I just did this. I just changed the name of the old one and made the new one with the same name. Updated sharing and sent out a email with a link to the new dashboard with instructions on how to update a book mark. 147 active users and only one had an issue.

You should be able to. At least in Python If you are using some of the same variables for each portion of the script multiple times you can use del <variable name> function. look into that

I would combine the points into a single table. Then use the XY to Line tool from the first point to the second point. As an added benefit you now have a line showing the direction of movement between 2 points, and you could symbolize the lines with an Arrow on the end to show the direction. and in the future if you get a point 3 or 4 or more you can add them. The lines would then have the distance in them in the shape length. This is an older technique that I had used years ago. If your XY coordinates are in meters your good. Otherwise create a second xy double and calculate them in meters. Combine the tables and export them to Excel. Then using the hypotenuse formula calculate the distance. Or you could

The next thing I would check would be to make sure you still not using Collector Classic. If you go to the App store and search for Collector you will see the 2 versions. The next things would be to see how much free memory you have on your iPads. If you do not have a lot of space available on your iPads it could be crashing it. How old are the iPads and what version of the OS are they running? Are they running the most current iOS? 14.6 is the most current I believe. This is pulling at strings. After these things I would look to see if someone made changes to the original feature service. But that might be a stretch.

I guess it is a matter of how you look at it. I do think of this as a solution. There is only one polygon feature class. In that polygon feature class is a single polygon for each project area. You would store the polygon feature class in your database just like any other feature class. If you are going to create multiple layouts for each project you will still need a feature to base the Map Series on.

Jak se mas. Normally I would do it by specifying an Attribute to designate the dynamic text from. In our system a given project takes place in a designate area. We create Project Polygons for each Project Area. In that we put the Project Number. We then create our Map series and use that project name attribute as the dynamic text for that project.

Near tables are a geoprocessing tool that will store the attributes of a near feature that you can use in a join to transfer attributes. However, if you only have 800 lines to move I would simply open the features in ArcMap instead and simply move them. Create Data Driven pages on the lines to move so you don't miss any.

I can give a lengthy explanation using a combination of geometry and or analysis queries. However, how many points are we talking. if it is as few about a thousand points I would just move them manually and then use near tables to transfer attributes of the points and just use the old lines. or just create a geometric network on the existing and move them to the new locations.

By default database times is going to be GMT. for my organization it works out ok as our work hours on a given day fall between GMT 0000 and 2400. So the time is off 5 or 6 hours but the date is correct. I did have one group of people in an application years ago that wanted to export the photos taken with collector and name them by location name and date and time. So I created a formula in MS Access to convert the time to -5 or -6 depending on the time of year. I had to update it the next year because the time change was on a different date. However the project ended and I only had to change that once. The end result of the iff formula was to subtract .25 or 0.208333 depending on what time of the year it was. I applied it to all 5 parts of the parts of the dated Your situation appears that you have people collecting in multiple time zones. You will then want to use a search by location using a time zone polygon and designate which time zone they are in and act accordingly

first check to make sure you are still not using Collect Classic. Upgrade to the new version. Is there a good reason why you are still using 18.0.3? I am not a fan of Apple, BUT we have found that core ESRI is built around Windows PC for desktop and Apple for all mobile devices. Others are an afterthought. People look at the low price of a Galaxy tab and think it will be ok.

Get a mobile device built in the last couple of years. Battery degradation is often attributed to leaving your device in the hot sun or a hot place, like the dashboard of your car on a 90F day. Think of your device like you would a favorite pet. You would not leave it in a car with the windows rolled up on a hot day. The older your battery technology is on your device the more your going to have issues.

Quite a few of our company's field workers use Collector and to a lesser extent Field Maps. One of the most common questions is how can we configure Collector so it starts in the Maps screen (home screen) and NOT in the last used application?
