@AubriOtis Aw yep, I see it now. I always edit text in the element pane, so I would have never found that. Also the tag I needed I guess was <NOLINK>, which I couldn't figure out either. Ex: <NOLINK>https://threeriversparks.link/TurtleFestEvent </NOLINK>

Recently learned that in ArcGIS Pro 3.5.2 when you type out a url in a layout text element, Pro will automatically: make it a link, change the color to blue, and underline. Of course this is standard practice for links and ESRI does have a documented workaround here (https://support.esri.com/en-us/knowledge-base/how-to-apply-different-colors-to-hyperlinked-text-in-ar-000033031), but it is still nuisance that there is not a simple way to remove the hyperlink especially since the documented workflow did not work for me. So my idea is that ESRI provide a "Remove Hyperlink" option when you right click on the text element like most text editors out there.

Our staff does, but I would never direct the public to use Field Maps to view one of our park maps on. We have web maps that people can access on their browser, but the simplicity of Avenza is what made it useful. No internet connection required, view your location, and PDF maps are easier for a user to navigate/read than a web map.

As Avenza was recently acquired, they will be pivoting the platform towards GIS professionals instead of the general public. They are not longer accepting updates to maps on the store and plan to eventually close the map store entirely. Avenza has been a great resource for Three Rivers Park District and many other entities to host geo-referenced PDFs for the public to purchase/use on their mobile devices with relative ease. What alternatives are people considering or are you planning to drop any geo-pdf offerings?

@Kalley_Swift the only workaround is deleting the service and re-publishing it under the same name with your new symbology or if your symbology change is simple using vector tile style editor to make a new vector layer. Kudo the Idea if you haven't to get ESRI's attention and if you'd like you can ask ESRI support to attach your org to this Enhancement request ENH-000182329. Best of luck, Brett

Idea: In ArcGIS Pro you are able to use Proportional symbology with units to make that symbol appear that size on the map. I would like to do the same thing in ArcGIS Online Map Viewer and connected apps like Field Maps/QuickCapture. Tests/Examples: Here is an example of what I want to do in ArcGIS Pro using a line with a field called TreatmentBuffer with a value of 20. Using Proportional symbols and setting units to US Feet I am able to make a symbol that is 20ft wide. This capability is not currently possible in ArcGIS Online even if you edit the web map via ArcGIS Pro. The closest thing in ArcGIS Online is using the symbology "Counts and Amounts" but there is no way to tie it to a unit of measure and there is also a width limit (in pts) for symbology in general that makes it hard to try to replicate the same visual. Use-Case: I have field staff that are driving vehicles with boom sprayers. I would like to setup a Field Map or QuickCapture map for them that captures what they are spraying and providing them a visual of what they have already sprayed on a tablet. This data will eventually need to become a polygon as well for record keeping. As the spraying takes place on either side of them while driving, collecting as a polygon does not work with them in the middle. My idea is to have them collect with a line that is symbolized to be the width of their spraying to be a visual indicator to the driver where they have sprayed then using buffers to create the polygon after the fact.

Idea: With vector tile layers that are connected to feature layers, I would like ESRI to provide the ability to update the symbology/content of those tiles to match the associated feature layer. If you make a symbology change to the feature layer by overwriting the service, there is currently no way to get the associated vector tiles to match that change. Below is how my analyst worded it in my Enhancement Request. It is specifically asking for the "Rebuild Cache" button to do what I'm requesting, which would be amazing. I'm asking for any solution to be able to update the symbology/content. Record#: ENH-000182329 Synopsis: Request for the ‘Rebuild Cache’ option for Vector Tile service to automatically update symbology changes made on the associated referenced feature service. What I've Tried: I have worked with ESRI support and they have determined that it is currently not possible to do what I am requesting. The feature to "Rebuild Cache" in the settings of the tile layer, will only update the tiles to match any changes in the data. It will not update a change to the symbology. I also noticed that the "Replace layer" option is missing from vector tiles that are connected to feature layers. VTSE symbology edits is not what I'm looking for, I realize I can make edits through that but I specifically want the symbology connected to the feature layer. Also some complex map changes is not going to be supported through VTSE, example below. Business Justification: Our organization is taking advantage of the extremely powerful "Referenced" vector tiles that you can publish to Portal for ArcGIS. I believe this idea is also relevant to "Hosted" vector tiles that have a connected feature layer which you can do in Portal and ArcGIS Online. The reason we love it so much is that we can have fast loading tiles that also update when we make changes to the data. We would love to completely replace most viewing services in web maps that don't use pop-ups to use these type of tiles. Without the ability to update the symbology, the ability to keep these tiles updated to what our organization needs is tedious as the only workflow currently is to the delete the service and replace it with a new one that uses the same name Example of the type of change I recently wanted to do: I have an existing published tile layer connected to a feature layer. In ArcGIS Pro, I changed the definition query of a layer, changed the color of that layer, and also removed a layer completely from the map. I then overwrite publish the service. This is the change I want to display in the tiles, it displays perfectly in the feature/map image layers. I’ve not found anything helpful for this online or with ESRI premium support. We are launching a new reservation software for the park district at the end of the month that has interactive webmaps, but their labels are not dynamic and the initial extent is based off the REST of the vector tile so initial extent starts you off showing our entire park system (several counties wide) so it is very zoomed out and every label is horribly stacked on top of each. We are working with the vendor to have their code modified to provide dynamic labels and be able to set the extent client side, but we aren't sure if they’ll be able to fix it by the time this whole system launches at the end of the month. So as a temporary solution, we’d like to have the initial extent start on a single park more zoomed in. Does anyone know of way (ESRI supported or not) to modify the initialExtent in the REST for either Vector or Raster tiles without changing the overall extent of the tiles? REST we sent Vendor: https://tiles.arcgis.com/tiles/nD1JmvAORRtTorXS/arcgis/rest/services/Summer_Basemap_20250429/VectorTileServer "initialExtent":{"xmin":-1.0493620790438743E7,"ymin":5537603.347470856,"xmax":-1.0322504371694421E7,"ymax":5689194.582256599,"spatialReference":{"wkid":102100,"latestWkid":3857} What I’ve tried so far: ArcGIS Pro Publishing (Map -> Share as web layer) Centered and zoomed in map on single park before publish No change Modified the extent of the map to only be boundary of the single park Only creates tiles for that park as expected Publish a raster tile Main publish failed, so trying this again. Publish to portal as a map image -> with raster tile caching Centers on park in map viewer from layer, but when accessed through REST it puts me in ocean. Looking more at this. ArcGIS Online modifications Downloaded our production tile’s vtpk file and modified the extent in a text editor, then re-add to arcgis online Corrupted the vtpk file Edited the bounding box extent in the metadata of a published tile layer (also tried doing it in vtpk before a publish) Fixes the initial extent when opening the main layer in an AGO web map but does nothing to the REST or the vendor’s map. Open service in admin REST and attempt to edit service json Got it to say it was successfully saved, but the json never changed in the REST and there was no change when testing in maps. Trying this more with REST API and Portal vs. AGO

Adding my voice to this idea as it seems so odd that there is still no ability for Non-ArcGIS Pro users to create/upload a layer that is not Web Mercator. A lot of organizations just use ArcGIS Online but their clients request that data is captured in a certain coordinate system. They are unable to do this without ArcGIS Pro or without the workflow that @VHolubec describes. At the very least ESRI should make it so if you upload a file that you can choose to keep it in the coordinate system it is in.
