Adding a CAD file to Pro also exhibits this behavior. I would very much like to see CAD files added to the TOC as a single group layer. Currently over 20+ layers are added and are a challenge to manage. There is precedence for this. Feature services, for example, are added as a single group layer.

I'd like to see the "double click map frame to activate" return as well. That was highly intuitive in ArcMap.

I can also now confirm the data displays correctly in Field Maps. 🤔

Brett: Thanks for the response. So the behavior I described has now been confirmed on two Android 10 devices and and a iOS 14.4 iPad. Oddly enough, when opening the map in Collector Classic, it correctly displays the main Hydrant layer. If I don't hear any other tips, I may submit a support ticket. Thanks again.

I have created a web map in ArcGIS Online for hydrant maintenance activities. The map uses a hydrant layer, the first layer shown below, displayed by a "Flushing Complete" field with values of "Yes", "No" or "Followup Complete". There is currently no filter applied to this layer. The subsequent layers display hydrants from the same Feature Layer but using a filter to display hydrants that need maintenance, pumping or painting. These filters are a simple "Yes" flag for the respective fields. All works well in AGOL as shown below. When users view this map in ArcGIS Collector or Field Maps (I've only tested on Android, in my case I'm running it on a Samsung S10+), the unfiltered layer of all hydrants does not display correctly as shown below. It seems as though it is applying the filter from the "Hydrant Needs Painting" layer. Very odd behavior, has anyone seen this and if so, any insights into correcting it? Thanks!

So in my app, I'm actually using both. It starts with the Editor widget where my feature templates are shown. In this case the feature layer is stored in AGOL: Once a user selects a feature template and clicks on the map, the FeatureForm is then displayed, see below. In my sample, I'm actually grabbing elevation from a DEM to prepopulate the FeatureForm for the user. That's the code in the 2nd screenshot in the previous reply. Hope that helps.

You're on the right path. You want to create a Feature Form, such as this: Then in the Edit widget, when the user selects a template to create a new feature, I used the "click" event to populate the default values, see below. My code is just an extension of the sample referenced in the original post.

Yes, same thing happens. I’ve also had multiple users across my company see the same behavior.

Sorry for the confusion, let me restate. I have two computers in my office, a laptop and a desktop, both are on our network and pointing to a license server which is neither of my computers. We have 1 license of Advanced, so I opened ArcGIS on my desktop thereby consuming our one Advanced license. As you suggested I then tried to open ArcCatalog, this was on my laptop. As I stated, I got a quick splash screen and no warning. In other words, it exhibited the same behavior as has been seen with ArcMap.

I actually had a similar question and discovered through the Update FeatureLayer using applyEdits() sample that when a new feature is created you can set attribute values which then are populated in the FeatureForm. I have extended this sample to much success for my needs which included populating lat/lon & elevation for new points.

I tried Amnoy's suggestion, to no luck. I opened our one Advanced license on my desktop, then tried ArcCatalog from my laptop and same behavior. Splash screen showed for a few seconds, then disappeared with no warning or message.

I'm working with the Editor Widget in JavaScript 4.13. Is there an event that captures when a user clicks to add a new feature? The view on "click" event does not fire when user clicks to add new feature. My end goal is to use the point of the newly created feature in order to grab a value from an underlying feature in another layer to populate an attribute in my new point. Is this even possible with the Editor Widget? Thanks.

We are running ArcGIS Desktop 10.7.1 and License Manager 2019.0. Following the upgrade, we have noticed that if a user attempts to open Desktop and there is not an available license, they do not receive any sort of warning. The splash screen appears for a second, then disappears. That's it. In the past, it would indicate that there were no [Advanced, Standard] licenses available in which case the user could at least temporarily switch to Basic or check with other folks to free up a license. Has anyone had similar experiences?

My screenshot above was from: Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Windows Update\View update history Yet when I went to Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Program and Features\Installed Updates, there were two updates installed yesterday under .NET Framework 4.7.1. One was KB4055002, the other KB4054852. I tried KB4055002 first and it worked.

Thanks for the tip, George. I rolled back KB4055002 and now it's running again. May drop a line to support if this is a true conflict.
