There are 3 separate components that install during the 'Install SQLce for Windows Mobile' procedure. After each SQLce component is installed, the mobile device is rebooted to continue with the installation process. * Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Compact Edition - Core * Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Compact Edition - Replica * Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Compact Edition - Dev I recommend re-deploying the SQLce components to your mobile device through ArcPad Deployment Manager. Cheers, Denise

Please confirm Data Interoperability 10 extension was installed AFTER installing ArcGIS Desktop 10. Have you installed Data Interop 10 SP1 as well? Data Interoperability Extension for ArcGIS 10 must be installed BEFORE you can install Service Pack 1. http://resources.arcgis.com/content/patches-and-service-packs?fa=viewPatch&PID=83&MetaID=1721 Thanks, Denise

Hi Robert, The Create Mobile Map tool does support both vector and raster layers from the input map document (.mxd). The output folder must exist prior to running the Create Mobile Map tool yet it doesn't appear populated in your screenshot. Please test if this resolves the error. Cheers, Denise

Hi Matt, What StreetMap data is used? Esri works with two data vendors, Navteq and Tele Atlas. Have you registered the data license (.sdlic)? Does the .sdlic file correspond to title of StreetMap data (DVD)? Sample .sdlic file: tana_2009.2_us_all_10_31_10.sdlic is Tele Atlas North America 2009 Release 2, US All (geocoding, mapping, routing functionalities) licensed until 10-31-2010. The title of the StreetMap DVD needs to match the .sdlic file provided, if not please contact Customer Service at 1-888-377-4575 to obtain correct .sdlic file. If .sdlic file lists 'geo' instead of 'all' or 'map' then you have a 'geocoding' license only and will not see actual street data as one would with .sdlic file which lists 'map' or 'rou' capabilities. Yet you will have full geocoding functionality with the data. If you should need further assistance, please log Support incident via Phone, Webform, Email, or Chat [http://support.esri.com/] so we can help to troubleshoot this issue. Regards, Denise

You might be encountering a known limit with ArcPad 10 on Trimble Juno units. It is CQ00311800; ArcPad Camera: Photo preview and capture on Juno SC is 'grainy'. Currently there is no option to change the default image size. This is a known limit of Trimble Juno support for the DirectShow API used by ArcPad Camera. The option is greyed out because only one resolution is available through DirectShow. To achieve higher picture resolution customer should use the Windows Mobile Camera extension which will allow full control of the picture resolution. Regards, Denise

Hi Kenneth, Your data will need to be in File Geodatabase format and have GlobalID field to be editable in the field. A great resource for ArcGIS Mobile 10 users is ArcGIS Resource Center and ArcGIS Mobile videos. I recommend the first 3 in the list, http://resources.arcgis.com/gallery/video/arcgis-mobile. Using ArcGIS Mobile with ArcGIS Desktop How to Create a Mobile Project What is Mobile Project Center A helpful document is the 'How to design and create mobile maps using ArcGIS Desktop' which should help you get started in this process, http://help.arcgis.com/en/arcgismobile/10.0/help/index.html#/How_to_design_and_create_mobile_maps_using_ArcGIS_Desktop/007v00000006000000/. Hi Travis, Couple of questions. Can you add the .sid file into a blank ArcPad map? Is MrSID extension turned on in ArcPad > Options > Advanced Settings > Extensions? Does the .sid file display Projection information in Map Properties > Projection? Does the .sid file have same projection as ArcPad map document (.apm)? Does behavior occur with multiple .sid files? Please let us know if any of the above is helpful or if you need further assistance. If you have current ArcPad maintenance, please feel free to submit your question using Esri Support site links for phone, email, webform, or chat http://support.esri.com/en to help troubleshoot this issue. Please include ArcPad version, service pack or build information and provide screenshots of errors or dialogs which illustrate behavior you are reporting. Thanks, Denise

Ben, Currently, ArcPad is not being developed for the new Windows Phone operating system (Windows Phone 7 OS). ArcPad will continue to be developed for Windows and Windows Mobile operating systems including Windows Mobile 6.0, 6.1 and 6.5 OS. Esri has developed a Mobile GIS solution for Windows Phone platform, ArcGIS for Windows Phone. Please visit the site for more information, http://help.arcgis.com/en/arcgismobile/10.0/apis/windowsphone/. Thanks, Denise

Yes, you will need to purchase ArcLogistics Navigator 9.3.1 or later in order to obtain license and integrate the logistics-tuned GPS guidance to your field workforce using ArcGIS Mobile (or ArcPad). Also, Navigation Extension sample requires Visual Studio 2008 SP1 and .NET Framework 3.5 SP1. Please contact your local Esri Representative for pricing information of ArcLogistics Navigator, http://www.esri.com/software/arclogistics-navigator/index.html. Thanks, Denise
