I'm partial to the Parcel Fabric entry grid in ArcMap myself. With that, I could stay on the 10-key for a whole subdivision, other than having to pan the map or zoom in and out. With Pro's version I have to click on the start and end point for every lot line - where before I could enter point numbers as the beginning point and if it was close enough the end point was automatically populated. I realize that would be difficult to add that to the current interface, so this may be a pipe dream. I was much faster getting a subdivision done in ArcMap's parcel fabric entry grid than Pro's.

I would double check to make sure I didn't switch the tool to just look at specific layers by hitting the drop down arrow below the tool. I usually have mine set to explore the layer selected in the contents pane. Maybe you inadvertently changed that setting to be "No Pop-Ups"?

Thanks for the update Tim. Any idea when that bug will be fixed? It's not much of an override if I have to involve the mouse.

Hey folks, I hope you can help me out. I have been messing around with the Traverse tool and I have hit a bit of a snag. I have my traverse set up to take the delta as the final parameter for my curve, but my description gave me arc length and chord length. When I try to use the chord override - 119c it still uses dms as units and I end up with 119° 00' 00" when I hit enter. Here are some screen shots: Which gives me this when I hit enter: Before you say "Change the dms to feet.", I tried, it only offers angle units - dd, dms, ra. I like to use the delta angle for my go to curve parameter, so I need to be able to override it when it isn't given to me in the description. I get the same behavior when I use the arc length override. I should mention, I am editing a line feature class that has COGO attributes, not a parcel fabric. Am I missing a setting? Thanks

ArcMap has a built in "Calculate Geometry" option that allows you to calculate the length of features. You don't have to use Arcade, you just specify units.

So it turns out it was a problem with having different layers in the same map pointing to different versions of my sde geodatabase that caused the problem. I had a few layers pointing to the default version and then the layers I was editing pointing to a child version. When I added just my editing layers to a different project and pointed them to the editing version I was able to move my polygons. I think the problem corrupted my original map, I am now unable to select any polygons for the move tool even after pointing all of my layers to my editing version. But if I insert a new map in the original project and add my editing layer, point it to the editing version, I can move polygons. I guess I had better report a bug. Thanks for all of the input everyone.

Correction, it's not the default version. I'm going to switch it to default and try that. *edit* - The points and lines were in the default version and my polygons were in a child version.

No luck. I guess I should mention I'm editing the default version of an sde geodatabase. But points and lines in that same geodatabase move as directed.

Thanks Matthew, but I saved edits and zoomed in and out, polygon still stays in original location.

I keep trying to do things in Pro so that I can switch to using it full time but I keep hitting snags that make me lose confidence in it. Like today, I'm trying to move a polygon feature, but it doesn't move. I go through all of the steps, select a polygon move the anchor, drag the polygon to a new location snapping it to another feature and click the finish check box, but it goes back to its original location and the tool says it was successful. It works with points and lines, just not polygons. Can anyone duplicate this?

David, Are you able to remove heading labels from the contents pane in the map? I'm going to be sharing a layer to ArcGIS Online and I don't want the headings to get published. In fact, I don't want the layer name either, just the group layer name and the labels. Is it the same place I change the default patch symbol? I know how to do that in ArcMap, but I can't find it in Pro. Thanks, Jeff

Tom, Yup, I was using the catalog pane. I tried it with the insert tab and I was able to get the finer tick marks. Thanks! Jeff
