Hi Tim, Can you reproduce the behavior when exporting from Riverside (ArcMap 10).mxd (ArcPad > Samples)? My attempt to create ZIP and CAB during export process works as expected. Did you upgrade to ArcGIS 10 and ArcPad 10 from previous version or is this a clean install? If you are current on ArcPad maintenance, I recommend you log a support request with Esri Support so you can work with an ArcPad specialist to help resolve this challenge. Cheers, Denise

Hi Jessie, If you are current in ArcPad maintenance, I recommend you log this unique challenge with Esri Support. We now have phone, email, webform, and chat options to speak with ArcPad analysts. Will likely need a small sample of the data to troubleshoot and help diagnose the issue. Cheers, Denise

Hi Peter, It was suggested that you make sure FME is not extending ArcGIS, the integration console controls this. Cheers, Denise

Hi Yashwant, I have had some success minimizing ArcPad on Windows Mobile units by simply tapping the Start or Windows icon above ArcPad window; I am also able to minimize ArcPad and go to main screen by pushing the Windows button. On Windows Mobile OS units, you can only switch to another application via the Today screen or through the use of third-party application switchers; some users have told me they use WkTASK but please search the Internet as Esri doesn't recommend or endorse any of these applications and other users are your best resource. This is a great topic for ArcGIS Ideas site and I encourage you to submit it under ArcPad product. Cheers, Denise

Hi Glenn, ArcPad Studio documentation is accessed from within the application itself via ArcPad Studio Help menu > Help > Customizing ArcPad. ArcPad Studio Help includes tutorials, developer samples, and instructions how to customize ArcPad Forms, Toolbars, etc. Improvements to ArcPad Studio documentation are in the works, including making it an online resource. You can also access the Object Model Diagram for ArcPad Studio Help menu. Currently, most examples are VBScript yet there is existing enhancement, CQ00312829; Provide python code samples for ArcPad Geoprocessing tools in the ArcPad Help documentation. This CQ is currently under consideration by ArcPad team for implementing in future release of ArcPad. Please contact Esri Support and ask that you be added to CQ00312829 and you will be able to track the status of this and other CQs/NIMs you are linked with via 'My Support' option on Esri Support site. Cheers, Denise

Hi Veha, We would need more information to help you work through this challenge. What Sony Ericsson Windows Mobile phone do you have? It is helpful if you can provide the URL to the specifications sheet for the device. Have you configured the GPS Settings on the device via Start > Settings > System > External GPS? Under Program tab, what is the GPS program port listed? Under Hardware tab, what is GPS hardware port? Baud rate? Under Access tab, is the checkbox for 'Manage GPS automatically' checked? Are you able to use the GPS functionality in any other application? What COM port and Baud Rate does that application use? If you are current on ArcPad maintenance, please consider submitting a support request so that you can speak with an analyst who can help you troubleshoot this issue further. You can submit support requests via phone, email, webform, and chat options on Esri Support site. Cheers, Denise

Hi Lucasz, You can use the Find GPS utility in ArcPad to determine the correct COM port, baud rate, etc for the GPS receiver you are using. After opening ArcPad on the AshTech MobileMapper 100 device, select Options from Main toolbar > select GPS Preferences to open GPS Preferences dialog window. In ArcPad GPS Preferences, use the Find GPS functionality (search or ??binoculars? button) to search for the right COM port and baud for your GPS receiver. You need to make sure that your GPS is connected and turned on so the Find GPS tool can detect your GPS. The Port and Baud dropdown lists will be updated as the Find GPS tool searches for a connected GPS. Once a GPS has been detected you will be prompted to choose the GPS and use the corresponding settings. I believe the correct settings for the MobileMapper 100 when using NMEA is COM2 and 9600 Baud. Another helpful resource is the MobileMapper 100 and ArcPad 10 configuration note from Ashtech. I have included it below for your convenience. ftp://ftp.ashtech.com/Mobile%20Mapping/MobileMapper%20100/Applications%20notes/MobileMapper%20100%20&%20ArcPad%2010.pdf Enjoy ArcPad! Denise
