I believe integer fields have a 9 character length limit to them. You also may need to try masking your integer field values. My integer fields stopped working upon downloading a newer release of Survey. I had to republish ones that previously worked using body::esri:inputMask for my integer values.

I hope this enhancement is still being considered. I run a process every week to rename photos. Since using Survey I have had to rename thousands of pictures collected through the app. Data driven naming would still be a useful time saver. Brita, if you are looking for software to assist in renaming exported files, I use Advanced Renamer. It's fast, cheap, easy to use, and has worked out well for us.

You wont see the default ESRI maps in the Maps folder that you load your .tpk files to, something like "C:\Users\UserName\ArcGIS\My Surveys\Maps". Once your tpk is in here it should then appear in Survey Connect Settings where you can select your default base map "Settings\Map\Default Map Type". Once you change the default map, the INFO file within your survey design folder will update accordingly and this will become your default map when the survey gets published.

James, The masking does not seem to function as indicated by the table. "0" reacts the same way "9" does, only permitting a specific number of input characters, "0000" for exactly/only a 4 digit number. "0" is also stored as a text value if more than one is used. Converting "0000" to number changes it back to a single "0", which does not work. I tried "n" and "x" and "#" as well with the same results (only works when the number matches exactly the number of input characters. Example: value "8200", inputMask "9999","nnnn", or "xxxxx" work (add 1 "x" for the comma). If my formula is shorter than "nnn" for "8200", the last 0 gets cut off. If it is longer, "99999", the program returns "Invalid Integer" error.

How do you account for variation in attribute length? So a mask of "9999" works for a 4 digit number, but if the values in this field vary up to say 6 digits, this will not work for a 5 or 6 digit number. That goes the other way as well, so a "999999" mask will work for a 6 digit number, but will not work when entering only a 4 digit number. What is the correct format for different length values into an integer field when having to use inputMask?

Only change was to the input mask. Does the length matter if the field values vary? 123 vs 123456 - should the mask be maxed out to # of allowable place holders of an integer field in the database? My best guess to the crashing would be integer fields using pulldata function from .csv files in the media folder. Survey Connect crashed multiple times, so I created a new survey from my existing excel file. It seemed to work initially. Then I copied my tables over to the media folder, and on refreshing survey connect, it began crashing again. These tables have not changed and have been working in my surveys & previous Survey123 versions for over a year. I'm pulling log files from our field crews mobile phones and will send those over to the thread you posted above.

I tried that and while the masking seems to fix the invalid integer error, I'm now having other problems. From a field phone, we were able to submit 1 survey and thought the issue had been fixed. On the 2nd survey, the app crashes. Now it crashes every time we try to open Survey. I went back into Survey Connect to look at it, and now Survey Connect on my desktop crashes every time I try to open it.

I'm having a similar issue since downloading Survey123 version 3.2.265. My surveys (that were working fine) now return an 'Invalid integer value' error that prevents completed surveys from being submitted. The application is reformatting my integer fields to include commas that previously did not exist. Is this due to the same issue mentioned above? I am not setting any field length or field type parameters. I do use pulldata function on some integer fields and default values on others (again, all were working in previous versions). Is there a way to get rid of the commas?

I think this error is coming back around in the latest released version of Survey ( I believe it is 3.2.265). Our field crews downloaded the newest Survey123 app on their mobile phones from the play store (Using Galaxy S8) and now the existing surveys return error "Invalid Integer Value" when trying to submit a survey. I noticed my integer fields are now displaying values with commas (they were not previously). We have been collecting on the same mobile devices with the same surveys for months - all working fine until the Jan 31 2019 upgrade. Is there a work-around or new setting that I need to be aware of within Survey mobile app to correct this issue? Nobody that has downloaded the new version has been able to submit any surveys since doing so. I saw Brandon Armstrong comments about using text fields, but my survey is already published and I can't go back and make that change at this point.

I think he was referring to the ability just to search a csv file via the pulldata function. As far as I know the ability to pre-populate select_one fields from a .csv (using pulldata with a select_one field) has not been made available.

Same issue here exporting a series of mxds to pdf containing data driven pages. I had a script that worked great in 10.5. Now on 10.6 they dont work at all. Interestingly, if I copy the same script over to our ArcGIS server (also with 10.6 and Python 2.7.14) and run through task manager, everything works again. On Desktop I get 8 pages of the first mxd map series exported out as my temp.pdf before the crash. I published a hosted feature service layer. I'm the admin on our AGOL account. I made a web map using my point layer (editing works in map). I created a web app using my map. The app, map, and feature layer are all shared with my group that I also created. Feature layer editing is turned on. Within the web app, I cannot edit features. I tried "Smart Editor" widget and it says no layers are available to edit. I tried "Edit" widget, and it tells me my account does not have permissions to modify data. Is there another widget for moving points around? I saw in other blogs to try things like clearing filters and resetting symbology to just basic locations (annoying that would break it), and I tried that in my map and it still does not work in the app. I also verified there are no Z values on this layer. The whole purpose of this app is to move points around. This should be very simple, except its not.

This post began in January 2016. Its now January 2019 and still no resolution to this? ESRI if you are out there, not being able to edit features is kind of a big problem! I'm having same issues. Cant move point features using the editing tools in my app. I have an editable feature service layer. No M values. Loaded into a web map I used to create a web app. Within the app, I cant move geometry. Tried edit and smart edit widgets. Feature layer settings are set to edit, layer shared, etc. Seems like an issue with bad outdated editing widgets that don't work.
