Alright. I surrender. I've spent the last 45 minutes searching for Parcel editing tools so I can migrate my Parcel file into the LGIM. EVERY SINGLE TOOL I FIND has links that lead me to pages that say, "You do not have sufficient permission to view this resource." Where are the MXD files that allow you to migrate your Parcel data to LGIM???

What SQL conditions does the sublayer definitionexpression recognize? In the listed question they use a definition expression in the XML. I had NO idea you could do this. THAT IS AMAZING! <layer label="WastePoints" type="feature" visible="true" alpha="0.3" definitionexpression="PHOTOS LIKE '%100D63_01.jpg'" url="http://gis01.wch-rcc.com/ArcGIS/rest/services/rkz/waste_images/MapServer/0"/> THIS is what I was trying to get to. I have a layer that uses categories in the MXD. When it comes over to the Flex map I need to BASICALLY allow the end user to ONLY see each Catetgory... a definition expression makes this possible.

I know I've done this before but I'm drawing a blank (it's Friday, I have more excuses if you need!). I have a layer, let's say it's the Council District layer. In a Flex / Javascript web map is there some way where I can show JUST COUNCIL DISTRICT #1? I feel like I set a setting on the XML in a Flex map once to only display a specific subset of a layer from the MXD? And I feel like this is something I saw in Javascript training for the Web App Builder. But I'm drawing blanks... any suggestions / answers?

I actually tried something that like. I was using "TRIM" in front of Value thinking that the user entry was padded maybe. and I researched someway to cast that variable to a date, I hadn't found the simple "DATE" command. I am completely grateful, I get to add that field back in, but I have to ask. HOW. Is this just DB experience, Flex experience, ArcGIS experience, or what? I would like to know how you got to that answer. If only so I can quit asking questions like this and just get to map making! lol Thanks again...

I had already tried that and it wouldn't work with my date field. I've tried a few variants on the field and finally just gave up. I don't know why it wouldn't work.

*facepalm* Yup. Overthinking. My co-worker claims I do that ALOT. (I think he's right) Of course now I'm having issues with a date search inside of one of the REST services. I'm using... <value prompt="Example: 1/1/2014-12:56" isvaluerequired="true">(ALARMDATE) = trime('[value]')</value> And getting squat. I've used "ALARMDATE = '[value]'" and (ALARMDATE} LIKE ('%[value]%') and nothing is working... I'm not certain on the DATE requirements for fields in the eSearch widget so it's probably something simple... any ideas?

Ok... I see how this could work. But how do I configure this IN the widget? Is there an example? I can't wrap my head around the XML necessary to get this rolling. One working example would be perfect. I am able to deconstruct from other REST services and such... cut-n-paste would do it. Anyone?

Then I guess my experience with the eSearch widget is incomplete because I've never tried to do a spatial query like this with it. Is there a good example somewhere?

I've been stepping so far away from Flex maps lately due to the Web App Builder and Javascript maps. Now I've got a map that management wants me to keep in Flex right now and add a spatial query element. I have Council Districts (on one layer) and Incidents (each year has it's own layer). I need to create a way for Fire to query incidents by Council District. What the best widget for this?

I am currently unable to visit GeoNet. I get THIS view. And ONLY this view. At least once I log in. I LUCKILY subscribed to several threads / boards and so I get to read up on what all you cool cats are doing on GeoNet, but I don’t get to come play for some reason. Our IT department went through all of the steps necessary to see if the block is on our side, but it is not. It is on ESRI’s side. And without being able to visit the site I’m not sure who I need to contact. So… sorry that I have no good answer. I can’t read the history of your question, I just have a single e-mail with your question in it. No related information to follow up on what it was in response to. --- Brian Scott O’keefe | GIS Analyst City of Tulsa IT Department 175 E. 2nd St. S., Suite 680.
