These are great, thanks! Looking forward to similar templates for the new Collector for ArcGIS. Are those available yet, or is there a timeframe on availability?

Collector Classic will rotate display based on screen orientation. It would be nice if the new Collector for ArcGIS does the same. Edit: upon further testing, I noticed that the screen rotates on the iPad but not the iPhone (5s, portrait orientation lock is off).

It would be nice to have the ability to rename the offline area directly in the 'Add Offline Area' menu rather than after downloading the offline area to the device. I can see having to do this a lot as 'area 1, 2, 3, etc' is not very descriptive and being able to do so up front would save a step. The attached screenshot would be the perfect place to have this feature

When adding an offline area, it would be really useful to see the size of the file to be downloaded (like in Collector Classic) before the download occurs. This way the level of detail and area could be adjusted better up front. Right now the file size appears after the area has been downloaded to the device.

For those of us who are ArcGIS Online Org admins and have authored a ton of maps, it would be useful to be able to collapse and expand the 'My Maps' section of the main menu in the new Collector for ArcGIS, otherwise it's a bunch of scrolling to get down into the groups section. Thanks!

Instead of having to click out of the map to go to the offline areas menu to move to another section of downloaded map, can the chunks of downloaded area just be visible all at once when you open the map in the Collector for ArcGIS interface? It would especially be useful in areas of interest that are long but diagonal, such as the example below, where a traditional rectangle would include unnecessary basemap, and a series of map areas seems more appropriate. Being able to specify map area by polygon would be an extremely useful alternative.

As an admin I am having a hard time prepping for the switch to https and want to go about it very intentionally... without a bulk option it seems like it's going to require a lot of coordination with all of our content owners to update URLs to https unless we admins go in and do it ourselves, which will take a lot of time. Is ESRI planning to add any functionality to help with the transition, or am I not understanding the process correctly? And what if a layer isn't in a webmap but standalone? How do we update the layer to HTTPS?

I am researching this as well and am curious myself, as we currently have a mix of https and non-https items as our Organization was created years ago. Does 'flipping the switch' turn all content to https as well as restricting access or do we need to individually go through our content and update? Knowing these things up front and having some guidance from ESRI as to the implications would be helpful, especially in coordinating with so many users with individual content. I don't want to break anything!

I recently experienced this issue again and remembered this post... checked on my bug report and there are no comments or updates to BUG-000104595: All layers from a web map are visible when opened in.. I also noticed that bringing layers from an ArcGIS webmap into desktop does not respect filters set in the webmap. I'm using 10.3.1 still, is this fixed in newer versions of Desktop? Our program as a whole hasn't made the switch to Pro yet.
