Please submit support request with Esri Support if Operations Dashboard for ArcGIS app crashes with any workflow so that you can work with Support analyst to further troubleshoot the issue. Appears everyone on thread is running supported Operating System listed in System Requirements; confirm Microsoft .NET Framework v4.5 was installed using Administrative privileges or 'Run As Administrator' command? Does Windows machine satisfy minimum Hardware Requirements? Check CPU Speed, Processor, Memory/RAM & Video Graphics Adapter to start. Run Microsoft Utility to check processor details (use 'Run As Administrator' option on Windows 7 machines). Provide this information when you work with Support analyst. Thanks, Denise

Did those of you looking at Centrafuse Localizer notice the known limitations of the Windows 8 GNSS to Com Port tool? Limitations: The number of active satellites and signal strength is simulated. It DOES NOT represent the quality of the actual GPS/GNSS signal and is provided for protocol compatibility only. The Windows location platform is limited to a 1Hz refresh rate (once a second). At higher rates of speed, the displayed map position may lag behind the actual vehicle position. Under NO circumstances should this product be used for precision navigation. It is provided "as-is", and intended for recreational use only. No warranty is given or implied as to the accuracy or availability of location information. I can't imagine users utilizing ArcPad or ArcGIS for Windows Mobile for GPS data collection in the field that satellite simulation is an acceptable solution. Many organizations have GPS/GNSS requirements of acceptable PDOP, HDOP or other quality parameters and Centrafuse Localizer isn't able to provide these. Regards, Denise I'm just wondering if anybody tried to use this product? Centrafuse Localizer http://www.centrafuse.com/centrafuse-localizer

Henrik, would you be willing to share your data model with Mobile Team to investigate this further? Please email dking@esri.com. Thank you, Denise Hi aelliso and thanks, but...... It doesn't look like my problem.....I'm not using the Mobile with a server, but are moving the packages/project directly from ArcMap to ProjectCenter to Mobile Tablet with a USB-drive. And my problem are ONLY on polygons-layer.....NOT with polylines or points and EVERYTHING work fine in all other versions except the 10.1.1 So for me it looks like a bug with subtypes/domains when 10.1.1 tries to "call this function" in polygons....because it works if i change the FC back to "standard FCSubtype" without any subtypes (but I can still choice the subtypes under the attributes, so it's only when I use subtypes as "display/symbology" for an easier user GUI in Mobile the problem occurs).

Here's link to Forums FAQ: How do I search for something? To quickly find a thread or post of interest anywhere on the bulletin board, click on the 'Search' link in the navigation bar at the top of most forum pages. Then, type in the keyword or phrase you wish to search for, and select either 'Show Threads' or 'Show Posts' to view the results. By selecting posts, you will be shown only the actual post in which the search word appears. For more control over the search, select 'Advanced Search' from the drop-down box. The advanced search page allows you to restrict your search to individual forums, find posts or threads by user, or return results based on tags (?). There are also options to find posts from a certain date, or threads with a certain number of replies. How do I search a specific forum or thread? If you are browsing a forum, you can quickly search for a thread or post within it by clicking on the 'Search this forum' link near the top of the page (it's above the list of threads). You can also search for individual posts within a thread by clicking on the 'Search this Thread' link at the top of any thread view page. Cheers, Denise

Jerry, No, Operations Dashboard for ArcGIS application is not supported on Windows XP OS and as you found, this is because Microsoft .NET 4.5 Framework isn't supported on Windows XP machines. Review Supported operating systems for additional information on operating systems that are supported with Operations Dashboard for ArcGIS application. Thanks, Denise

All, Can you provide additional details regarding time values seen in ArcGIS Online versus Operations Dashboard for ArcGIS? Are you seeing difference between the time zone data was collected and UTC time zone? Likely the difference is from offset to Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) time zone. Web browsers convert the date/time to local time. See ArcGIS.com Help topic on troubleshooting 'The date and time in a pop-up window do not match the date and time in the underlying data' - http://resources.arcgis.com/en/help/arcgisonline/index.html#//010q00000007000000 If this is behavior you are encountering than suggest you vote on current enhancement request on ArcGIS Ideas - Option to not use UTC time offset in ArcGIS Online - http://ideas.arcgis.com/ideaView?id=087E00000004SlJIAU. If this isn't the behavior, then please provide specific scenario so we can further troubleshoot the issue with you. Cheers, Denise

Nicolas - the StreetMap Premium for ArcGIS for Windows Mobile downloads are back up on Customer Care Portal. For latest post question "I cannot have a licence of StreetMap for Windows Mobile if I only purchase ArcGIS for Windows Mobile license assuming that I already have a ArcGIS Desktop." this statement isn't correct. Every purchase (license) of ArcGIS for Desktop automatically includes single license for ArcGIS for Windows Mobile AND single license of ArcGIS for Windows Mobile is entitled to download or request DVD of StreetMap Premium for ArcGIS for Windows Mobile via Customer Care Portal. 🙂 In Denise-speak, every Desktop license comes with ArcGIS for Windows Mobile & StreetMap data at no additional cost; just separate downloads. (StreetMap data: StreetMap Premium for ArcGIS for Windows Mobile (fka StreetMap for Windows Mobile). Please let me know if you have any questions, Denise

Nicolas, Yes, StreetMap Premium for ArcGIS for Windows Mobile is included with your ArcGIS for Desktop or Sever license; see NOTE below for StreetMap entitlements. At ArcGIS for Windows Mobile 3.1 release, StreetMap Premium for ArcGIS for Windows Mobile was listed as separate download in Customer Care Portal > Software Downloads > Download Now tab; however noticed StreetMap Premium for ArcGIS for Windows Mobile isn't listed currently. An alternative method to obtain StreetMap Premium for ArcGIS for Windows Mobile is to request backup media DVD via Customer Care Portal > Software Downloads > Request Backup Media tab. AGWM 3.1 AGWM 10.1.1 I'll look into this further and update Forums post after learning how customers obtain StreetMap Premium for ArcGIS for Windows Mobile data for ArcGIS for Windows Mobile 10.1.1 release. Thank you for bringing this to our attention, Denise Note: Single license of StreetMap for Windows Mobile comes with each included ArcGIS for Windows Mobile license with the purchase of ArcGIS for Desktop. For ArcGIS for Server Enterprise Advanced licenses, 100 StreetMap for Windows Mobile licenses are included. Additional licenses can be purchased in bundles of five or fifty.

All, Your ArcGIS for Windows Mobile (AGWM) workflows were not specific but did mention photo and attachments and wanted to make you aware that geodatabase attachments were introduced at AGWM 3.0 replacing raster fields for photo attachments, as well as added support for attchments to Mobile Tools toolbox, and syncronization of features & attachments through a mobile map service or check in field edits through the Synchronize Mobile Cache Tool. http://resources.arcgis.com/en/help/windows-mobile/3.0/#/What_s_new_in_ArcGIS_for_Windows_Mobile/007v00000024000000/ Please see ArcGIS Help 10.1 resources for more details regarding enabling attachments, http://resources.arcgis.com/en/help/main/10.1/index.html#//01m90000000r000000. Miguel, Do you mean you are using ArcGIS for Windows Mobile v10.1.1? Please confirm version & build of ArcGIS for Windows Mobile installed (from ArcGIS Mobile > About option). What version & build of ArcGIS for Desktop installed (in ArcMap or ArcCatalog, from Help menu > About). Doesn't appear v10.1.1 MobileCacheTool sample is currently available, once it is it will be uploaded to Gallery with the other versions, http://www.arcgis.com/home/search.html?q=mobile%20cache%20shapefile&t=content. Everyone, Again, I return to Help documentation for all Esri software which states GPS connections require COM port to read and parse NMEA sentences from GPS receiver in ArcPad, ArcGIS for Windows Mobile and ArcMap's GPS Toolbar. However, I do encourage customers to POST the enhancement on ArcGIS Ideas site under Products category Mobile GIS > ArcPad. The ArcGIS Ideas is a submission portal which lets our customers get involved. You can suggest new products, promote favorite enhancements and interact with ESRI Teams. Or if already posted, VOTE for it and same for customers using ArcGIS for Windows Mobile and ArcMap's GPS Toolbar. Good luck, Denise

Alan, Did you modify any parameters in Advanced Serial Port Parameters dialog? Since this isn't standard COM port connection of typical GPS receiver? You may need to research more of the particular GPS Sensor included with your Microsoft Surface Pro tablet and determine specific communicating settings and whether modifications to these parameters make this work within ArcPad. I just do not know; still do not know how one customer could get GPS sentences, satellites & positions to display in GpsGate app but we couldn't get same to work within ArcPad once we set up connection. I've been working with Microsoft Support as we're trying to purchase Microsoft Surface Pro Windows 8 OS Pro with internal GPS w/Ports (COM & LPT) for Support usage yet no models have technical specs meeting our requirements; again only Sensors option. Additionally, Microsoft Support informed me it wasn't a purchase option even at factory level. We will purchase the model available as we do have need to support customers using other Esri applications without GPS functionality; surprised only Sensor & Mobile Broadband option. Note any future support of GPS Sensors in Windows 8 Pro OS tablets for Esri's Mobile GIS software will only be after research, testing and inclusion by ArcGIS Runtime SDK Teams for each GPS/Mobile GIS application; support would then filter down to ready to deploy apps including ArcPad, ArcGIS for Windows Mobile, and ArcMap w/GPS Toolbar. Again, I must return to Help documentation for all Esri software which states GPS connections require COM port to read and parse NMEA sentences from GPS receiver in ArcPad, ArcGIS for Windows Mobile and ArcMap's GPS Toolbar. @Denise. Can you confirm that the GPS works with the Lenovo device and provide the model#, details, a link to the manufacturer's website, etc. Is the Sierra Wireless some type of external USB GPS you plug in or actually part of the tablet? Thanks. Was ordered through Esri Purchasing so no idea but used tech specs from Lenovo site directly & then specifically requested model w/internal GPS receiver & mobile broadband modem to support Esri's Mobile GIS software applications (ArcPad, ArcGIS for Windows Mobile, ArcMap using GPS Toolbar, ArcGIS Engine w/custom GPS library objects & multiple ArcGIS Runtime SDKs). Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet 2 Machine Type Model 3682-2AU Serial# R9WN1VT In one of my posts above, I compare 2 Lenovo tablets we received: 1 w/GPS & 1 w/Sensors only. We easily connect w/GPS but cannot w/Sensors & this is because Esri's Mobile GIS software requires COM port to connect to GPS functionality and doesn't support the Sensors at this time available with new Windows 8 OS tablets.
