As previously mentioned I did this. In fact everything is perfectly fine in ArcPro the Problem lies with the construct of AGOL and the defualts setup in there. If you dig into the JSON of the published service you won't find the format code unless you specify it (which I did) Every date feild you publish into AGOL gets the defualts display formating regardless of what you set at the time of publishing which is: "format": {
"dateFormat": "shortDateShortTime",
"timezone": "utc"
} or shortDate. What it should be by defualt for all popups, attribute tables, query windows and displays is: "format": {
"dateFormat": "shortDateLEShortTime",
"timezone": "utc"
} Which is in contravention to the help documentation which states: if this change was made in core AGOL coding most of the people in this thread wouldn't be having these issues. How dates are displayed The client you use to view the data determines how date and time values are displayed. When a date field is displayed in ArcGIS Online, the date is converted from UTC to your local time. This is done by querying your computer and asking it for its time zone setting. For example, suppose your computer is set to pacific standard time (PST). PST is eight hours behind UTC—when UTC is 9:00 a.m, it is 1:00 a.m. PST (or 2:00 a.m. if daylight saving time is in effect). I would also ask where the reference is for the "timezone" parameter in the JSON as it doesn't appear to conform to the standards setout in the world time API http://worldtimeapi.org/timezones in the examples in the help documentation

Most of the solutions provided are not honored by AGOL. I quite specifically and deliberately specified all of the timezone parameters accross all of my services. Set the timezone in ArcPro prior to publishing and neumerous other settings and even JSON edits directly to the hosted feature service and at the end of the day. the map reader should honor the date and timezone specifed on the clients device. which it doesn't.

ESRI Date Fields are confussing for most of the globe Date format by country - Wikipedia. There needs to be a tool to Bulk change every date field pop up and display to a specified format. My organisation is relatively small yet I need to manually change the date pop up for 696 Fields each time I kick of a new project. Lest be conservitive and say we can do it in 15 Seconds for each Field thats 3 hours of wasted time and effort. I currently have 19 Projects open, duplicated in Portal and ArcGIS Online. I would really hate to think how long this would take a large organisation.

Pointless setting only applies to the website and no data fields or interactions are affected. This is the behaviour we would like to see accross every instance of a date in the entire portal and data not just when the map was lasted updated.

This was partially implimented by ESRI, Although I quest why there is a setting at all given there is this restriction on it. To ESRI Inc, are you going to apply this to the 900 Fields I have dates in over 70 maps because I am not. Are you going to pay for the contractor to do this given in the mxd and ArcPro Map the services where published from they are correct? What about the attribute table, map labels, or annimation time slices??? Considerations for number and date format Keep the following in mind when setting the number and date format: Currently, you can only set the number and date format when English or Spanish is selected as the language. Additional locales will be supported in a future release. The Number and date format setting is not reflected in the date values displayed in attribute tables, map labels, or animation time slices, or when viewing pop-ups. However, you can create a simple Arcade attribute expression using the Text() function to change the format of dates in pop-ups.

I have been trying to work out what is happening with syncing a hosted feature layer in ArcPro 2.4.3. SO the workflow I have been using is very simple: Open new Map Add The hosted feature service from ArcGIS Online click download map make edits to data press sync So sometimes I end up running into a road block when either downloading the service or syncing the data back. I get the error Where do we get more information about this error? I can't find anything its a ArcGIS Online hosted service so there are no server logs. Is there a location in ArcPro where info about why would be saved? currently its just keep trying holding your toungue a different way and hoping something works.

I have noticed significant delays in general navigation through the application. Which gets especially bad if you are faster than the application itself. Examples: Select features, and make a selection from the selected features, clear the selected features, if you are too fast doing this the application can hang for a few minutes while it catches up. (local data on a new very high end machine) adding layers to geoprocessing tools by dragging and droping, I find it can take upto a minute just to add a layer from the map to the append tool Manage Tile Cache Tooloverall performance, useability, and interaction with this particular tool is just Bad on every level, ArcMap is probably about 800% faster.

First Thanks for this tool, as a conceptual design for tendering this is a brilliant first pass tool. The rotation mechanism is a bit hit and miss A couple of things I would love to see on it: add manual text entry for rotation angles like the elevation text box/ dynamically updated when rotating. add an optional zone of influence option with a maximum range and grade for battering.

Yeah I don't want to convert them to rasters and aggregate the elevation sources. Terrain are great for their scalability and visualization but what is the point if they can't be the elevation source in a 3D scene or view. The only reason you convert to rasters is for processing ease if you want an actual real representation of the elevation TIN's are much better but bad a scaling that's where the terrain format is great with it essentially being a TIN with Pyramid layers.

Why are LAS, and Terrain Datasets not acceptable formats as an elevation source? Terrain Dataset is an ESRI elevation surface format??? Converting these high resolution datasets to other formats is such a waste of processing time. Elevation sources An elevation source contains the data that defines the elevation surface. An elevation surface can have more than one elevation source, and you can combine different types. Local elevation sources can be either a raster that contains elevation information or a TIN dataset. LAS datasets and terrain datasets cannot be used as an elevation source. You can also use an elevation image service as an elevation source or a portal web elevation layer. You can find elevation layers on ArcGIS Online by searching for the keyword elevation. If you use custom image services, make sure you have elevation defined as the service type.

It's promising that we may finally be getting some of these tools again. I do question if the issue in relation to definition queries and replications has been solved yet? Its an issue for all disconnected environments across the platform, Collector for ArcGIS, ArcEnterprise Collaberations, ArcDesktop. FIlters and queries have been the backbone of GIS data visualisation for years but in an offline workflow they are incredibly buggy. In our use case scenario we have design to push out to the field after it clears quality checks. Simple definition query to only show approved values in the data. Works perfect when a value changes to approved. Where it goes bad is if the value changes back the other way. The features will remain in the child, WITH THE INCORRECT VALUE. A replication sync needs to complete and then for a filtered replica/service/branched version needs to rebuild the included GlobalID list AFTER the sync has occurred and clean up the child data copy.

I appreciate the complexities of that in exceptionally large organisations this could pose an issue. I fail to see how it's any different to the maps available in Arc Online. My thought would be that a permission level for the Organisation for sharing to the whole organisation would be a better approach to the issue. My use scenario is that I get a lot of issues with maps not coming up in collector for lower technically capable personell. The simple solution was to create a single Map share with the entire organisation with a few layers with specific permissions and allows me to identify whats going wrong for that user very quickly. The problem being this map isn't coming up in collector as I had only shared it with the entire organisation. Trouble shooting is more complex now the Admin Tools For Arc Online no longer works. We control the maps shared with the whole organisation very tightly and only have 2 shared this way.
