WOW! @DavidPike this is great. This is exactly what I was trying to accomplish, and you have verified that I was never going to get there myself, lol. I appreciate your time and insight on this - I'll certainly be using this to unpack and help teach myself. So helpful!

Hi David - thank you for that link. Works great when I use it as is! Wondering if you had any advice as to how to use it with my custom expressions? I'm having trouble applying that to the below example. I am trying to get each label to display the time minus x hours from NOW. I'd like the below result to read "2" or "2PM" not "14" Concatenate("1 Hour Later: Current Hour is: " , Hour(Now())+1) Result 1 Hour Later: Current Hour is: 14

Hoping this is the correct place - New to Arcade. Trying to get the Hour in a 12 hour clock format to return for a label and pop up. Currently showing the time in different time zone polygons. But I'm getting the 24 hour time since I am using the Hour() function. Any advise to make this --> Hour(Now())-1 read in 12 hours instead when I add in a custom expression to the pop-up. ?

Hi @Anonymous User - thanks for your detailed inquiry seeking more requirements. This is what I can provide, hope it helps the ESRI team develop a solution. My experience tells me that the simpler the better, but you folks are the ones to design and implement so I'll leave that to the pros. The requirement we are in need of satisfying for the state historic preservation offices in re: to Section 106 consultation is to display the date and time of the photo. I was thinking it would be best to leave that to the technology and add automatically since our users will only have field user licenses. To add my .02 to your other questions: Applying date/time can't require an elevated user license type. These are field users who will be using apps and print widgets to create maps and reports. No formatting - I'd recommend two options for text color. Back & White. - again, simple is best. I would default to bottom right. Allowing each corner as an option would be thoughtful. font... IDK something small like we used to see when we used point and click digital cameras. Again, I would think only 1 - 2 options would be best. Personally, I wouldn't want it to change with photo size. the font size should set that? Our requirement is to show a map of each photo location as well as the direction the photo is facing. so perhaps the Azimuth woudl be useful. Perhaps coordinates may be needed by others but not in our use case. Thank you for engaging with me on these requirement over the forum pages. I appreciate your interest in supporting my organization and all our users and client. Cheers

@Anonymous User - any chance you can provide a link to the road map documentation? Trying to understand how long the road is before this is going to be released.

@DougBrowning Thank you for your response as well, I appreciate the different views that fellow users have. I will have to research 3rd party apps for iOS and Andriod (mixed env. here), and I'm thinking this solution is going to be too much to support for our 100 users and I'll be better off waiting for this to be implemented or see if S123 will help even though we are doing map driven collection.

@Anonymous User Thank you for your response, although I'll admit I'm sad that this is still only on a road map after moving from Collector. I will give your solution a try and see if it will work. I'm guessing that because python is needed that our standard field user will not be able to accomplish the watermark themselves and would need an analyst to support.

We are trying to implement Field Maps (well, we started with collector, but I see it's being depreciated) to assist with photo location mapping. A requirement is that the photo log must display time stamped photos. We can do everything else needed with the app, just need this time stamp piece.

Oh NO!! is this really not implemented yet? State Historic Preservation Offices require a time and date stamp on all photos for consulting parties during the Section 106 process. This is a must or we can't use collector...

@Pål_Herman_Sund Thank you for your insights, not really what I needed though. I understand how to create these analysis results, I'm more interested in how they are being derived within Earth. It's kind of a black box. @Anonymous User Thanks for your reply. Can you help me unpack it a bit more? using this statement "If you don't add any data, the analysis will be based on default terrain" against the visual display below it, I am again left confused. If you are using the default terrain data (Does not include surface features like buildings if I am correct?) How are you able to show that the built environment (buildings) is visible or not, or that the structures will cast "shadows" behind them providing a visibility screen? I guess I'm stuck on the visual example shown in the documentation vs. using the out of the box feature of terrain.

Looking at the results from ArcGIS Earth's interactive tool set, specifically the Viewshed. Left confused. We run Viewshed models frequently within Pro, sourced from a variety of Lidar. As you would expect, we get a fairly robust DSM from the lidar which allows us to see the way trees, structures etc will effect the view towards a tower, for example. Looking at this tool in Earth, I am seeing that the input surface service is an ESRI surface https://elevation3d.arcgis.com/arcgis/rest/services/WorldElevation3D/Terrain3D/ImageServer Unless I'm mistaken(most likely the case!!), this would only provide a ground surface value and not anything above the ground? And if that is a correct statement, then I'm confused as to how the Viewshed example in this document https://doc.arcgis.com/en/arcgis-earth/use/interactive-analysis.htm is able to provide a result which seems to include the features above the ground in the analysis. Anyone able to help clarify this for me?
