I'm having this same problem: In a survey with attachments (pictures) and a related table (repeat question), it will create the SDE tables on the first run, BUT, will not populate the picture attachment table (as the attachment table has no create date field, and there is no way to add it via AGOL), and, subsequent runs of the script fail with (table already exists), which is confusing, as I thought the script was supposed to check if the table exists, and if it does, just populate it.

I'm back to the arcpy messages:
ERROR 000258: Output Database Connections\RESTON SASQUATCH.sde\GRSM_SASQUATCH_SRV_EVENTS_GRSM_SASQUATCH_SRV already exists
Failed to execute (CreateFeatureclass).
error again. It's intermittent. I run this daily to pull survey results from the field, "most" of the time it runs fine, then, maybe after the 10th ro 15th time, it will bomb with the above error. The only solution is to delete the SDE table and start over. Very frustrating. Unfortunately, I do not know enough python to comment or disable the "check for existing" tables part of the script. It seems like I should be able to hard code the table name(s) into this, but I can't find where. Would love to simplify this so it just goes to the same table, every time, without checking for it first.

The problem with the way PTL queries AD, is, if in a big organization, it queries the ENTIRE forest, which, in a big org, can result in login waits of up to 20 minutes.

Would love to see details of your work-around. Having many problems with PTL ArcGIS Svr AD authentication, you may have a solution in your document.

I'd run SQL Profiler and Tuner to see where your query/index bottle necks are. I've found that the out of the box indexes that are created with a new feature class are often 100% of the cause of slow performing queries, and you need to tune the indexes, especially spatial.

Something like STDistance (geography Data Type) | Microsoft Docs but wrapped with a where clause, to capture your 200 ft requirement.

Most GIS'ers, like AutoCAD'ers, have multiple monitors for the explicit purpose of managing tools and data on one screen, and the ability to drag them over to a workspace. I'm struggling to understand why Pro Developers aren't understanding how most GIS users efficiently work, and keep trying to justify the lack of dual workspaces with responses like "...but it did it within the single application rather than through a separate, stand-alone app." . And I'll ask again, if the functionality is present in ArcMap, and it works, and the customers like/want/depend on it, why remove it, then tell the customers to provide a written justification for it's return, which, in most cases, will be a futile exercise, as others in this thread have confirmed?

What really get's me wrapped around the axle about Pro is ESRI's response to the folks pointing out lack of functionality "...submit an "idea"..." or "...explain your business case....". Someone in ESRI is drinking the Agile Kool-Aide on this project. Microsoft Office managed to port to 64 bit without eliminating 99% of its core tools.

Not seeing this in 1.4 either. If I understand correctly, Pro is slated to replace ArcMap. Does that imply that most functions currently present in ArcMap are going to permanently retired?

I don't think this issue is related to using the OID in relationship classes.

So every time the OID is updated (say, add a new feature), you'd have to perform this calculation again. I'm with Randy, sometimes, especially when looking at data issues (e.g. failed edits, etc...), objectid is the only thing you have to go on.

This feature is already in ArcMap. Pro is on track to replace ArcMap...? So why do we have to "vote" on "ideas" to keep existing functionality in the replacement? I'm just curious, wouldn't it have been easier...just to keep the same functions from the get-go? Not a fan of the extra steps (and output) that you have to execute in Pro to do the same thing.

Unacceptable. We structure entire drives (in-workstation and portable) to list GIS project folders...hundreds of them, hanging off the root.
