I have a Pro Project that I use to create PDF maps for One Call (underground locates) There are 400 polygons in the Locate. Each polygon has a text description of the buried assets. What I am looking for is a method of text entry to enter the ticket number or numbers for the locate. Right now I simply access the Text Field in the layout and enter the ticket number(s) what I am envisioning is a table to the right of the layout where I can paste ticket numbers and they will fill out in the text field.

A good practice is to stick with common fonts for labels. Ariel is one of the most common

What Font did you use for your labels? When exporting the pdf select the option to embed the fonts.

Could you do a screen capture of your symbol as it is built?

I think the simple answer is that your symbol is to complex. Meaning you created a symbol with many layers. Some of the layers are rotated within the building of the symbol. Try to create the symbol with out any rotation inside of the symbol.

Start off by checking what your monitor resolution is set at. Right click on an empty part of your display and select Display Settings. If your Scale and layout is set to anything other than 100% change it to 100% If you do that and now things are too small to read take a look at your Display Resolution. It is at the Max resolution. Try lowering it.

Comments like that make me tend to think you develop very simple applications or have someone else develop them for you. Or an exceptional ego. @GraemeHill I agree. Quite often it is important to check an application as it works for the Field Worker. It can be cumbersome to change your Type and Role to test an application.

Actually it decreases the functionality of the application. Here is my example. We are using Collector to add Drawing Markups done in the field back to the database. Each Project has a Project Number. Each Project Number has Issues. There may be 1 to 19 Issues per Project number. Yesterday a Field Technician went to submit Drawing Markups to Project 202344-13. When he searched for Project 202344 it only showed the first 12 Issues. Now please do not tell me he should search for 202344-13 (which does work, but there is only one)

Unfortunately some good ideas, that really should be a no brainer, get suggested then ignored until they are very old. This idea is a no brainer and should be a part of the Organization Default Settings. We use just such a legal disclaimer.

Thanks. I will use your answer. It really does not make sense as it is part of a text string inside of an attribute.

I am using Pro and Arcade scripting for creating labels. We have a field set aside for labels. $feature.MBLABEL The script looks like "<fnt size= '8'>" + $feature.MBLABEL + "</fnt>" For each and every label it works fine. However, if there is an Ampersand in the MBLABEL field it does not Example the Text String in the field is "Cooperative Light & Power HQ" The below image shows how it breaks the label. Removing the Ampersand fixes the issue. Is this a known issue with Arcade? Removing the <fnt> scripting fixes it as well. But then why bother with Arcade at all.

Performance in ArcGIS on a computer is strongly dependent on the RAM, GPU, and the processor. I would recommend a gaming laptop. Not the low end budget gaming laptops. You will need a 64 bit system. For each of these it is the recommended. And more is better 4 Cores 8 GB RAM Dedicate GPU, not shared, not integrated. 4 GB of Video Memory.
