No, I have not. I will have the SDE Admin try that though! Thanks!

I am having a similar experience. I was having issues editing (poor performance, slow, unable to snap, spinny wheel etc). I just got off the phone with ESRI tech support who identified that the 3 feature classes I was trying to edit were all SDE Geometry and that I should copy them and change the Config Keyword to SDEBINARY. He mentioned that he had three other tickets just this week having the same poor editing performance issues.

Right now as a blob in the table, but I think we might migrate to a hyperlink to an external source.

Hi Trista, It is my understanding that Global ID's should be unique to each feature and so should REL_GlobalID. Maybe someone else has an idea??? -Jesica

Here are the instructions I came up with: Merging Feature Classes with Attachments For each feature class and attachment table add a new text field NewTextField Populate each “NewTextField” using the field calculator with the following: Feature Class – GlobalID Field Calculator – NewTextField = GLOBALID Attachment Table – REL_GLOBALID Field Calculator – NewTextField = REL_GLOBALID Check to ensure all records join Join Feature Class to Attachment Table then Validate Join The numbers of matching records should match Cancel the join Merge the feature classes together to create a new feature class Merge the tables together to create a new attachment table Add a long integer field to the merged attachment table. REL_OID Join the Attachment Table to the Feature Class using the “NewTextField” While joined, populate REL_OID with the ObjectID from the Feature Class Remove Join. Run the Feature Class to Feature Class tool on the merged Feature Class and remove the GLOBALID in the Field Map. This needs to be done in order to relate the attachments using the OID. Create the attachment table for the merged feature class with no global ID. Load data from the merged attachment table and change the matching source field from <none> to REL_OID Check to ensure attachments are now visible in ArcMap. Hopefully this works for you! One thing that I am still working on is getting the merged feature classes serviced back up on to AGOL. It seems that AGOL is not happy with the removal of the GLOBALID field...this could also be operator error Good luck!

Hi- This happened to my field staff a while back. We updated Collector and it seemed to fix the issue. What is your work detail scale? We were also waiting quite a while for syncing to take place, both when we were downloading our work area and at the end of the day. The greater the work detail and larger the work area, the longer the sync. The other thing I found was that if the iPad went to sleep, the syncing stopped...so if we left it at the end of the day I tried to make sure it was set to not have the iPad go to sleep. -Jessica

Eric, I have managed to get this to work. Once I document the steps, which are very similar to what Paul has suggested, I can post them for you. -Jessica

Hi Paul, Thanks! Using your instructions and then a little bit of this: 41763 - Batch export attachments from a feature class I finally managed to get it to work. Adding a GIS_ID and removing the Global IDs is what finally got this to work for me. I have managed to replicate the process once and I need to do it one more time, hopefully writing down the steps so I have how I got this to work documented... again...thank you thank you thank you!!!

Hi there! I am having some trouble with merging feature classes that include attachments. I have 2 feature classes, both were created using Collector and ArcGIS Online. I cannot figure out how to reestablish the relationship tables so that I can see the attachments in ArcMap. I have tried following these instructions: "Add new text field to All Participating Feature Classes & Their Attachment Tables Add and Calculate New Field to Equal GlobalID for Feature Classes, and REL_GlobalID for Tables Merge Feature Classes. Merge Tables. Add New Long Integer Field to Merged Table (Like REL_OID). Join Merged Table to Merged Feature Class Based on Text Equivalent to GlobalID. While Joined, Populate New Field with OID from Merged Feature Class. Feature Class to Feature Class - Remove GlobalID in Field Map. Enable Attachments on Merged Feature Class (Creates New Table & Relationship). Right Click Newly Created Attachment Table and Load Data from the Merged Table. In the Field Map, Specify the New Field Based on the Field Containing the OID Obtained from Merged Feature Class, Leave the Remainder Default. Check Results in ArcMap." But I get lost somewhere around the "Join Merged Table to Merged Feature Class Based on Text Equivalent to GlobalID" step... I have googled and searched and searched and just cannot seem to figure this issue out. The whole reason for using Collector and taking photos was so that we would then be able to see the images that were taken in ArcMap. I have to remove my feature classes from AGOL because the images are using a crazy amount of credits and then the plan is to republish from our own server but I kinda need the images to show up... Any help would be greatly greatly appreciated!!! -Jessica

Hi Paul, I am also having the same issue as the original poster. I seem to get confused somewhere around the step about Feature Class to Feature Class - Remove Global ID in Field Map. Am I creating another feature class? Or just removing the Global ID? I created a new feature class, enabled attachments and then loaded the data from the Merged Table. I specified the new field with the REL_OID field and left the remainder default. When I open up ArcMap I am still not seeing the attachments... Do you have any further guidance? Thanks!!! -Jessica

Hi Farrah, No answer I am also trying to transfer attachments to a new feature class in a different gdb (same geometry, different schema)and I have yet to figure out how to get the attachments to go with the geometry, I think it is partly due to the fact that collector calls all of the attachments photo_1.jpg...and partly due to me not knowing how to work with relationship tables as well as I should...

Hi- I am hoping someone out there can help me... I have a point feature class with attachments and I need to create a subset of this feature class with attachments and move the subset to a different geodatabase and also change the schema without losing the attachments. I am having a heck of a time figuring out how to do this...any ideas? The attachments are images created using AGOL and collector. I am not super familiar with relationship tables and that may be where my downfall is... Thanks! -Jessica
