Hi Angela, That is a great question. And that was my impression as well. I always 'understood' the NAD 1983 US Feet system to be the original version and all the other versions were 'corrections' and other types of 'potentially more accurate' systems. I will be curious to hear what others say though. Cheers, Adrian

Cameron, it does not appear to be an easy task, but, like you said, it is do-able. If you just used the template to create your story map, then this won't work. You will have to download the source code of the story map and modify that code. You can get the code for it here (if you have not already done this): GitHub - Esri/shortlist-storytelling-template-js: The Shortlist story map application template by Esri

Hi Melvin, If the code will work with 10.4, then you can get a "trial" version from Esri's site, here: ArcGIS for Desktop | Free Trial Otherwise, your professor should have an install DVD that has ArcGIS 10.2 on it (or at least I would hope).

Hi Cameron, I believe it is possible but you will have to dig into the JavaScript of the application. Esri has an example of how to apply clustering to a map on their site, here: Point clustering | ArcGIS API for JavaScript

Hi Jonathan, Take a look at the following stack exchange site. There are some step by step instructions that may help get you what you need: convert - Character encoding support in geodatabases and shapefiles - Geographic Information Systems Stack Exchange

Hi Motasem, I had this very same problem for a while. I finally had to break down and call Esri support. That was the only way to get my licenses deauthorized. They even remoted into my computer to deauthorize with no success. We had to go a "backdoor" approach that only Esri can accomplish. There were some "changes" to the licensing at Esri lately and they are having some "server" issues apparently. You will have to call Esri Support. Please be sure to have your customer number (can be found at My Esri webpage).

That is unfortunate. Maybe this type of data does not exist at the state-wide level? There may be bits and pieces of it scattered around. Have you tried asking the folks who gave you a shapefile about a potential outcrop dataset? This may be a little far-fetched but have you tried contacting people in the Penn State Geology department? There may be someone there who could point you in the write direction (since the State does not seem to have this resource): Contact Us | Department of Geosciences, Penn State

Hi Ali, I am the same as Rebecca in terms of still using shapefiles with ArcPad (I have a little bit of a trust issue and I need more 'control' on my end to make sure that things are going smoothly). I believe to check in and check out data with your SDE is the same as you would for a geodatabase (using the check in and check out tools from the ArcPad Data Manager). I always had issues with this since there was not much versatility in doing this (it all had to be from the exact same machine and nothing could be different). There are some resources out there for this process. Take a look at this forum post: https://community.esri.com/thread/12292#comment-144647 Depending on what version of ArcPad you have, take a look at this really old support file (using ArcPad 7, but the process is likely still the same): 32862 - Check Out/In data from ArcMap to ArcPad for editing And, in case you are using online feature services, this is a nice blog post on how to update those: https://blogs.esri.com/esri/arcgis/2013/09/22/feature-service-sync-in-arcpad-10-2/

Hi Eric, Where are you located? Sometimes that has a big factor on what you can and cannot use. I'm not sure about being able to turn off certain features within Openstreetmap. It seems like the Google question is brought up a lot and there never seems to be a good answer to that question. There is a link for using Google Maps Layer for ArcGIS JavaScript API but it may not work now? http://www.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=a8f78cc6adea48cb8e962d7e36b9d010 Also, there is some info in this post from Kevin MacLeod: https://community.esri.com/message/547361#comment-574467 I actually responded to a post last month about this (I kind of forgot about it...) https://community.esri.com/message/591148#comment-591268 I hope you find something that works!
