Thanks for the update about Overture. I might park this for a bit to give them time to sort it. The errors come at the very beginning of the notebook. This is in Pro 3.6 beta btw. If I comment out a few lines to just try and set the region I get the following similar error for the httpfs extension: I have googled and cannot find any reference to where it does not pull the latest version, and defaults to v0.0.0. Thanks, Marc

Hi @BruceHarold , Thanks for this. I am getting an error installing the DuckDB Extensions: I can't work out why it is trying to get the extension from v0.0.0 have you seen this and maybe know how to force a version? Thanks, Marc

This is a great idea. Having flexibility in symbology while still being able to take advantage of all features is a must.

Hi, with the announcements around Gaussian splat support in ArcGIS pro 3.6, can we please get an update on what file formats are supported, including industry standards such as ply and spz. i hope that ArcGIS pro will be interoperable with other reality model generation tools that are outside the Esri ecosystem. thanks, Marc

Hi, I have to say "Adding this functionality to Scene Viewer is in our backlog but not yet planned for a specific release." is pretty disappointing. ArcGIS Online was released in 2012. That's 13 years ago. To still not have simple support for line labelling in the platform's 3d viewer is unfortunate, to not even have it planned for release is outrageous. Surely basic functionality such as labels for standard GIS data types in your "premier" 3d gis viewer should be top of the list. To this question: "Could you please share any insights to your workflows or use cases you are trying to solve?" - we need to be able to label 3d contours for Airport Obstacle Limitation surfaces. I know we could generate points on the contours and label those, but that's additional layers and analysis to solve a problem that IMO shouldn't exist. Sorry for the rant and thanks, Marc

Hi, The tool that is supplied in the ArcGIS Aviation Product Data generates 3D Contour extents, but 2D Contours. Can you please enhance it to generate 3D Contours by adding "Feature to 3D by Attribute" and converting the 2D contours to 3D polylines? Thanks, Marc

Hi there, When I create a multi runway OLS, some times I only want the merged surfaces. please give me the option to only create these, not to create all the other surfaces and then have to delete them leaving behind only the merged surfaces. e.g. change this: to: Or similar. Thanks, Marc

Hi @MichaelDavidsonPM That’s a fair point. I’d like you to consider however, providing the user the option. On deletion of the Esri layer you could prompt the user: there is an associated cad layer xyzx. Would you like to remove this also? The user can choose to or not, depending on whether they have added additional features. They should know if they have. This could be a good middle ground, of simplifying the cad layer management, while providing a decision point for the user to think, is this what I want. cheers, Marc

Hi @Brian_McLeer I tried to deploy this to my ArcGIS Enterprise Portal, but it appears that the widget only supports developer edition as there is no dist folder only src. Are you able to release compiled versions of the widget suitable for ArcGIS Enterprise? Thanks, Marc

Hi, Where we have complex BIM models that intersect with the ground, we need the ability to cut a hole in the Ground surface, similar to how ArcGIS Pro works. Currently if there is a dem with a NoData area, this gets replaced with a default surface at 0 elevation. I would suggest that there could be an option in the scene to turn this off, and ONLY display terrain where there are valid ground cells. Additionally the ability to mask out parts of the ground in the same way we can mask out integrated mesh layers would be very useful. This would let us use publicly available elevation services as ground, and remove the bits we don't need, replacing them with our BIM models. Thanks, Marc

Hi @SCourter Is there any way to override the geodesic calculations to use the projected coordinate system of the input data? The geodesic nature of the calculations and the resulting slight differences in the output from what is expected in the PCS is causing issues with our workflows. Example: In NZ the inner horizontal surface and conical surfaces are defined from the edge of the strip, not from the runway centerline. I can approximate this quite well by offsetting the runway to either side by half the strip width (eg. 280/2 = 140 either side). However all the ArcGIS editing tools work in planar coordinates, not geodesic, and so my new runway centerlines don't line up with the generated OIS runway strip edges. These issues just compound at greater distances, as I mentioned in my original post. Another example: say we want to generate labeled points showing distances from the end of the runway strip. This measures from the geometry, which uses the PCS: In my previous response I said 3.5m over 15km isn't enough to be concerned about, but given that there are going to be a bunch of little issues that potentially arise from it, I'm starting to think otherwise. Thanks, Marc

Hi @SCourter and @Koeller_Christine_A_-_DOT Of course you are both right, when measuring in geodesic I get the correct distance. We created this surface using Precision Approach Category I Code Number 3 4 I am interested to know what the standard approach for this sort of work is. We have traditionally built our surfaces in CAD, and I don't know if this has come up before. To be honest 3.5m across 15km isn't worth worrying about, however it is good to know this is the cause. Thanks for your help, Marc
