Eric, You need to set up your model to run from the server, this means that your server needs to be able to access any data that is used within it (i.e. the data must be on a shared area that the server can see and use UNC paths to the data). Output data must be written to a scratch area, see: http://webhelp.esri.com/arcgisdesktop/9.3/index.cfm?TopicName=Creating_models_for_geoprocessing_services Once you have the model set to run from the server you need to publish it and then test the model again in ArcMap. If you experience problems at this stage when testing your service in ArcMap you need to do some detailed analysis, a good place to start is turn on verbose logging in server manager and then check for any errors. A common one is the number of features being returned (I'm using 9.3.1 which has default value of 500, if this number is exceeded you just do not get a return). If you are happy that your service is working correctly move onto integrating it with the flex viewer, a good place to start is using the out of the box geoprocessing widget: http://help.arcgis.com/en/webapps/flexviewer/help/index.html#/Geoprocessing_widget/01m30000003t000000/ http://help.arcgis.com/en/webapps/flexviewer/help/index.html#/Geoprocessing_widget_tags/01m30000002s000000/ This handles most geoprocessing tasks by just setting up the config file. If you experience problems at this stage a good way of checking that the correct values are being passed to the server is to use Firefox with firebug so you can see the request being made. Again use server manager log files to make sure there is no errors being generated. Hope this helps Regards Anthony

ShwetaM Attached is a zip file containing both the compiled and uncompiled code. All you should need is an excel file that has a minimum of two columns one holding your x coords and the other your y coords (in the same spatial reference as your base map). All other columns will come across as attributes. In the config xml specify the column names used for your coords and a title field if required. Place the images under assets in your assets/images folder. Regards Anthony

Lefteris This functionality is nothing new you can add graphics to the viewer already, but to do it from a URL would still require custom code. It seems the upcoming new version of the FLEX API has support for overlays. Horray! http://resourcesbeta.arcgis.com/en/help/flex-api/samples/index.html#/Adding_Graphics/01nq00000012000000/ Regards Anthony

Shweta, Sorry I haven't implemented a solution to this problem to date but it is something that I want to do soon. I will post up the solution once I have done the work unless there is someone else out there that has already done this and doesn't mind sharing their compilied/uncompilied code (Zahid if you are reading this!!!). Regards Anthony

bkfreda, Technically, it is possible to embed Google Maps data into the Viewer. However, from a legal/licensing standpoint the answer is a little more complicated as there are legal constraints applied by Google that will not allow you to use their data outside of their APIs . Check this thread out: http://forums.arcgis.com/threads/14719-Flex-Viewer-and-Google-Maps Regards Anthony

bkfreda, Why do you need to add the layer in as Google base maps when its coming from an ArcGIS Server. Just use the REST endpoint in your flex application: http://server.arcgisonline.com/ArcGIS/rest/services/World_Street_Map/MapServer Regards Anthony
