I noticed the code formatter is replacing some characters on the SVG URI so just in case anyone actually copies it you might wanna make sure to replace "&colon" with an actual colon character (:)

We've identified that when providing an SVG as data URI for CIM picture markers nothing is rendered. To reproduce, using the CIM Symbol Builder: Create CIMPictureMarker using the "Custom" tab Replace the generated URL with an SVG data URI Or use the following JSON: {

Did you ever figure the second issue out? I'm having the same problem but only when I publish my application and not on development.

That's great feedback Thomas...thanks so much. The applications that I'm referring to are letting the user add/edit/delete points/attributes and they need to see the results immediately, so the Python export wouldn't work for us in this case. Great idea, though.

I never really resolved this problem...if we have a lot of features on the map we get the user to narrow down their search before we start displaying a lot of data (even using the dynamic map image service layer).

We're trying to take advantage of the new extract data option in the ArcGIS JavaScript API, and are testing it out using the OurServer/ArcGIS/rest/services/System/SpatialAnalysisTools/GPServer/ExtractData/submitJob REST API method. We shared our feature class as a service (checking the Extract option for the feature service), and are trying to do a simple shapefile extract to test it out. We have started the SpatialAnalysisTools service, and are testing with the following inputLayers data: [ { 'url' : 'OurServer/ArcGIS/rest/services/ServiceName/FeatureServer/0', 'filter': '1 = 1' } ] Whenever we submit a job it errors out with a "Failed to execute" error. The message code is "AO_100026" and the extra log text in the system error logs is "Missing organization data store." We have version 10.4.1 of ArcGIS server installed. Our feature class works fine with the other REST web api methods, and the database data store has been validated. Any ideas why we are getting the missing organization data store error? Thanks, Steve

Thanks for your feedback. Sometimes we will iterate through features that are already in the map on the browser and then sometimes we can create the shapefile directly from a query of the feature class on the server, so we're wanting to implement it both ways. We have already written the .Net classes to create the shapefile three different ways (manually iterating through a set of features, feature class query, and database query) and return a FileStreamResult to the browser, which worked great on our developer computers in their Visual Studio IDEs by creating an instance of the desktop runtime. When they published to the server we realized that our implementation was not optimal for publishing on the server. I will take a look at using the geoprocessing framework...thanks again for your feedback on this.

We want to provide shapefile download support for our web applications. We have implemented shapefile downloads using ArcObjects with ArcMap installed on a desktop, but want to also provide this functionality from our controller action methods inside our MVC web applications. It appears that writing a server object extension would be the correct way to achieve this. Has anyone already implemented this as a server object extension? Any advice on the "correct" way to handle this would be appreciated.

I've installed several ArcMap servers and until this latest install have had no issue publishing web services from ArcMap to ArcGIS for Server. I have a Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard with SQL Server 2014 and ArcGIS Server 10.4 installed. From ArcMap 10.4 I am able to connect to the database and view data in a point feature class. When I choose "File->Share As Service..." and choose "Publish a service" from the first dialog, I then choose my server connection and give the service a name. On the third dialog, I'm able to choose the "Use existing folder" option and choose the folder that I created using Server Manager. When I click "Continue" from this dialog, the dialog never returns and I eventually have to end the task using Task Manager. I'm not seeing any helpful error logs on the server and have not had any issues publishing services until now. I've install ArcMap desktop 10.4 on the server and I get the same response when trying to share the feature class as a web service. Any ideas?

These overlapping features are from the same feature layer, not multiple feature layers. If I click on overlapping features from the same feature layer, should I be seeing some navigation tools on the PopupTemplate? Thanks for the quick responses. I'm trying to see if I can go ahead and move to 4.0 or if I need to stay at 3.17, and have a few tight deadlines.

Thanks for the response Matt. Do you know of any workarounds that people are using until this is a part of the framework? I can make an ajax call to get the url for the image attachment but am not sure how to dynamically add to the text content of the PopupTemplate.

In the 4.0 Javascript API the PopupTemplate is not providing a way to move to the next or previous feature if I click on overlapping features. I'm using a simple FeatureLayer and basic PopupTemplate -- is navigating between overlapping features not supported yet for the PopupTemplate?

In the 4.0 Javascript API I can list image attachments using the PopupTemplate's "attachments" content type. Users can then click on the attachment to download it. What I need, though, is to display the image in the PopupTemplate. Is there any current method for doing this?
