Similarly, our staff have been using Collector Classic because of the ability to use location tracking within the app. I thought with the release of Tracker for ArcGIS to ArcGIS Online we'd be able to start transitioning... due to the reasons stated above as well as having to pay for a feature that was previously available and then removed, we may be stuck with Collector Classic. Our staff also wants to be able to see their tracks for longer periods of time. They are inventory biologists and want to know where they and other biologists have been in a field season.

Hi Randall, I'm wondering if ESRI is still planning to update ArcGIS Online to require HTTPS and disable plain text HTTP this year (you said Q4 expected in your January reply) or if this has been pushed back. Will we receive email communications from ESRI warning us of any impending HTTP disabling like the TLS changes? I'd like to give my users a heads up and check their content, ideally with a timeframe in mind but I can't find any other dates for the ESRI HTTPS switch in my searching. Thanks, Danielle

I have a user with a Pixel and she is getting this error when trying to download a map. All iPhone and iPad users are able to download the map just fine. Any ideas?

This also happened to me, a coworker, and a colleague in another agency on two different dataset exports. The item is created in my content and when I download it, I click on the zipped folder and get the following message: If I navigate to the folder in windows explorer and try to extract the zipped folder, I get this message:

Thanks, the ArcGIS Online Assistant workaround is good to know! Always scary to me to edit the JSON but I did it on a test dataset and everything appears as it should.

Wondering if anyone else is experiencing this issue... I added a string field with a Y/N domain to an editable feature service for use in Collector, through the ArcGIS Online interface. The feature service consists of 3 layers, and I added the field and domain identically to each. I can use the layers to collect data, but I can't tap on a feature to bring up its pop-up details in Collector for ArcGIS, for any webmap that containing the layers. I can ID on all the other layers in the webmap and get their pop-ups.. I made sure to reconfigure and enable pop-ups in each webmap containing the layers with the added field, and even created a new webmap to no avail. I could definitely tap on these layers and access the pop-up before the schema change. It seems that somehow adding the field made the pop-up inaccessible in Collector for ArcGIS... the thing that is driving me crazy is that it works just fine in Collector Classic! I can tap on a feature and its pop-up details comes right up in the app. This is good because there's a workaround and it leads me to believe I'm not doing anything wrong, but I can't figure out what to do to remedy this in the new Collector. Anyone know what could be going on here? Thanks!

Hi Scott, Is that script you mentioned available somewhere online, and could you point me there? I'm very interested in being able to replace overwritten dates/names during republishing with the true data! Danielle

Hi Aaron, I added a string field to an editable feature service that folks had downloaded in Collector on Friday via ArcGIS Online (on the Data tab of the details page, see screenshot). I had instructed my users not to use Collector that day in anticipation that it would break things, but two people forgot and the data actually synced just fine. They did need to re-download maps to pull in the updated field so I think that hassle is unavoidable, but you should at least be able to add the field via AGOL. I will say that for some reason now this feature service isn't identifiable in Collector any more... I can collect just fine but when I tap on a feature it's details do not show up. I've checked the popups and recreated the map even. While I can't say for sure it's from adding the field, it's something I am currently troubleshooting. Works fine in Classic so that's a workaround for now. Danielle

When I am trying to add an offline area in Collector on my iPad, if I click on the layers button to access the layers/legend menu, there's no "Done" button as there is in the iPhone. When I click out of the layers/legend menu, it minimizes the entire Add Offline Area screen and I am back at the main menu. Can either a 'Done' button be added, like in the iPhone, so that one may return to the Add Offline Area screen, or can the Add Offline Area screen not go away when I tap out of the layers/legend menu in the iPad? App and iPad are both up to date, so seems like a bug or oversight to me.
