James, This is helpful. I guess I didn't realize that when creating a new survey you could build one from a Feature Service.........  Kind of a bone head move on my part! That practically solves my problem! I guess I need to test it with the user now and see how it goes. I also guess I didn't realize that working with AGOL files (feature services) directly in ArcGIS Pro that normal operations (like Append) worked. That's a great feature to have too! Now I just need this to work and I'm good to know. I'll report back when I get a chance. Thanks again! EDIT: It looks like that in order to work on existing rows/feature, the user would have to use the Survey123 app instead of the web browser. EDIT2: Alright James, quick question that I hope has an easy answer. When I look at the Inbox of surveys, it's messy.  Is there a way to make it cleaner to where it only shows certain things? Is that where I would use the Query Expression in the Inbox Settings? (I think I answered my own question - yes. I just need to figure out how to make it look best!). ... View more

You cannot edit CAD layers in ArcGIS Pro. But if you were to convert your CAD into a geodatabase or another feature class, you can then edit. ... View more

Ok, several things.  1. This is weird. 2. I can see your catalog pane right now on the right hand side. That's your catalog pane. You can navigate to your file from there. 3. You can add your CAD file by the Add Data button in the Map ribbon. 4. I wonder if you have the chance to expand your window more. I find that when my Pro application is not fully maximized (full screen) that some of the buttons get shrunk down and end up in a not-easy-to-find drop down list. 5. If nothing else works, right click somewhere in the blank space in the Windows area under the View ribbon, then click on Customize this ribbon. Here you can add your different options like Catalog Pane and Catalog View: 6. Out of curiosity, do you have the latest Pro installed? We're on 2.4x at the moment. 7. Peter,  do you have access to ArcGIS Pro? In Pro when CAD layers are imported, they separate into layer/levels automatically. To do this in ArcMap, you would need to perform a definition query on your layer (well, several definition queries). James Tedrick, thanks again for the help and feedback. I feel like I'm missing one step here and not sure how to complete the process. I have a feature class I made from a CSV table. I put it in Pro and published it to AGOL (I do have one point with a location, so I'm not sure if that messes things up or not, but I can get rid of that one). I also created a survey in Survey123 Connect with the same fields as my feature class. I have the Enable Inbox thing checked on in the settings. But, once I have these two items, how do I append my existing data into my new Survey123 feature class (or am I not thinking properly here)? I know I can append stuff in Pro but that's just a desktop feature and wouldn't reflect in the cloud (to my knowledge). Is there a way to read my existing feature class into my newly created Survey? Or join them together in ArcGIS Online somehow? I didn't see an Append option in my AGOL Analysis tools. Or would that be like a Join? Thanks again! ... View more

Peter, When you say remove geometry, do you just mean deleting the line? If so, then no it is not difficult. (I mean, it requires an edit session and such so it's not as streamlined as AutoCAD, but still not difficult - and even less difficult in ArcGIS Pro). ... View more

Peter, This is something I deal with regularly (except my CAD stuff is dgn/MicroStation). The answer is, it all depends on what you want to do and your workflow. So, questions, do you need the new waterline to completely overwrite the old waterline? Or are you just adding on? Would it be a major pain if you added a new line and got rid of the old line (pain meaning redoing all the attributes, etc.)? I deal with land parcels going form CAD to GIS frequently. When I get my original dataset, they come in, I give them the appropriate attributes, and we're good to go. If I get brand new parcels to add to my set, there are a few ways to go about updating my data (everyone has their preference). I pull in the raw CAD data into GIS and depending on the complexity of the parcels I eventually add it to my master list. So, if it's s simple square, I can digitize it it. Otherwise, I usually just sometimes copy and paste the new geometry into my active layer. This requires some quality control to make sure things came across appropriately but it works out. The alternative is importing the new CAD data into a new feature class in your geodatabase and then appending that data to your existing set. I don't like having a ton of one-off layers in my GDB so I don't always do this. When I have to fully replace existing geometry with new geometry, this is a little more tricky. I usually bring in the new geometry on top of the old one, bring it in as a new feature into the same feature class, copy the attributes over, then delete the old feature. Of course, you have to quality control this stuff to make sure things are looking the way they're supposed to look. My biggest issue I find is geometry issues. Performing a Repair on the geometry fixes these. I hope this helps but let me know if you have more questions about workflow. ... View more

I guess I don't understand why I need to need to publish a layer, and append it to another layer,as opposed to just one big layer (but I am guessing I will figure it out when I do this process).
