are you getting an empty list returned (e.g. [ ] ) or an error? If just an empty set, print out the valid of you inputFldr to make sure 1) it is valid (do this in the program, before the point it crashes), and 2) that it contains rasters (set up the Python window with the same env.workspace and check it.. I am testing on a window 7 machine, so if it is a win10 issue, I have no way to test.

Nice write up Curtis. We also use a different login convention for our AGOL users <fnam.lnam>_<agency abbreviation> (a tip from me) I typically recommend keeping these logins separate from the geonet/community and myesri is possible. That makes it easier for users to keep their geonet/community logins if they separate from services, and also makes it easier for the administer to disable the accounts in AGOL, and to disable access in myesri when needed. If a separate account, and the users has not users a organize specific login name for their geonet, they should be able to retain access. They of course may need to change their email associate with the geonet/community account. I also recommend the new(ish) ability to "link" a number of accounts, if you have them. You may get a message that account A does not have the proper access to AGOL or myesri, but it then lets you choose another one that does. I have found this new feature very handy, since I'm one that has many esri logins. Thanks for the write up.

I found this, which may have some things to try Checking via ArcPy if ArcMap is in edit session? - Geographic Information Systems Stack Exchange This may be more of an ArcMap tool, but I'm looking at it too since testing for edit sessions would be handy for me too (right now, I manually use the SDE Database administrator and look for locks). I have seen other post tools for running nightly rec/post and compress too, and my guess is they check for edit sessions too. I don't have one of those thread at my finger tips, but might be worth a search. My guess is you've already seend the help to get a list of the connected users. Manage connections in SQL Server—Help | ArcGIS Desktop Think I found it......I'm testing and will add a post EDIT: this looks like it should work, but I'm getting False even after opening a session. I am testing against a version SDE with topology. import arcpy
myConn = r'Database Connections\[email protected]'
arcpy.da.Editor(myConn).isEditing
Editor—Help | ArcGIS for Desktop btw - I converted you document to a question. You should get more views/responses.

I'm not sure about shutting off, but have you tried using the "sort" (by title or date) and/or the "search" in the upper right hand corner? That should help with filtering. Are you using with or without logging in to your ArcGIS Online or Portal account? If logged on, if you have any "favorites" checked, those will also flow to the top. I haven't played around enough with Explorer to know how the different sharing options affect it (i.e., if not shared but you are logged in as you). Just some suggestions. Maybe you can put in a suggestion for this option on the ideas page?

On a quick look, to me it looks like the for loops are going to try to add all layers. Maybe you can grab date part of the name and do a compare until you find the latest? Or it if it will always be the last item on the list, get a count and try to grab that. Just a few things to try.

I'm not sure if this will work or not, but sometimes when things are partially deleted, for whatever reason (e.g. because of edit tracking) some times recreating the fc with the same name, then then trying again (maybe able to turn tracking off) will work. Doesn't always, but might be worth a try.

If you have a common network drive it should work, although may be a little slower on the install (network traffic etc). edit: I should add that you would want to run the .exe and have the extract destination on that network drive for others to access the setup.exe. We used to do that, but found distributing the downloaded file and having it expanded locally in remote offices was a better choice.

Hi Derek, I contacted tech support and this is what we came up with and what I am trying.. on second machine, install ArcGIS Server as before (same setup file) on myEsri->my Organizations -> Licensing ->Create New Provisioning File select "ArcGIS Enterprise", "10.5-10.5.1", "ArcGIS Server", and "Server licensing roles only". on next page, check box for the Image Server to authorize and go thru the rest of the steps to have the file emailed to me. Back on the Image Server server, run thru authorization as usually, selecting the "already have file" and point to this new provisioning file Goto https://<machinename>:6443/arcgis/manager when it asked to create a new server or join, select create a new (tech support said they recommend not having it as a cluster) finish logging in, setup security and other aspects of manager as before So far, so good. I'm able to access our https//<machinename>:6443/arcgis/rest/services NEXT STEP (not done yet), would be to set up web adaptors for this Image Server machine. We will have to call them unique names from those web adaptors used for ArcGIS Server. We will be using the same IIS machine and URL. We do not have our web adaptors working correctly for ArcGIS Server yet, so this step has not been done or tested. I have not tried to create and Image Services yet....next week. Just wanted to finish my hijacking of this thread and provide the info for others.

So, my guess is it is an issue with how you are entering the parameter value in the tool. Maybe look at Understanding script tool parameters—Help | ArcGIS Desktop after you do the split, I would check to see if arcpy.Exists(dFile) because maybe it needs the r"z:\pro......" to recognize the path. I always try to avoid spaces in path names...they can only cause problems. imo. Q: is the path always the same and the same base file name? Maybe just select the .pdf and have if check for any and other files with the dwg or other extension ahd have it loop thru them?

My guess, if it was suppose to read/write from the same folder, and the output was defaulting to the env.workspace (which it couldn't find, so it tried the default .gdb) and the input maybe was explicitly set....it didn't like it. Typos can cause strange errors if it can't find the path/gdb. my 2 cents.

try testing to see if your in_dataset exists both before and after trying to delete (line one) arcpy.Exists(in_dataset) when you are listing the dataset in line 9, the output does not look correct. if it was a ..\ at the beginning instead of ... it would bring you up a (folder) level from the current workstation environment (I believe) but ...AndSomeName does not seem like a proper name. However, based on the error, it looks like maybe you are dealing with Oracle?? And I use SQL and fgdb not Oracle, so can't be of much help. However, just an fyi the ERROR 999999 is a default message when they have no additional info on the specific issues. But grabbing that part of the error you got and makin it a little more legible might help. Basically, it is not finding the table, so it can't find anything else it needs. Make sense at all? ERROR 999999: Error executing function.

Oops, sorry....just noticed you need field names. Are you having the user select in the dialog...allowing multiple? Then you need to split by ; I believe. You want the field list in the dialog to be dependent on the fc selected. Look in the tool help ...there is something in there about that. I hAve done it...fields tend to be easy....setting dependencies on other things, not always so easy. if you don't need the to select, you can get a list of the fields and cursor thur the...skip these that up you know you have to. edit Understanding script tool parameters—Help | ArcGIS Desktop Validating was the other topic that can control dependancies from other parameters...in the dialog itself.

My appologies, our network is down so I am responding on my iPad, but some tips... first off, make sure your get statements are in the Sam order as the are on the tool parameters page. CaSe and indentation is VERY important with Python, do make sure the commands are in the correct case at a minimum. And in you sample...indentation is off. After a : next line is indenting, and all the rest in the block..I pe you cursor block my typical process (again, sorry about formatting) myFirstParam = arcpy.GetParameterAsText(0) if not myFirstParam: myFirstParam = "a default value here" # or an addMessag for an error # then you can use myFirstParam in you script, if ok i typically set my workstation to a variable then set the environment to the variable. Most likely you will need to use the oath again somewhere in your script. Hope thus helps. other tips for posting questions, just FYI https://community.esri.com/community/help-and-feedback/blog/2016/08/15/community-news-and-tips-how-to-ask-questions-and-get-answers?sr=search&searchId=8a10e4b6-a0ef-4c03-94a3-8527453b3718&searchIndex=4
