The directory(file structure) I mean is your shared storage. Here is a tutorial on using mmc to view open files: https://community.spiceworks.com/how_to/116098-create-an-mmc-snapin-to-list-open-files-on-shares It does look like the process is hanging for you if there is zero size on \\shared-storage

The message you're receiving indicates that ArcGIS Server is already working on the directory (likely moving the config-store to that location). Are you seeing file sizes increase progressively on \\shared-storage? If you're convinced it's hanging - try stopping the ArcGIS Server, login to \\shared storage and look for any Open files in mmc (originating from ArcGIS Server) - delete the open files sessions and then start the ArcGIS Server service.

Hi Thomas, The server admin directory 'title' you see is the title of the Item (see table heading, Item Information). The REST services directory title you see is the title of the document used to publish the service. Very similarly named indeed. I've had a look around ArcGIS Pro and found that this information can be edited from Home -> Info -> Edit metadata Hope this helps! Aled

Hi Thomas, Most of this info can be edited from either ArcGIS Server manager: or from the ArcGIS Server admin directory: I believe the 'Author' field was originally set in ArcMap - not found a way to set that via ArcGIS Pro yet. If this has helped you please mark it as solved to help others find it 🙂 Cheers, Aled

If you head to Organisation > Settings > Servers - you should see a "administrator URL". Clicking the hyperlink on admin url will take you to your arcgis server manager. From here you can stop the services and release locks as necessary. To prevent this from being a problem in future it's possible to disable schema locking: Disable schema locking on a map service—ArcGIS Server | Documentation for ArcGIS Enterprise Please take into consideration the impact of this on editable datasets etc. Schema locks can be necessary 🙂

Hi James, I believe the spatial index is unique to each database location, if it detects a pre-built index, it is then dropped and recalculated: https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/tool-reference/data-management/add-spatial-index.htm If you're not seeing adequate performance; I would rebuild this manually by running the remove spatial index tool and then Add spatial index (with the default values). Let me know if this works!

Re: the analyze part - if you're trying to publish the tool and are met with that warning - I believe this is due to the Server not having access to the folder containing the web tool. I assume the WFS is referenced as a parameter for the tool (via URL).Try selecting "copy all data" when publishing via ArcGIS Pro - I think this will resolve your issue as the tool will be accessible to the server and then any supported WFS URLs can be used as an input parameter via WAB. The only way of registering the data source of a WFS I know of is via Trusted Servers in ArcGIS Enterprise security settings, although this is usually used for supporting secured OGC services via web tier authentication: https://enterprise.arcgis.com/en/portal/latest/administer/windows/configure-security.htm#ESRI_SECTION1_70CC159B3540440AB325BE5D89DBE94A

Hmm it seems to be a supported bit depth type - Bit depth capacity for raster dataset cells—Help | ArcGIS for Desktop (cant find a Pro equivalent) One to try (certainly not ideal), export the raster to a folder as your prefered format and then try adding the raster to the mosaic from a folder (not a geodatabase). Hi Jessica, As you say, it looks like the tool isn't recognizing your raster. If you go to your .gdb and right click your raster -> properties What are you seeing as the raster format? The boundary will be generated/updated when adding a raster to the mosaic dataset (by default). You just need to supply the tool with a input raster(s). Aled

Hi Jess, I'm assuming you're using ArcMap. In the Add Raster to Mosaic Dataset tool - I think you need to change your Input Data type to "Dataset" to find rasters within the .gdb. Once you've selected a raster it should be listed in the Source list If you're still having issues adding a raster: Go to the Geoprocessing menu -> Geoprocessing Options Uncheck "Enable" in the Background Processing section. Ensure that "Stay up if Error occurs" is checked. This will allow you to gather a conclusive error code on why the process is failing. If it's not a obvious error code, please post it back here to see if we can help you! A

In this scenario, I'd use the JavaScript API to develop the logic with a visual output on a small sample set and then extract the logic into a REST API application. It's a personal preference and the JavaScript API resources are great to get started on.

Sounds like you could use the ESRI JavaScript API to achieve this. Using similar code to this sample: https://codepen.io/pen?&editable=true&editors=100 You would just need to add some logic that returns a Boolean value on whether the viewshed graphic intersects another point. If you're uncomfortable using the API, you can start off exploring the ESRI labs: Get Started | ArcGIS for Developers Hope this helps

As a workaround: Head to your cached service within the cache directory i.e. *ArcGIS Server Dir*\directories\arcgiscache\*name of cached service*\Layers Open the layers folder Copy status.gdb to a accessible location for ArcGIS Pro. Ideally a folder that you already have a folder connection to (ArcMap/ArcGIS Pro will interpret the Layers folder above as a raster, you can't 'dig' into this) Open status.gdb using the catalogue pane. Drag CacheStatus into the TOC. Open attributetable. View cache status.
