Sorry, a bit confused here. Are you asking how to get the XY coordinates out of the fc and into the text file? This is a point feature I take it.

And, in the script tool properties / parameters, what have you set the data type to? As these are text files, this should by type Folder. Do you have try / except blocks in your code? Get rid of them to reveal any actual error. Version? A look at the code would also be useful to see.

Do you have your ridge data as a tin? You could create another tin by digitising a few points around the upper and lower sides, and with a bit of math, make it have a ~5deg slope. Then use Surface Difference—Help | ArcGIS Desktop to get the volume.

If the 2 list of features and rasters sort in the same order you could make a zipped list like this. >>> rasList = ["Ras01", "Ras02", "Ras03"]
>>> fcList = ["Fc01", "Fc02", "Fc03"]
>>> zipped = zip(fcList, rasList)
>>> zipped
[('Fc01', 'Ras01'), ('Fc02', 'Ras02'), ('Fc03', 'Ras03')]
>>> With the 2 lists being created by ListRasters & ListFeatureClasses in each workspace. Then iterate through the zipped list to do what you want to do.

You can take your original raster and then convert it into a raster with only 1's or No data using the raster calculator. With a function like Con(IsNull(Ras), Ras, 1). Then convert this to a polygon using Raster to Polygon—Help | ArcGIS Desktop

Do you have some categorical rendering set up to draw the polygons? ie if you have 3 classes (1, 2, 3), but you digitise a new one with a value of 0, nothing will draw.

You too, have a good Easter. But on the subject of project data, no matter how urgent the deadline, it is always time well spent reviewing and organising the data. You will find that a properly structured database will save time in the long run and also make the process more repeatable next time.

Sorry Fancesca, but all this "its works one day then it doesn't the next"... is bugging me. Computers or software doesn't just wake up one morning and decide to do something differently. Well, maybe with windows updates, sometimes it does . But, most times it revolves around the operator So I suggest you carefully review your project structures, get the data organised properly - fgdb's for example. Make sure everything has meaningful names, so you know what's what. Check those coordinate systems in ArcCatalog. Good luck.
