We are trying to track down why we constantly have stale connections to our SDE databases. The common thread that all of them have is that they all reference a feature layer from our ArcGIS Servers. Is anyone else experiencing this phenomenon?

So here is what ended up with my "GP Service Hell" . . . "I am glad to hear that your geoprocessing service is working as expected after updating the output location to be a file geodatabase as opposed to an enterprise geodatabase. As we discussed, the storage parameters of enterprise databases adds an extra period to the feature class name, which seems to cause issues for geoprocessing services. Therefore, I recommend not writing the outputs of geoprocessing services to enterprise databases." Once I directed my output to a "scratchworkspace.gdb" on the AGS and registered the file location, I was in business! Hope this helps someone else!

I hear you Bill! I'm trying something similar and I keep getting as far as . . . Invalid return value: e:\arcgisserver\directories\arcgisjobs\ptd\lastvalueused_gpserver\je8a6c767867b4c5589fa306fcdcce59b\scratch\scratch.gdb\MapTransit.GIS.BUS_STOPS_Sort Failed. I'm getting this similar error on ANY GP Service I try and run including the buffer one I've tried!

When entering or editing data with collector, we are encountering a problem where the "time" portion of the record is 7 hours off? Oracle record: The actual time this record was edited was at 2:50pm (Arizona time) I verified the device date and time were correct . . . I verified the ArcGIS Server date and time were correct . . . Our DBA swears the database date and time are correct . . . Where else could this erroneous time be coming from?

I want to use the URL "find" parameter in WAB just like you can do in the webmap: webmap example: http://phoenix.maps.arcgis.com/home/webmap/viewer.html?webmap=bf447e31ad814fd2951df1fb70cf8592&find=2023%20W%20Village%2… Which produces: I want to do this with WAB. Is it possible? I've read Use URL parameters—Web AppBuilder for ArcGIS | ArcGIS and it says you can "To include more than one parameter, use an ampersand (&) to separate the parameters." but I have not been successful in getting it to work?

Oh for the love of Pete . . . . yet again "can't do that with ArcAnything"... NIM083213 : Allow support of SQL Server Sequences with ArcSDE. Public explanation: Auto-populated fields such as identity or sequence-generated are not supported by core-geodatabase model.

I'm trying to use a SQL Server 2012 "sequence" value as the binding value for a field: If I enter a record using the command line method, it adds the record with the values just fine (Junk Record 4): But if I use Web Appbuilder it does not insert the NEXT VALUE FOR (Junk Record 5): I also noticed that the field with the "Default Value or Binding" MUST allow NULL values or Web AppBuilder will not insert the record! Any one else using sequences in SQL Server and run across this issue? Solution? I'm more of an Oracle database user so don't use SQL Server "big words" on me . . . LOL!

I was just curious on how to address this potential (and very likely) situation... When AGOL applications are linked to individual users: And that individual user leaves the organization and there is no replacement user, wouldn't it be better to create a "named user" like NSD_Apps to accommodate the movement of people in organizations? What are other folks doing out there?

Kelly, So I'd like to know what Rebecca asked: "what permissions do they really have? ". This is critical to know as the Author role can: Author—Content creators, in addition to the privileges of the analyst, create groups and publish hosted tile layers. which is something we restrict unless justified! (Gotta watch those credits now don't we! LOL!) Please advise...
