Rachel, Usually in a description, if there is no mention of a chord bearing or radial bearing it is implied that the curve is tangent to the previous course in the description. You can then enter the two parameters that you are given to finish the curve. What are you using to enter the description? Are you using the Traverse Tool? If so, you would enter * <enter> 0 <enter> 594.15 <enter> 45.1109 That is assuming your final parameter is set as the delta (central angle), you may have to change the entry unit to dms instead of dd

I'm running ArcGIS Pro 2.8.2. I created a new project and in that project I created a new Parcel Fabric. When I add that fabric to a map in the project, the "List by editing" tab has warning icons saying there is a later version of the fabric available and I should use the Upgrade Dataset tool to update it. I try to do that and it says I'm using the latest version. Anyone else experiencing that?

I was a fan of using point labels in the ArcMap fabric because I could construct a subdivision much more quickly. I could stay on the number keys and just use the mouse for map navigation. With the pro version, I have to click on a starting point, click on an end point, enter the bearing and distance, then click on New and do it all over again. Plus if I was entering a series of parallel lot lines ArcMap kept the last entered bearing and distance and I could enter the starting point id then hit Enter a few times and the line was done. I was really fast in ArcMap, Pro is much slower - it seems like when I have a long traverse the lag time between being able to enter lines gets quite significant as well.

@jcarlsonThis is how I have been doing things as well. I first create the subdivision boundary create seeds and build, then select and copy subdivision lines to my lots layer using the divide tool to break the lines up. Then add the interior lot lines create seeds then build making sure there's a seed in each lot (sometimes I miss a line), number each lot with the sequential numbering tool. Then select the lots that will become tax parcels, follow the relationship class connection to the lines, copy those to tax_ parcels then create seeds and build and using the sequential numbering tool to add the parcel ID.

Anna, Your screenshot is showing the "List by Editing" tab of your contents pane. Can you switch it to the "List by Drawing Order" pane and take another screenshot? Thanks,

I had the same problem and learned that I needed to actually turn them on so they are visible. Expand the feature class for which you are trying to create seeds in the contents pane, and make sure the seeds layer is visible. I found out that they were being created I just couldn't see them. I hope that helps.

You can turn off the selection box by going to the backstage, then options, on the Selection tab unselect the "Display the interactive selection graphic". I actually like it, it allows me to re-select if I had the wrong layers select-able, I just need to bump it a little after I make the change in the List by Selection tab of the contents pane.

You can modify the locator providers to search just one field in a layer. I did a tutorial on the Locate tool here: https://youtu.be/DGBtMEtp-Z0

Have you tried the Align Features tool? it works without a topology. You can even turn off the layer you want to align while you trace the feature to which you want it aligned, then turn it on before you hit the Align button.

Currently, while building a map tile package the geoprocessing tool gives feedback as a progress bar with the percent complete in written format: The problem is, it shows 100% complete, but the process is still running. Creating a tile package in ArcMap gave us very clear feedback of the progress - which scale level was currently being processed with how many left to go. Can we please get the same feedback in Pro?

Anyone encountering this error message? The layer shows as editable in the editing view and the status dialog. I'm trying to duplicate lot lines that are identical to other lot lines in the plat and then move them to the correct position. My plat is a bunch of townhomes that are identical or mirrored, so I am trying to copy and paste them, then move them. I seem to run into this error a lot in the parcel fabric, this time I selected a bunch of lines, mirrored them, then attempted to move them to their proper location. The mirroring worked fine, but when I try to move the lines I get the above. What am I doing wrong? Thanks,

I would really like to have multiple field mapping scenarios that I could choose from a drop down when copying and pasting features from one layer/table to another, much like I can have multiple definition queries and choose which one is applied on the Data tab in the Definition Queries group. I want this - For this -

I'm thinking the transition to the new forum platform has messed with your code samples - it looks like newlines and white space didn't come across very well.

When I use the append tool, it's usually part of my ETL process. In that process I have a layer joined with a table that I am appending to another layer. Because of that join, my source layer field names are qualified and look like this - sde.DBO.Ownershiptable.NAME and my target layer field is just NAME. The field mapping component of the append tool doesn't auto match the fields because of the join. I would love it if the append tool looked at just the actual field name instead of the fully qualified field name when auto-matching field names. This could be added to the Environments tab of the tool.
