Wait, you say it's not supported for ArcGIS Online Organizations. I did an Active Directory configuration on our AGOL organization account: Is this not the same thing?

I'm already hearing squawking . . . We have configured our AGOL account to use the Active Directory Federated Services. That being said why is it when I am using the Collector application I first have to log into our network via VPN (with AD credentials) then when I go to my tablet to view my maps I have to log into our AGOL portal (with AD credentials) and then if the map contains a secured service, I have to log in to access that secured service again with AD credentials? Do I have something configured wrong? I thought the whole purpose of Active Directory Federated service was for "single" sign-in.

That's what my impression was as well. For external secured services, I was still planning on using AGOL, but for internal maps and apps I want to use Portal.

At a meeting with an ESRI staff member, our organization was told that Portal is not being used in a production environment other than in huge Federal environments. We were told it is very complex (which I don't doubt) and that most organizations can achieve the same results with web configurations and ArcGIS Online. So my question is "Is your organization utilizing Portal in a production environment successfully right now?"

While collecting data I've noticed that the Samsung Galaxy Android device I'm using it skips over some of the attribute fields when I click the 'next' option on the keyboard. It seems to happen where I have domains. If there are no "default" values, is it typical that the attributes are skipped?

You don't use the "map service" in the webmap, you need to use the "feature service". Collector only shows "feature services" which are the editable services.

Alex, you will need to change from using widgets to modifying the code. I suggest you create a new Open Data site and use it to test out different CSS styles and widget combinations and keep it private. When you find some code or widget that you like, you can then move that code to your public facing Open Data site. Here is a good tutorial the Open Data guru's finally put together to help in creating some code for starters: #ProTip: Changing the page background color on your Open Data site This should help get you started. As for creating the category page, it's all in the "tags"! For ours (Home | City of Phoenix Dev ) I made sure I put the related tag on each dataset (map service in our case) that would relate back to the category: See where the URL references the "?keyword=political", that's the tag I put on the dataset. Then in the "Text Widget" I configured the following: It's been a struggle customizing this Open Data site because you must know, CSS, HTML, Markdown and figures out Widgets! I have found our ESRI contacts to be extremely helpful !!! Hope this helps!

How many records were being returned? More than the 1k?

We use NAD 83 HARN StatePlane AZ... . ESRI support confirmed that even if I changed the Layer Properties to be WGS 1984 Webmercator the problem is in the code that does the projection-on-the-fly and a record limit of 1k.
