Hi there, We just upgraded from 11.3 to 11.5 and migrated our tileCache to object Store. Our WebGIS DR backups have gone from just over 8 hours to approximately 87 hours. Same data volume, same 3D content. 11.3 with Tile Cache: 2026-03-24 21:00:16 INFO [main] com.esri.arcgis.webgis.client.WebGISDR - Starting the WebGIS DR utility. 2026-03-25 05:13:39 INFO [main] com.esri.arcgis.webgis.client.WebGISDR - The WebGIS DR utility completed successfully. 11.5 With Object Store: 2026-03-29 19:32:30 INFO [main] com.esri.arcgis.webgis.client.WebGISDR - Starting the WebGIS DR utility. 2026-04-02 11:19:36 INFO [main] com.esri.arcgis.webgis.client.WebGISDR - The WebGIS DR utility completed successfully. Clearly this is untenable. It is a business risk as we cannot finish a backup over the weekend and having WebGIS DR running for half of the week is not ideal. @JonathanQuinn can we please get some information about when this might be improved. You just had Dev Summit, was it discussed there? Thanks, Marc

Hi, can you confirm this bug still exists in Enterprise 11.5 and that no patch has been released to address it? We just upgraded from 11.3 to 11.5 and an embedded Experience Builder app has begun displaying this behaviour. We need this to work, it must be patched. Thanks, Marc

Hi there, As per this question: https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-indoors-questions/why-does-the-quot-generate-floor-plans-from-point/m-p/1678899#M1232 The "Generate floor plans from point clouds" tool should support E57 files. These are often the default point cloud format that is captured by indoors scanners, and having to convert to LAS is an additional conversion step that takes time, adds complexity and requires additional storage space. In addition, please see this (at this time I cannot create an Idea in ArcGIS Pro, it keeps hanging, so my idea text is below) ArcGIS Pro idea that LAS datasets should support additional file format files as inputs, so point cloud processing tools will be more flexible. Thanks, Marc @JasonHineEsri ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ArcGIS Pro Idea: More file formats for las datasets Currently LAS datasets can support .las, .zlas and .laz. This is only a subset of available point cloud file formats. Another common format is E57 which is often generated from indoors scanners. LAS datasets should support additional point cloud formats, making them a more flexible container for feeding 3D point cloud data in tools that process this. Please see this question for additional context: https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-indoors-questions/why-does-the-quot-generate-floor-plans-from-point/m-p/1678899#M1232

Hi @KiyoshiYamashita Yes primarily for visualization in web scenes, but also as an output for clients to supplement the 3d surface deliverables. They like it as it provides an easier to interpret view of the heights of the surfaces. Cheers, Marc

Hi there, The output from the Generate OIS Intersection tool is geometrically fine, but the attributes leave a bit to be desired. It seems to have some odd summary of the input data in an OIS field, with a string that shows the input feature class and the OID of the input feature. Could you please include all attributes from the input features, or at least common ones like the names. I would suggest at a minimum that the input FC should be an attribute and the OID should be a separate attribute to allow joins back to the source data if required. Thanks, Marc

Hi there, We want to deploy an ArcGIS SharePoint page to every SharePoint project workspace that our project management system generates. To do so I want to also create a group, templated map and app in our Portal, then link the Portal map to the SharePoint map. This way our GIS specialists can add layers to the map in Portal and they will appear in the map in SharePoint. I don't think this is possible currently, but happy to be proven wrong. Alternatively a scripted tool that scans the layers in a portal map and adds them to the SharePoint map would work, but I do not know if there are any methods or ways to add layers to the SharePoint map programatically. Thanks, Marc

Thanks for the update about Overture. I might park this for a bit to give them time to sort it. The errors come at the very beginning of the notebook. This is in Pro 3.6 beta btw. If I comment out a few lines to just try and set the region I get the following similar error for the httpfs extension: I have googled and cannot find any reference to where it does not pull the latest version, and defaults to v0.0.0. Thanks, Marc

Hi @BruceHarold , Thanks for this. I am getting an error installing the DuckDB Extensions: I can't work out why it is trying to get the extension from v0.0.0 have you seen this and maybe know how to force a version? Thanks, Marc

Could be that they do not have permissions in their home org to join other orgs groups. There is a specific permission required:

This is a great idea. Having flexibility in symbology while still being able to take advantage of all features is a must.

Hi, with the announcements around Gaussian splat support in ArcGIS pro 3.6, can we please get an update on what file formats are supported, including industry standards such as ply and spz. i hope that ArcGIS pro will be interoperable with other reality model generation tools that are outside the Esri ecosystem. thanks, Marc

Hi, I have to say "Adding this functionality to Scene Viewer is in our backlog but not yet planned for a specific release." is pretty disappointing. ArcGIS Online was released in 2012. That's 13 years ago. To still not have simple support for line labelling in the platform's 3d viewer is unfortunate, to not even have it planned for release is outrageous. Surely basic functionality such as labels for standard GIS data types in your "premier" 3d gis viewer should be top of the list. To this question: "Could you please share any insights to your workflows or use cases you are trying to solve?" - we need to be able to label 3d contours for Airport Obstacle Limitation surfaces. I know we could generate points on the contours and label those, but that's additional layers and analysis to solve a problem that IMO shouldn't exist. Sorry for the rant and thanks, Marc
