to provide geospatial infrastructure for client projects; they also actively use it to support internal daily GIS operations. Across its departments, the firm has 400 active GIS users and 300 viewers. ArcGIS Monitor provides observability by checking how well ArcGIS Enterprise is working; it looks at system health, performance, and usage. ArcGIS Monitor can send alerts via notifications to administrators about potential system issues. “Everything all in one place, it sounded too good to be true. ArcGIS Monitor gave us the insights that we didn’t have before,” said Cheryl Spencer, technical solutions consultant at Woolpert. “It can help pinpoint where problems are for us to see faster and get people back in the field.” Inside Woolpert’s Observability Strategy with ArcGIS Monitor Running 24/7

Hi @SusanCarlson, Is this happening for a newly registered ArcGIS Server site to Monitor? If so, can you please confirm you've met all the prerequsites? Register ArcGIS Server (see the Prerequisites for monitoring section) If this was working before and Monitor was collecting data from the ArcGIS Server site, then started happening - did something change recently? Maybe an OS update on the ArcGIS Server host? or possible security setting changes? Hope this helps,

If your organization is using ArcGIS Enterprise, consider leveraging ArcGIS Monitor. It provides observability by collecting metrics on the health, performance, and usage of your enterprise GIS. Monitor is designed to help system administrators and GIS managers ensure their ArcGIS Enterprise deployments are working efficiently by reducing and preventing system downtime, resulting in operational cost savings. The Esri State & Local Government Spring 2026 newsletter features an article that discusses component relationship graphs in ArcGIS Monitor 2025.1. This capability enables admins to visualize relationships between different enterprise GIS assets and can help you understand possible causes of performance issues. Visualize your Enterprise GIS Asset Dependencies with ArcGIS Monitor (pages 16 and 17) The ArcGIS Monitor user success stories page also features several government customers using ArcGIS Monitor.

ArcGIS Monitor provides observability by collecting metrics on the health, performance, and usage of your enterprise GIS. It is designed to help system administrators and GIS managers ensure their ArcGIS Enterprise deployments and underlying infrastructure is working efficiently. Please join us for the sixth user group meeting on June 9, 2026 at 9 am PST. Registration link What to expect: Cloudpoint Geospatial will provide strategies and tips for proactive management of an enterprise GIS, while dymaptic will discuss leveraging AI to extend ArcGIS Monitor. Attendees should have a solid foundation in ArcGIS Enterprise and working knowledge of ArcGIS Monitor. Meet our guest speakers: Virginia VanderVeen, Senior Systems Engineer, Cloudpoint Geospatial Virginia is a senior systems engineer focused on ArcGIS Enterprise architecture and operations. With a background in municipal GIS, early experience included supporting public works as a GIS analyst for the City of Battle Creek, Michigan, and administering the city’s asset management system, Cityworks. At Cloudpoint, Virginia designs and manages ArcGIS Enterprise deployments across on-premises and cloud environments as well as ArcGIS Enterprise roles and extensions such as ArcGIS GeoEvent Server, ArcGIS Image Server, and ArcGIS Monitor. Current work centers on system administration and automation using PowerShell, Python, and SQL, bridging the gap between GIS and IT to deliver stable, scalable GIS platforms. Christopher Moravec, Chief Technology Officer, dymaptic Christopher is an expert problem-solver and technology innovator who specializes in turning complex challenges into elegant solutions. As the CTO and founder of dymaptic, he combines his passion for building software with his expertise in GIS and AI technologies. Known for his creative approach to engineering challenges—from developing enterprise mapping solutions to creating whimsical inventions like candy-dispensing robots—Christopher brings both technical precision and innovative thinking to every project he undertakes. Kevin Sadrak, GIS Developer and Administrator, dymaptic As a child, Kevin used to sit and read the CIA’s World Factbook—he thought the geographical information and fold-out maps were just fantastic. Fast-forward nearly 20 years—he is making maps, doing analysis, and teaching others GIS. From task automation, custom Google Earth integration, data warehouses, imagery collection, and mobile field maps, Kevin has built many systems over the years and looks forward to the next challenge. Join us to learn from and connect with fellow ArcGIS Monitor users. We look forward to seeing you there!
