Have you tried opening the aprx file on another computer? Have you had another GIS user try to open the same aprx file to see if it behaves differently?

Try putting in some print statements of variables to see what they are returning at various steps within your code, as this is a useful troubleshooting technique. I would also suggest breaking down the script into smaller components and get each component to work and add back code as you work out the errors that exist in your current code.

You should be fine with the sde:oracle11g in the connection string. My org did thorough testing in this area and SDE data still works as expected.

I added the SSURGO Soil feature service from the Living Atlas and I want to apply a definition query to service, but this does not appear to be available as per below screenshot. https://landscape11.arcgis.com/arcgis/rest/services/USA_Soils_Map_Units/featureserver I only see General and Metadata whereas I should have access to many more properties including definition query MichaelVolz_0-1625079309604.png Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Josh: Is there a Living Atlas URL to access a Soil service that you could use as-is in a web application instead of downloading the data onto a local server?

Do you have a parallel test Portal environment to make these changes to to make sure everything works as expected before performing the same action on your production Portal? On the Organization->Settings->Server page is your Hosting Server blank? For me this server is the same as the Federated Server and I am unable to change it through Portal home page.

That is the way my federated server to Portal is currently setup. Are there specific reasons why you would not want this server to be a federated server as well as a Hosting server? Does this code require a username and password? Does the user need to be an administrator of the Portal for the script to run?

What is your active portal (AGOL or on-premise)? Do you have the World Geocoding Service referenced in the active portal? I had AGOL as the active portal and the World Geoding Service was registered there so it appears by default. I switched the active portal to an on-premise portal and the World Geoding Service was no longer available by default. This might explain your scenario.

https://geocode.arcgis.com/arcgis/rest/services/World/GeocodeServer The portion up to GeocodeServer looks correct, but you cannot access the REST endpoint as it is disabled for viewing. The World Geocode Service should be available by default in the dropdown list for address locators when geocoding a table of addresses.

It looks like you are using your own locator. Can you try using the World Geocoding Service on a small sample set to see if you get the same behavior (small set so as to not consume too many valuable credits)?

So I am only trying to use 5 different unique value combinations between two fields so I am no where near the 200 unique value limit.

Thanks David. That looks like the path I will go down and I have had some success. I am somewhat puzzled as I am unable to get one of the unique values symbolized in AGOL even though I can see the unique value symbology in Pro with the same feature service. Are there any limitations on the values that are recognized in an Arcade expression?

I am trying to symbolize a feature service on two different fields in a Portal web map. The first field I choose I have all fields available. Unfortunately, the second field I try to choose only appears to be numeric values (field list is filtered outside my control) and I want the second field to be a string field, so I am unable to symbolize the layer like I can in ArcMap or Pro. Has anyone ever encountered this limitation? Any ideas on how to overcome this problem if I do not have Ownership of the data and I am required to use the data as is?
