If they do respond, would you please mind sharing the response here? I occasionally used that server as a data source so if they have a replacement in the works I would love to know about it as well.

https://igems.doi.gov/ The Igems services were retired apparently. I would contact the website manager on the page about whatever replacement they may or may not have for it.

I think this link will have anything you would need. https://hifld-dhs-gii.opendata.arcgis.com/datasets?group_id=1e1ee73ed7ac4e51948d97f25f33c130 Electric Retail Service Territories should be the local level power company boundaries.

This is a good place to start for alot of energy sector GIS data. https://www.eia.gov/maps/layer_info-m.php What level of detail electric service territory were you looking for exactly? Distributor level or are you trying to get down to the local power company level?

I think the # was the placeholder for a blank expression for the second parameter of Calculate Value. Arc uses them all the time for optional parameters left blank in geoprocessing operations.

I think you need to drop the /rest/ portion of the path to the server. I have a script tool that uses MakeImageLayer and here is the location of the image service I access. Similar to the example in the help. http://kyraster.ky.gov/arcgis/services/ElevationServices/Ky_DEM_KYAPED_5FT/ImageServer

You could write a worldfile for your original tiff(as opposed to using the information in the header) then just copy and rename the worldfile for your photoshopped tiff.

Now that you mention that, I ran into a similar problem when merging and clipping several states worth of floodplain data together. I really only needed 100 and 500 year flood plain areas, not areas of minimal hazard that are also included in the datasets. I queried my data down prior to merging and it worked alot better since it was removing alot of additional geometry from the new dataset.

As for your most recent error, your output file(Precip_bcc-csm1-1_RCP45_Dec2025_Somerset_MD_WGS84) is an ESRI Grid which can only be 13 characters or less, you need to add a file extension to allow for a longer name(I'd keep going with .tif). I guess that also begs the question why your initial raster is even created since it is also apparently a Grid ( I don't see a file extension) that is too long of a file name. I think your merge is working just fine, as the error on the table its throwing is the output of the clip (Chesapeake_Watershed_Flood_Hazard_Areas2NL), not the input of the clip (Chesapeake_States_Watershed_Flood_Hazard_Areas2NL). I recently encountered a similar problem which was caused by have some bad clipping geometry that needed to be repaired, might be similar in your situation. If not have a look at the link below for some other fixes for 999999 errors. http://gisgeography.com/esri-arcgis-999999-error/

The open function requires a valid file name(it doesn't have to exist, it just has to be a file, right now you are using a directory as the input, which probably causing the issue.). If you are needing to use the name of the folder that the txt document is being saved in as the name, I would use os.path.basename to get the name of the folder you are operating in then use that as the name of your text document. Something like this: file = os.path.join(Workspace, "{}" .format(os.path.basename(Workspace) + ".txt")) https://docs.python.org/2/library/os.path.html#os.path.basename

I'd use a print statement on Workspace + "{}".format("Mapbook_MXDs.txt") to make sure its creating the output you think it should. I think you are getting the wrong output due to the fact you are trying to concatenate your workspace and file name but don't have another backslash seperator to have the folder and file name separate. Why not use os.path.join as you did previously?

Hi Doug, A few things, first this should be a question not a discussion if you are able to fix it, if not its no big deal. Second if you want to post code in the future you can use the advanced editor to post code and select the language (See https://community.esri.com/people/curtvprice/blog/2014/09/25/posting-code-blocks-in-the-new-geonet?sr=search&searchId=a87e3927-580f-456c-be47-430463fb88b3&searchIndex=2 for examples on how to do so.). Right now in line 26 you are using the variable fc and it isn't declared til the loop in line 30, which probably causing it to crash at the moment. If you moved it to line 31 and put the current line 31 after it, it would likely work. I would run the program without the Table to Excel Conversion first(comment it out) while printing the variable fc and out_xls to make sure they are what you are expecting them to be, then run it with the conversion. Also if you are receiving errors its good to post what they are since they can help other posters identify potential problems with your code. Also I would recommend using the os module for working with filepaths(see os.path.join), its cleaner than using string backslashes and concatenating filenames together. There are examples in the List Feature Class help as well as python help pages. http://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/arcpy/functions/listfeatureclasses.htm https://docs.python.org/2/library/os.path.html https://docs.python.org/2/library/os.html
