You could use the Feature Vertices to Points tool to create start and end points for your stream lines - do this as 2 feature classes using the 'START' and 'END' options for the Point Type parameter. Then use Spatial Join to join your pond Ids to the start and end point layers. Then use table joins to link this back to your stream data. You will need to be aware of connectors that may be in the stream network as they will most likely be included as contributing and flowing from a pond - exclude them before creating your end points if possible.

You will need to contact your local Esri distributor to purchase an EDN subscription. Unlike many of the other Esri SDKs the ArcObjects SDK requires either ArcGIS Engine or Desktop to be installed on your computer and these won't run without a license.

It should be in the Downloads area unless you have an EDN subscription. Click on Downloads or EDN and then click on Downloads again in the menu on the left. This should give you a list of products to download. Find ArcGIS for Desktop 10.2.2 and click View Downloads and the SDK should be in the list of downloads:

Try changing this line: this.map.centerAndZoom(myGraphicPoint.geometry, 8); to: this.map.centerAndZoom(myGraphicPoint, 8); The Center and Zoom function takes a Point as the first argument.

I just tested this using ArcMap 10.2.2 and the data seems fine. The data uses the GDA_1994_Albers projection. I also changed the projection of the map to UTM Zone 55 (GDA 94) and added some other Australian data and it all lines up: The attribute table is also complete: The first thing to try is downloading the data again - the missing fields in the attribute table is odd. After that I would check that your other Tasmanian data has a valid spatial reference applied. What is the spatial reference of the map data frame and your other layers?

At first I thought this may be an issue with dividing by zero or null values in your input fields. However, after testing this in ArcMap 10.2 with a file geodatabase table the field calculator produces the following results without raising any errors: What version of ArcMap are you using and what is your underlying data stored in?

This tool is very impressive, joining the fields in just over 12 seconds. For my original issue, I ended up changing the way that the data was being processed to avoid the join field geoprocessing tool altogether. However, I am marking Bruce's answer as correct as it is most likely to help others that are searching for a solution to this problem.

The .Net code just passes parameters to the geoprocessor object to run the tool. If there are only a limited number of different land uses then: Create a new field in your shapefile to hold the text values. Use Select by Attributes to select all features with ID = 1 Right-click on your new field and Field Calculator to set the value to "Open Space" Repeat 2 and 3 for all of the other land use types Alternatively, if you have table containing your id values and descriptions then you could join the data and calculate them all at once.

I have a table containing some calculated results and a feature class with 4 text fields that I want to bring into the results table based on a shared ID field (Long). Both contain just fewer than 60,000 rows/features and both have indexes on the ID field used for the join. If I do this using the Join Field tool in ArcMap 10.2.2 the process takes over 50 minutes. This is insane for a join on ~60k rows. As a comparison I can do the process manually in ArcMap in under 4 minutes by creating new fields, joining data and calculate fields. If I use the Add Join tool to join all fields the process takes 11 seconds. However, this brings in a whole heap of fields that I am not interested in. Additional notes: The process is to be run from within a .Net application so the manual process is not an option. The PC is an 8 core machine, the CPU usage sits at around 12% and there is about 10GB of available memory. Why is Join Field so incredibly slow?
