I'm here to support this idea. When building a new enterprise geodatabase from an existing one, privileges are one of the hardest things to manage. It would be super useful to be able to choose whether privileges are imported with a dataset or not during import of that dataset. It would also be useful to recreate all database users when the database is created.

Hi Jessica - sorry I added the job link to the posting above - but here it is for you-- https://www.governmentjobs.com/careers/utah/jobs/3758955/geoscience-data-specialist There are telecommute opportunities with this position but it will require some in-office times as well.

The Utah Geological Survey (UGS) is seeking a talented, self-motivated, problem-solver who enjoys working with geologic data and is familiar with designing and managing enterprise GIS and database systems on servers and in the Cloud. We specialize in sharing geoscience data online, and with our ever-expanding collection of data, we are in need of more expertise and collaboration. Under supervision of the GIS Manager, we are looking for someone with a keen eye for detail, an interest in creating and automating GIS data workflows, and a strong passion for geology. https://www.governmentjobs.com/careers/utah/jobs/3758955/geoscience-data-specialist

Michelle - You are correct, the problem is with the inbox downloading all the records. Thank you for the quick response - I didn't know about the inbox limit. Do you know if there are any workarounds for downloading/getting all the data onto the IPAD at once? We are inventorying all records for our entire state, by unique ID, so I was hoping that the user could search through all records, instead of being limited spatially.

I am having an issue downloading my survey to the survey 123 mobile app. The survey I created has one feature class and two related tables. The datasets are pretty big - one of the related tables has ~97,000 records (the other datasets are smaller - the feature class has ~6000 records and the second related table has ~11000 records). The data is hosted in AGOL. In the Survey 123 web app, everything seems to work OK -- I can edit the feature class data, display the related records, edit the related records etc.. However, I have been trying to download the survey to an Ipad , and it just spins....Is there a way to side load my hosted feature to the ipad instead of trying to sync it over wi-fi (using a mobile geodatabase or something like that)?

Hi - I was wondering if there is a way to refresh the metadata in a map when a feature class has been replaced/overwritten? I often overwrite file geodatabases on our server with file geodatabases that I worked on locally. In file explorer, I copy/paste and replace the entire geodatabase (with the same exact name for the gdb plus all feature classes have the same name). When I do this, the old metadata still shows in the feature properties 'view metadata' tab in the map (right click on feature in Contents). However, if I look at the metadata for the datasource from the geodatabase it shows the new metadata (navigate to geodatabase in catalog pane - right click on feature class - view metadata). The feature class in the catalog pane is the datasource for the feature class in the map. Is the old metadata saved in the map or something? Is there a refresh button for the metadata? The Catalog View 'Refresh' button doesn't update to the new metadata like I would expect.

When I publish to AGOL, I often need to increase the Max Record Count in the REST endpoint before using the data. I think a button should be added, when publishing a hosted feature, so that we don't have to change the setting in the admin page of the REST endpoint. Also, an added bonus would be to show the existing value of the max record count when we overwrite a service. I have overwritten services in the past and failed to remember that I had increased the max record count the last time.

Hello. I use the following script to batch export and backup my Hosted Feature Layers on AGOL: https://support.esri.com/en/technical-article/000022524 The script works great for most things. The problem I am running into is Hosted Feature Layers with an associated Scene Layer (multipatch feature published from PRO). The script, as is, creates a blank geodatabase for each feature layer that has a scene layer (i.e. no data inside the gdb). If I change the query item type to Scene Service, Python recognizes that I have 8 items, but an error occurs on the download. If I change the item type to Scene Layer, Python doesn't recognize any items. I would like an exported database with the multipatch feature just like the other features layers. I've tried writing the scene exports to SLPK, GeoJSON, and File Geodatabase. I am using Jupyter Notebooks to run the script if that matters. Any ideas?

Thank you Robert. Yes that actually helps a lot. I ended up removing single attachments in the Attachment Manager in ArcMap, but its good to know that in PRO it actually has to be done in the table instead.
